My car was parked at work and got hit, damaging the left rear bumper. Since my car is leased, I wanted to go to a Volkswagen certified repair facility. Exclusive did an excellent job on my vehicle -- it looked brand new. Tony Lake and his team are true professionals and trustworthy. I will definitely be returning if I ever need another body shop repair. read more

This review is long overdue. Mr. Tony Lake and his team, are true professionals at what they do. Long story short. I had many nice cars over the years and many accidents that followed, and delt with many body shops. Some good, some bad, and some definitely ugly. And it never helped that I was a perfectionist in the process, lol. With Anthony, he got the job done every time and always down to great detail. I am truly thankful to Tony and to his amazing team, for being detail oriented every time, on my BMW and it's few corrections. Because when it comes to higher end cars, details are what matters most. This business is, "The Exclusive Auto Collision", center. read more

I am named in two of the insurance company lawsuits ! Exclusive has always done 10 star service ! I understand the lawsuits against Progressive and all insurance companies ! They tell all body shops what they will pay for, not having our best interest in mind. After market parts used parts I give Kudos to Exclusive for fighting for the money he deserves, they have no problem raising premiums without a word to the consumer we are being fed a bill of goods Health insurance and Life Insurance and how about Travel insurance they care only about them selves ! I bring my car to certified people Exclusive is one of them they deserve what they deserve ! Progressive now will have to represent me and will they own up to there insurance practices ? I bet not they will now have someone that has stood up to them for shortchanging them! read more

This body shop orders parts from auto wrecking yards and then cancels them upon arrival to scam the insurance company and the customer. I have been in Business for over 40 years i know how it works and what they are doing. Please watch out for Jerry the scammer. read more

They're the best!! They take time to help you and are trustworthy. They do great work and everyone is helpful

Would never recommend this business. The owner is suing his customers. He says it's because progressive doesn't pay him enough, but if he was a fair business man he would stop taking customers with progressive insurance or tell people up front that they will have to pay out of pocket. Instead he takes your business and tells you he is working with the insurance company, and when the work is done he takes payment from insurance and gives you back your car. Then 6 years later you get served with notice that you are being sued for $6k. Nice guy, right? read more

I had several fender and bender. I tried with different auto shops but Exclusive was the best out of them. They were always honest and provided the best service to me. read more

Getting sued by Exclusive in a civil suit on work done 3 yrs ago on a car I don't even own!! Says some baloney about Progressive not paying them enough but for years continues to take on Progressive claims...Only to set up 100+ people for these civil suits years after never hearing from them!! Heartless and greedy!! Channel 7 news, here we come! 7 on your side!! read more

Sued me personally after failing to agree with my insurance company on reimbursement for work done 2 years ago. Did not contact me or request payment prior to filing the lawsuit. I was completely unaware that there was any dispute or outstanding balance on the work until I was served with a complaint on a Sunday evening. I now have to hire an attorney to respond to the lawsuit, which will cost far more than the amount in dispute. read more

Beware of this body shop. I had my vehicle repaired by them 5 years ago and just received a lawsuit against me for an unpaid balance, an unpaid balance that I was unaware of for 5 years. They never once reached out to me to about the situation. The person that hit me was insured by Progressive and apparently there is an issue between Progressive and Exclusive Auto Collision Center in Ramsey NJ. They are also suing over 160 other customers of Exclusive Auto Collision Center of Ramsey NJ. Proceed with caution, never had an issue with any other body shop. One star is one to many!!!! read more

I am another one who got sued for a car repair that was done 4yrs ago. Why didnt they contact me when this repair happened, so that i could have followed up with Progressive. Sounds like this is their business model to sue clients without any prior contact. And if they are not getting paid by Progressive then why do they accept clients who have progressive. THEY NEED TO GET SUED BACK FOR MENTAL AGONY! read more

I have worked with Exclusive Auto Collision for several years now. I find Tony and his team to be helpful, professional and courteous. He has saved me money over the years and his work is exceptional. We have a love/hate relationship...I hate to have to go to a collision place, but I love the working with this place and wouldn't go anywhere else. I have recommended EAC to many folks and they all agree with me. read more

