Stopped by for an estimate on June 2nd. Gentlemen at the front desk was very nice. He took all of my information and said I should have an estimate by Monday June 5th. On June 14th - still did not receive the e-mail estimate - I stopped by looking for the estimate. Once again, gentlemen at the front desk was helpful, went in the back and said that i would have the estimate in my e-mail Thursday June 15th. Today is June 22nd and still no estimate. Word to the wise. I have found over the years that when a companies customer service is not up to normal standards and you are misled more than once, the work from that company will most likely be sub-standard. Based on my experience with Ben's auto body - I would not recommend this establishment and ask that you save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else!! read more

My car was not properly aligned and they only fix one of my two broken struts. Ben himself handles the customers and it's a mess. The place looks like the ritz but you're treated like crap. He was more upset about the bad review than a dissatisfied customer. This has been the car repair from hell. As I sat waiting the second time for three hours, the amount of people returning with things that weren't fixed right the first time. read more

Poor communication. Won't return any calls. Owner seems more intent on getting a good review than actual work was done in a satisfactory job. read more

Took my 2016 Porsche Macan S to Bens Auto Body for repair. I evaluated them based on three category 1. Quality of Work : Fxxking shitty as job you gonna get ever! - Missing Paint Spot - Body parts were not aligned - Bubbles all over the new paint 2. Professionalism : The employers are so rude they don't know how to talk with customers period. Never return your phone calls or emails. Whenever I called them for check up, the guy name Chris always answered me in very rude way. They did not finish the work that they promised. The insurance company had to renew two times. 3. Cost : They charged me $12,500 to replace the front hood, front bumper, and left side rim. Because of their shitty work, I had to take it to other body shop. When I addressed the all the issues on my car on the day I picked up the car, they told me to find the better place to do better job. (What kind of bullshit customer service is that??) Do not ever ever take your car to this body shop. Porsche website appointed them as authorized body shop in NJ, but I already filed complaint to Porsche about their shitty ass work with photos. Authorized body shop my ass! read more

Car came out with more problems then went in!! Items stolen from glove department. These guys use to be good. But now they just take all the insurance companies money and do a half ass job Car went in ...front end collision. Came out....electrical issues...door locks wont open......and I suspect used parts I'll never go there again And I'm a reasonable person. I feel they straight up took advantage And Ben jr....has a huge attitude problem! Trust me Go somewhere else more reputable!!! read more

I took my Tesla to get fixed and not only was the paint color incorrect they also could not align car parts correctly and blamed both on Tesla and refused to fix it! Do not go here if you want your car fixed correctly or if you want people who are helpful and friendly! I'm driving around with a two toned expensive ass Tesla with a tail light that is not properly placed. I would give them negative stars if i could. read more

Took my pearl white mercedes here for body work. They replaced everything with original OEM parts. Repaired a broken taillight and fixed up scratched rear bumper. Also replaced a badly cracked windshield. When I got my car back, I could not even tell that it had work done to it, looked as if nothing happened! Very pleased with their customer service and skills. Highly recommend these guys to anyone who wants quality body work done. read more

Paid $900 to get a new bumper painted and it didn't turn out well. Should have been a simple job with new parts. Maybe they didn't prep correctly but the adhesion was very poor. The paint was peeling after only a couple months and they didn't even mask off the trim pieces correctly. Fitment back on the car was poor and had panels rubbing. Would not recommend. read more

Chris and his team did a "bang up" job repairing my Tesla! It looks better than the day I picked it up from the dealership and much cleaner. They took the extra time to give it a full detailing on pickup day. Keep up the great job guys! read more

Due to the last big storm we had a tree fell on my car and crushed the hood. My car is as good as new now and maybe even better than! Shout out to Ben's Auto Body for bringing my baby back to life! She's in pristine condition too, fixed and cleaned from top to bottom!! read more

