Quoted me $2685, to rebuild my engine. Left it there, got a call three days later that it would not be $6200. Aside from that they wanted to scam me into a $2500 loan with a 96% interest rate if not paid in 30 days. Plus additional fees even if paid within 90 days. Went look at parts they had recommended be replaced 90% of which were fine. Plus they have completely taken the entire engine along with the front wheels and dismantled it. I towed my truck up to this shop where they told me it would be about a week. It ended up being almost 2,000 more than what he had expressed in the beginning and upon driving the truck home the check engine light came on so I called the shop to see what he was going to do about it after all he gave me and unlimited miles warranty he stated to me that I had to wait because he was down to one mechanic and he did not have any room for me to bring the truck up to Phoenix. Now he's giving me the runaround after having taken my money my time and my patience! Do not I repeat do not go to this shop it is crooked and they will rip you off. I got my car towed there and they said they they would do it. 2 days later they called about having us sign some paperwork and make a deposit. Our deductable thru our extended warrenty company is $200.00. Ramon wants a deposit of 500-1000 to even start on our vehicle. When we told him our part is 200, and our company would pay the rest at the end. Ramon told me to come pick it up or have it towed, they would not work on our vehicle. Now I'm handicapped, and have enough stress in my life already I say this, if you want a company that explains things and doesn't throw an attitude if they don't get their way. I did have some issues with a 2004 Dogde truck after the initial rebuild, but some of that should be chalked up between a misunderstanding between my brother (who owns the vehicle) and Eddie. They let me bring the truck in and the addressed my issues. The truck has been running well since and the issue I had have not return. Long story but worth the read before spending money with them! Like other comment here I too had many issues with this business. The following is my story and your decision to do business with who ever is yours. In October I had my truck picked up for a quoted $2495 rebuild. Once the truck was there the quote went to $5400 and then was decreased to $4400. I picked the truck up and less than 375 miles later the engine began to misfire. On November 8thI contacted them for warranty work and the truck wasn't accepted until December 27th. Once the truck was there, it sat untouched until the beginning of Feb. in that time I contacted Eddie multiple times and was told the same thing every time, "it should be something easy, I got a guy scheduled on Monday and it'll be done by Thursday." I got tired of the wait and contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges and I told Eddie that I was done waiting that I wanted a refund. I was rewarded half of my money back which upset Eddie that when he called to tell me my truck was "done and the engine is beautiful", he threatened to hold my truck until I gave him the money back. I refused mainly because I was skeptical about the truck. Upon picking up the truck I was told it was a fuel injector and a PCV valve that I still need to replace and there was a head gasket leak. The truck was brought in with 2 engine codes and no leak. The truck began to malfunction less than a mile away and when I called them all they did was yell at me. At that point I washed my hands of them. I immediately took the truck to another mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine had internal knocking, was reassembled improperly, missing pieces, and 13 codes. The overall recommendation at this point is the engine needs to be replaced. I was able to get a full refund from my bank but now I'm at a worse point than when I first hired Exclusive. Two pieces of advice I offer if you choose to do business with them. 1) pay with credit card as the credit card will support you when you have issues 2) Arizona is a one-party consent state in term of recording phone calls (A.R.S. 13-3005). I have never had a worse experience with a company ever. Without any doubt, I can confirm the mechanics here have no mechanical certifications nor do they have any idea what they are doing. After nearly 6 months of my truck being "rebuilt" running worse than ever before and going back I finally took it to another shop. I ended up with a 15 page report with photos showing missing bolts, bolts replaced in the wrong spots as well as multiple leaks including coolant, power steering, and engine oil. None of the leaks existed prior to entering this shop. In addition, parts that were fine prior ended up getting broken these parts included the motor mounts, injectors, and A/C compressor. The shop refused to give any sort of refund for the work that was never done and this ended up costing me nearly $15,000 to have corrected by a true, certified mechanic. Very poor management they rebuilt my cars engine and left parts off very unprofessional when I showed the guy what they did and showed him pictures that they left my knock sensor inside of my cars oil filter which they had put on because they change the oil they told me they could fix it for more money and I had already paid them for a total engine rebuild totally unprofessional do not get your car rebuilt here find somewhere else! I took in a Bentley to have the engine rebuilt after they said it would be no problem. We agreed on 6500.00 dollars in labor and I would supply the parts. Well i supplied the parts and gave them 5500.00 dollars cash deposit they always ask for cash and after 8 months of its almost done it will be ready next week I got it back from them in horrible condition not running and parts missing. I took it out of their shop because they kept lying to me about the vehicle and the progress kept telling me they would find someone to finish it. WELL I have spent almost 7000.00 dollars having the things they did not finish and the things they broke repaired. They offered to build another engine for me at a nice cost for my troubles. So I said ok silly me it was an 1979 Olds and they told me they they took 1850.00 dollars and did not do the job they said old plugs were in the car i supplied them with new ones tops of pistons dirty were not even removed. do not use them I am working with my attorney on a class action law suit they need to be held accountable. read more