I had my car repaired there last year . Excellent repair and you can not tell it was in an accident . The owner explained to me the process that the insurance company would only allow knock off parts and pay a labor rate that you could not fix bicycles for . He explained the process of getting reimbursed may require litigation and I was included in this lawsuit and am more than happy to help him with this fight. It was either this or have my car repaired at an insurance company referred body shop. Been there and done that and my car was devalued and deemed unsafe to drive after I got it back that time. 5 stars is not enough for this shop who takes on the insurance company for their clients. Would never go anywhere else but Exclusive Collision if I had a accident! read more

I have used Exclusive for work on 3 occasions and couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and level of service. I have referred friends and they also had excellent experiences. My most recent experiences were with BMWs. Their representative (Jeff) did the estimate at my local BMW dealership (Open Road) and made the whole process very easy. I left the car with him at the dealership and he transported the vehicle back and forth from their shop in Ramsey. He kept me in the loop with time estimates. They advocated for me with the insurance carrier to do the job right and did not cut corners. The quality of their repairs has always been outstanding. Overall I highly recommend Exclusive. read more

I just had an excellent experience with this shop. I can't say enough good things about their craftsmanship and customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a skilled and ethical repair shop for auto body work. After an accident in NYC I had my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee repaired at Exclusive Auto Collision in Ramsey. There was extensive damage to my entire right side crossing over two doors and a massive amount of trim. As this was a nearly brand new car I really wanted the job done right and the end result to be a "showroom quality" vehicle without any sign of damage. As if that wasn't a difficult enough situation my insurance company tried to "low ball" what they would pay and the amount of work needed. Excellent communication and customer service. You get the best parts of a "local small business" feel (friendly staff, positive attitude) but also the best parts of a large corporate shop (email updates whenever there was a change in the "status" of my car such as the arrival of a part). The final result was a repair that exceeded my best expectations. My car looks brand new (they even buffed out some scratches on the hood as a courtesy and without me asking) and you couldn't tell it was ever in an accident. This is a great shop that does great work. I would highly recommend. read more

Like some of the other reviewers here, I am also one of the 180+ individuals included in this frivolous and fraudulent lawsuit stemming from a job they did on my car almost 4 years ago. And what's driving my negative review here is the car was estimated 3 different times by the body shop and the insurance company and at no time was I ever told the amount owed was different from the last estimate. Had I been told - and had I also been told that I would owe anything in excess of what the insurance company paid, as I was not told this and I do not have a copy any "contract" that states this - I would have either disputed this point w/ the body shop or represented the body shop and taken it up w/ the insurance company to get the additional funds, as they committed to repairing my vehicle completely and to pay the body shop direct, so I should not be paying a penny for the repair since I was not at fault. But if getting paid the correct amount mattered so much to this business, why did this body shop release my car to me w/o being fully paid? Because they didn't care at the time. Or maybe the spoke to someone in the last year who made them think they should care and had the means to compile and file this frivolous and fraudulent lawsuit, which is why we are where we are today. So needless to day, I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone do business with this business. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We were recently served with a lawsuit for a repair done 4...that's right FOUR... years ago as the result of an accident that wasn't even our fault. Our car was hit while at a dead standstill by a woman who cut a corner. She was at fault. Her insurance paid for the repairs but apparently Exclusive felt they weren't paid enough and they came after us in suit. Mind you, they released the car to us after repair and payment from the woman's insurance company. Not once in all these years were we sent any information about this or a request for more money (which we would have fought). Not once. Until a lawsuit showed up on our doorstep. To be completely honest... the repairs were not even top quality and we waited MONTHS, literally MONTHS with daily phone calls and atrocious customer service, for parts. Add to that the fact that the body shop must have done something wrong in terms of the repairs because it showed up on Carfax as 2 separate accidents. It must have had something to do with the excessive amount of time they took to complete the repair. Bottom line... don't trust this shop for anything. The owner should be investigated for his questionable activities and poor workmanship. We are one of more than 163 people in this lawsuit. read more

