I did the math and it was $11.17 minutes an hour. The chemical cleaning agents were pretty overpowering and I had to open the windows and doors to air out the house (btw, while they were working and after they left) These guys must be accustomed to it, which is a worry, but my wife and I coughed throughout that evening) It would help for them to forewarn customers. It seems to me that they spend less time on each year's annual service, and the guys are in a clear hurry to move on. I said as they exited "thanks for not attempting to sell me a new fireplace" and the lead said "well, you'll need a new one in a few years" in other words, it didn't occur to him to give me a recommended timeline for a replacement. Matchless is exceedingly convenient to my house. I will surely use them again for an annual service but will definitely look for other bids before buying a new fireplace from them -- especially in light of concerning other reviews here.

Did not have the right tools for the job or the ladders . I finally got up on my roof to see what had been done because I am quite old 71 to be exact and found that he had smashed my air vent across the top of the roof as I have a metal roof . He tried to use a standard ladder to get to the top which he could not reach so he laid it down and stood on to ​ the edge in able to get a few inches so he could stretch on his tipping toes to reach the top which he never saw the top . I also witnessed with my own eyes and tried to put up that slid down my chimney which smashed ​ on my roof with him on top of it . Now if you would have bought the correct ladders like a step ladder he would not have done such a poor job . Extremely unhappy with this contractor I would not use him again or recommend him .