Took my pickup on Dec 27 dropped it off and I was told that they would start on it the following Monday. I was told I had to leave it to be in line so it would be scheduled. I was good with that. They told me that the mechanic was sick and they had to push it back to the next week. They start the job wed the third week they didn't finish it Friday the fourth week. Oops it had a water leak so Tuesday the fifth week told me that the rear main was leaking would start Monday the sixth week. said it was good to go Friday got it Saturday drove it 58 miles and it died. It's been there now almost two weeks and have not started the job over. Going on 8 weeks now. owners of shop dose not care about what is going on. 4700 dollars no truck nothing but one false story after another one excuse one thing more. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP . This place does very poor work. I paid 5000.00 for a engine rebuild and it runs worse now then it did before I brung it to them. The craftsmanship is poor as hell. Got it back after they said they were done and its missing bolts, broken off bolts, missing brackets, had no leaks at all before I brung it to them and now everything leaks. They break stuff on the truck and say it was like that. Took it back to them 3 times to fix their mistakes and other problems arrive. All 3 times I took it back I hear other customers calling saying about problems and leaks. I recommend taking your vehicle to a nother shop....... place is a scam and joke. read more

I took my 2005 Ford mustang to them several months ago and it cost me $4,000 in parts and labor instead of the $1,900 I was quoted paint the thermostat housing broke which caused my vehicle to overheat again and they guaranteed me they would warranty the issue and still are going to charge me $300. Two weeks into the rebuild they come back and say I need $800 in parts and after looking up the parts came out to roughly $50. They upcharge their parts 300% or more and do not work with the customer. I don't know what I'm going to do I'm over a barrel I can't get the car towed and I can't drive the car since it is overheating due to a bad knock sensor and again the thermostat housing which I just replaced. I would not recommend this company to anyone and if I could give a zero review I would. I supplied a new compressor and they are going to charge me $300 to charge it and you can get it charged anywhere for $80 they are a scam and money hungry do not take your car here I repeat do not take your car here they will bait and switch you saying it's going to be one price and come back later when they know you are desperate and slip in Moore parts which cost a fraction of the price they are charging. They are not legit and they will not show you what they paid for the parts. I asked for an invoice and they said they no longer have it. Do not go here I well I never recommend them to anyone. Drove my great little '99 Ford Ranger XLT, V6 4.0L, with 96,000 miles on it, from Washington to AZ, pulling a small, 5x8 trailer with my motorcycle inside to ride in the AZ sunshine. When I got to AZ the truck was leaking coolant and the check engine light was on most of the trip. Took it in to the Ford dealer (Peoria Ford) for diags. They told me it needed a long block due to low compression in #4 cylinder, exhaust in the cooling system, rusty cooling system, leaks from timing chain cover and water pump and possible cracked heads. Ford dealer wanted $8,000 for warranteed engine! I only paid $5,000 for the truck 8 years ago! So I called around and EE quoted me $1895 for a short block and another $450 for long block with free towing to their shop and they would have it done in a week. OK! Great! 9 days later, $6,100 for the long block to get myself, my motorcycle and my gear back to Washington in the truck. It didn't run any better then it did with the old engine. Had it checked out when I got home at my local garage and they said it seemed to be ok, no leaks, all cyclinders had compression, but it had a missing breather hose, which they replaced and could have caused some rough running under load. Although I'm glad it got me home, I feel like they took advantage and had me over a barrel. Next time I will research reviews like this to be better prepared before saying "OK." read more