Complete rip off the rate per hour used was way higher than competitors and quotes included repairing parts that weren't even damaged. Be sure to detail review the parts and hours spent in the quote because the devil is in the details. When compared to other body shops Quote given was so astronomically off the charts it wasn't even comparable. I hope the insurance companies audit this place. read more

Had my gt3 fixed here and came back better than the day I bought it. All they had to do was fix the bottom lip of the front splitter that peeled off and when I came to pick it up they detailed the car for free!! Save to say I will return with my other cars. read more

Horrible customer service, stay away. Can't believe they are listed as an Audi collision center. Estimator Jerry barely acknowledged me when I came in for an estimate. Then when I tried calling for a revision on the estimate, Jerry was rude & "too busy" to send me an update and told me he would call me back shortly. Still waiting on that phone call. Basic customer service etiquette nonexistent here, get your car fixed somewhere else. read more

I called to drop off my 2018 mercedez gle350 they said it would be fine. when I showed up to shop there was a customer who was complaining about the job they did on his minivan... I paid this no mind as this is a mercedez authorized repair shop. I figured they would be professionals, but when I walked in the office the manager in the back spoke to me with an attitude asking me if I had an appointment that they only take appointments. I called at 1045 AM and no one had mentioned anything about an appointment, the person on phone went as far as to tell me they would have Enterprise set up for me for a rental and I could drop of car today. When I stepped outside the office to show one of the employees the damage they dint notice my wife walked in to sit down. When I walked in my wife said don't leave car here the guys in the office where saying that they where going to take extra long with car, that who was I to think that it could get done in under two weeks. "Buyer beware" these people act like they are the only show intown. I took my car to mercedes to a better rated show in Nanuet next to Mercedes and they where far more professional than these clowns. I have filled out a complaint with mercedes as I feel this shop should be removed from their list of reputable repair shops. read more

Exclusive Auto Collision is a true gem in the auto body business. When you walk in you will be surrounded by many certifications such as Porsche and Audi which will give you great peace of mind knowing that your second biggest investment is in the right hands. I had my Honda Civic repaired here and I was beyond impressed. You will appreciate the work they do everyday when you see the final product and get back on the road. read more

Could not agree more with the comment below. In retrospect, I should have read the Yelp reviews prior to wasting one second of my time to drive here to get an estimate. I came to get an estimate on my car bumper, which was damaged by backing into a telephone pole. I had gone to a place already to get an estimate and thought I could get another one to see what my options were. I wish I remember the name of the person who 'helped' me but when I walked in, they did not seem overly busy. The gentleman came out to look at my car, told me flatly I needed to replace the bumper. I had been told by the previous estimate at another place that I could either buff/repaint OR replace. So I asked this guy to just explain why HE thought the bumper needed to be replaced because there's an obvious difference in price. To this he responded, "It just needs to be replaced". So I asked him what my options were (meaning, tell me what the effing price is to replace the bumper cash versus with insurance), and he responded, "There are no options. You just need to get it replaced." Thanks, I got you on the first time. Then he WALKED AWAY! I honestly thought nobody could be that rude so I figured he went into his office to look up what Hyundai bumpers cost to replace and draft up some kind of quote to figure in labor, etc. After about 3 mins waiting outside, I decided to wait in the office. I stood there and the man who talked to me, now sitting behind the desk, asked if he 'could help me'. Um, yeah, I was just waiting to figure out what I could do with my car, costs, etc. He's like, "Oh, well you didn't seem like you wanted to replace your bumper." Well, even if I HAD said something directly to the effect of "No way, I am not interested in replacing my bumper" (which I did not say), then why would he think it's appropriate for a grown man working in a SERVICE INDUSTRY to impolitely walk away without saying either "Have a good day" or "Good luck" or "Sorry we couldn't help you". Apes. Do yourself a favor and just avoid coming here. If they can't be bothered with helping you in a respectful manner becoming of their age and stature, then imagine what kind of obligation they feel to respect your car or giving you a good price on work. Never again and you shouldn't either. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! I took the hood off my car to have them paint. They had it for almost two months before I had to call and ask them to actually finish it. I called on a Monday and they said to pick it up "tomorrow night" so i was there the next day at 5;30 and they were closed. Then i went first thing Wednesday morning and they were just beginning to apply the primer when I pulled up! They have horrible communication skills not to mention the fact that when i finally picked up the hood on Thursday it looked like crap. They didn't even prep and or sand the hood, i know this because you could clearly read the words "ram air" through the paint because they didn't sand off the adhesive from past decals... not to mention the horrible orange peel marks covering it and the fact that they didn't even paint underneath. When i called to get it fixed, the manager, Jerry, said he would talk to the owner and get back to me. After waiting over a week i finally had to call them back and Jerry "lost" my number. That's funny because I remember filling out paperwork when i put down a deposit including my phone number email address and home address. So in other words, Jerry was too lazy or to oblivious to have the initiative to get my contact info. When i was on the phone he got upset once he realized i knew what i was talking about and hung up the phone! THIS WAS EASILY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANY TYPE OF AUTO SHOP AND THAT'S INCLUDING DEALERSHIPS! BEWARE AND DON'T EVER THINK ABOUT USING EXCLUSIVE AUTO BODY IN RAMSEY NJ read more