Bens Auto Body - Body Shops Near Me - Haledon, New Jersey

DO NOT USE THIS BODY SHOP!!!! they lie and do a horrible job! They took 39 days to fix my car because they didn't care about the 30 day rental rule. Finally after 37 days they called me to pick up my car. When I arrived to pick up my car, not only was the bumper still partly hanging off, the paint job was horrendous and it was noticeably repainted. So I refused to take my Cadillac home, and demanded it fixed properly. When I came back to pick it up two days later, Ben the owner, not only did he call me crazy, he was rude and disrespectful. He ordered me to leave my rental car with him or he would not take care of the 9 remaining days of rental car coverage that it was costing me for their foul ups. So I left the rental car with him, and I received a call from Enterprise two weeks later that Ben refuses to pay for the rental as he promised and agreed. This in itself is bad business. Luckily for me, my insurance company Progressive, Ed, my adjuster came to the rescue, and handled the $542.52 that was owed to Enterprise by Ben. I want the world to know what scumbags this auto body shop is and how dishonest they are. Not only was my car fixed in a noticeable rush, despite the 39 days they had to fix it, it was done improperly with so many issues. DO NOT GOT HERE...... read more

I took my 2015 Audi A5 to Bens Auto body with damage along the entire length of the car. I had low expectations. They returned to me a beautifully repaired car. I am obsessive and I couldn't find a fault. They take pride in their work and are very fairly priced, especially for aluminum work. read more

Highly recommended! I've used Bens twice now, once after having my mirror knocked down while I was in class and once after someone drove into the passenger side of my car continuously while trying to switch lanes. My family member has used them for her car as well. They are professional, very accommodating, and do an exceptional job. It is a stressful experience to have your car damaged and repaired, and Bens does everything to make the process smooth, including working with the other drivers' carriers. read more

I highly recommend Ben's Auto Body. They have always done a great job on my Mercedes! Timely service and immaculate work.

I highly recommend this body shop! They did an AMAZING job on my Audi. My car got sideswiped so the damage was somewhat minor (rim damage and multiple scratches). My car looks the same way it did when I pulled out of the Audi dealership 3 years ago. I am so happy with the results! Chris and his staff were great and very efficient. read more

I had a bad experience here. Customer service couldn't be bothered to answer questions, return phone calls, or answer emails. I should have taken that as a sign to go elsewhere. Had 2 jobs done here, both were poorly done. I'm living with the poor body work but the brakes had to be totally redone. read more

Amazing service! I chose this place based on their reviews and the reviews were not wrong. I was really impressed, Bens Auto Body takes Pride in their work. My car was ready in just a few days and when I picked it up they took me around my car with enthusiasm showing me everything they have done. I am very happy I read the reviews and took my Lexus here. You guys are the best!!! A very happy customer. Will recommend you always... Thank You. read more

I was referred to this Auto Body Shop after I got into a bad accident breaking my tail light, and severely scratching the back bumper of my 2015 Hyundai sonata hybrid. I was a little nervous because it's my first car ( practically new), and I can't express how AWESOME a job Ben's Auto Body did. Chris helped me personally--wonderful, incredibly professional person--and he took genuine care of me and the car. It was like brand new-and at an incredibly AFFORDABLE Price. I even had a scratch from a previous accident that he included and took care of. Base line...I got my car back better then when I left it--Repaired (Only took a day), Cleaned, Waxed. Incredible customer service. These guys are the real deal. read more

Good work as I would expect and fairly quick after they got the car in. They actually allowed me to leave my car at the rental car facility where they picked it up and dropped it off as well which was a a great convenience. Two negatives were that they couldn't take my car in until a week after I called and all the change in my center console was gone after I got the car back. It wasn't much, maybe $2 worth, and I should have removed it before bringing the car in, but would have been nice to know they were trustworthy. read more

Chris, Giulian and the whole team at Bens fixed my 2016 BMW and did an amazing job. My car was fixed before the estimated timeframe and the work was awesome. Their customer service and professionalism were a 10 out of 10! I highly recommend Bens for any automotive needs read more