Total scam. Bait and switch with prices. Taken in for lifter noise and camshaft, decided to take advantage of rebuild. Worst mistake ever, not only after 3 times in for "warranty" but truck was damaged and was told that just because it happened at his shop they were not responsible for the damage. On one occasion after picking up the vehicle it got 2 blocks away before it died. Called Eddy, was told the shop was closing and nothing he could do. Eddy assured me it was the fuel pump was bad. After towing it home (at my cost) had a mobile mechanic service come diagnose the "bad" fuel pump, turns out it was poor electrical work that was done by Exclusive Engines and completely unrelated to the operating fuel pump. Again calling Eddy explained, he said that now it was a bad ECU (computer) and to take it to a specialized vehicle electrician. After $480 from other shop to repair electrical caused by motor rebuild I contacted Eddy to return my vehicle for warranty. This time (3rd attempt to repair) the vehicle came out of shop with same noise and a whole lot of heartache, still not fixed. At one point confronting Eddy his employee threatened me with violence in his parking lot (recorded with cell phone). The vehicle currently sits not running and court case pending for damages and breach of contract for over $3500. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Dont go through this like I did, wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Fast Eddy talks very well and nice as could be but will quickly take advantage of you and your vehicle. Beware he likes cash due to his card machine is always down and then you cant stop payment through bank for poor work. I work hard for my money and expect services rendered upon payment, all I got was a truck that is worse condition than what I started with. I brought my truck in to have the engine done and when I got it back I had several problems. They didn't put the grounds on and I had several brackets loose or not even in place! The actual rebuild seems to be in great shape but please check the vehicle over before giving it back. They also did a fuel pump since I originally asked for this to be checked before the rebuild due to missing and low fuel pressure. After they did the fuel pump it took a long to of cranking the engine over to start. I had a fuel pressure check done and it is diagnosed as a bad fuel regulator which is part of the fuel pump. I have tried to get it in to them and I keep getting another day after another day when I have cleared my schedule to have it done. It has now been almost 90 days which is the warranty of the job and I can't seem to get this resolved. I am now beyond frustrated since I paid for more than I wanted but I paid immediately on all repairs. I feel I should now be taken care of since I have now lost money working to clear my schedule only to keep having to return and set another day. I just need my truck right that is all I want! read more

STAY AWAY from this shop! SCAM, dishonest rip off! I took my wife's 2002 Ford Taurus to these guys to have the engine rebuilt. I was quoted on the phone $1795 which after tearing down the engine ballooned to a staggering $4200. Their explanation was that in order to issue 5 yr warranty they had to change engine neighboring parts. They listed those parts on the sign up sheet, which I assumed have to be all installed new according to the price. When I went to pick up the car at the first time I found grounds not hooked up, items loose, wiring not secured. I left it with them for another day and was told everything will be checked and rechecked. The next day I came with my wife to pick the car up, but when looked it over again and I immediately found many issues: the battery cables loose, transmission cables were not secured, hose was not bolted. Now lets go over the things they charged me for and there was no evidence that they actually were changed. 1. Serpentine belt listed for $95 was not changed until I pointed it out that the belt was the old one, 2. New radiator $275, but when I looked at it I found road debris in the cooling fins as if it had been in service for years (as evidence they provided the initial one which I personally changed 2 yr ago, on which the shop deliberately broke the line using the wrong tool), 3. Flywheel (flex plate) $175, they had left the dust shield off that covers the flywheel, which I could plainly see was a rusted old flywheel. When I called and asked about it they said they got it from the junkyard, Really??? WOW a new one is only $60. 4. 6 Spark plugs for $60, they put Autolite brand plugs, these plugs sell for $12 for a set of six. 5. $225 for 2 radiator hoses that they said had to come from Ford dealer. It turned out the they installed Dayton aftermarket hoses not Motorcraft (this is important because they charged me for Motorcraft which are more expensive. Moreover, they broke passenger door foam plastic plate, did not clean after themselves, the engine and car seats are covered in grease and grime. How many people do they send down the road in unsafe vehicles??? It not for me being mechanically inclined, my wife as a simple trusting customer could drive away in unsafe car and easily get into accident. These guys really need to be put out business!!! read more