Horrible experience, they say they give free estimates, but than after they quote you half the price of your car to fix a fender bender and you ask for your car back they had you a bill for $3,000 with it all been for storing my car in a junk yard at a rate of $300 a day!! And other random item on the bill such as a $500 ADMIN fee and a $250 moving fee to move it, when I dropped the car OFF and PICKED it up. They could not explain the charges and just said i had to pay the bill if i wanted my car back, they also kept parts of my car and left my car in pieces. By far the BIGGEST CROOKS ive ever met in my life. AVOID at ALL COSTS TRUST ME!!!!! read more

After getting into an accident, my car had some very extensive damage. This was honestly one of the auto body shops nearby so I slowly drove my car and as soon as I got there they set me up with a rental car service because of how bad the damage was ( hard hit to the back drivers side wheel causing a ton of underlying damage to the car) I was worried because not everything had been settled with insurance yet and they assured me everything would be fine. Later that day, insurance sided with me and the other persons insurance would be paying the damage. Fast forward to about 8k in repairs, the insurance company that was paying did no want to pay for new parts for my 2017 leased Subaru forester. The owner of the shop fought for me and told me not to worry and that it was ridiculous that the insurance company would put used parts (from who knows where) on my less-than-2-year-old car. The owner seemed to care about my safety, my kids safety and I was told that the quote from the insurance would be handled and brand new parts would be put on my car. They worked hard on my car and they were always reassuring me that I would not have to pay more than what insurance was paying me to fix my car. AND I DIDNT. They were EXTREMELY ACCOMODATING and fought for my car and my safety. I would 100% go back there for any repairs. Thank you SO much exclusive! read more

Please pay attention to this review.... I was in an accident that was not my fault and brought my Mercedes to Exclusive Auto Collision for repairs. Even though the accident was not my fault I decided to go thru my own insurance Liberty Mutual but they tried thru falsified appraisals (jacking up the prices) to force me to take a take a Total Loss on my car. As a Certified Mercedes Repair Shop, Tony Lake, the owner of Exclusive Auto Collision, looked at my car personally and told me my car was definitely not a Total Loss. His appraisal was almost $7,000 cheaper than what the Liberty Mutual appraiser quoted. To say I was shocked was an understatement! Tony made several calls to Liberty Mutual to try to get this resolved for me and dispute the appraisal that was done by Liberty Mutual. To make a long story short, without Tony fighting for me I would have lost my car. Thank you so much Tony for your help with this! You are definitely the peoples champ! FYI...I will write a follow up review after the repairs on my car are done but I know my car is in the right place at Exclusive Auto Collision!- Craig W read more