I brought my truck here to have the engine rebuilt. After the rebuild I had to take the truck back to have a valve cover gasket replaced and then had to have the rear main seal replaced three times. I do not believe they know what they are doing and I know they do not keep their word when it comes to when work will be done. Just for the rear main seal alone my truck has been in their garage for a month. I would not recommend them to anyone. I will only deal with them as long as the warranty is active. read more

Stay far away. These people are dishonest and incompetent. They attempted a Jeep Wrangler engine rebuild in August 2018; after engine rebuild the engine leaked oil and burned 1 quart per 250 miles. Forced them to rebuild their "rebuild" in Jan. 2019. After second rebuild found cracked and non-certified parts including exhaust manifold, main seal bearing leaking live a sieve and other mismatched components. Required to spend additional money to get vehicle in running condition. Damage to other components following their work exceeded 4,000.00 dollars. I would not trust them to do an oil change. read more

The word "untrustworthy" is defined as: not able to be relied on as honest or truthful. My teenage son took his truck to this shop to have his engine rebuilt. The estimate for the work was $1995.00 with the stipulation that "Additional parts may be necessary. Must have a good core." He had the truck looked at by two other mechanics who both stated that the core was fine. Exclusive confirmed this via telephone with my son a couple of days after it was taken to their shop and stated the truck would be completed about a week later. A week later, they contacted my son to inform him that they were starting on the truck. Two days later, they called and told him that his engine was out of the truck and it would cost him over $5,000 to rebuild the engine. He can't afford that, so he refused the recommended repairs. The cost (after they tore out the engine) came in at over 250% more than the original estimate. That is not a trustworthy estimate and was completely irresponsible. I can understand that "additional parts may be needed", but at 250% over the original estimate to rebuild the engine?! When we refused the repairs, they insisted we owed them the "Teardown Fee" of $1,000. The estimate states that "If I choose not to authorize the service recommended, a diagnostic and handling charge (including reassembling) of $1,000 will be made.: Exclusive said, "We don't do that." and left the engine sitting in the bed of the truck; still charging him the full $1,000 fee. When we went down there with a tow truck, we were also charged $85 additional for "additional towing and storage fees" when we had already given them $100 to have the truck towed there in the first place. Also on the estimate, it states, "A storage fee of $25 per day will be charged on all vehicles left over 48 hours after completion of work." No work was completed and the truck was only there one for one day after we refused the recommended services. They, of course, only accepted cash as payment as to deny us any contractual recourse though our bank. So, my son paid $1185 for Exclusive to tear out his engine and put it in the bed of his truck. We tried to reason with them, wanting to pay fairly for the work performed, and offered to pay $500 for the disassembly and $25 for a day of storage, plus the $100 we already paid them for the tow; but they abruptly refused even though their own estimate states that the $1000 fee includes reassembly. They would not give my son his vehicle back until he paid the $1185. So we paid. The tow truck driver who came to tow the truck away stated that he comes out to "these kind of places all the time" and takes a car with the engine torn out because of the same scenario. RUN AWAY!! They do not give trustworthy estimates and do not even stick to the terms of their own agreements. Move on and go somewhere else! read more
