Three types of people I find really hard to trust are lawyers, politicians, and mechanics. George is a mechanic, a really good one, and more importantly TRUSTWORTHY. I'm fairly new to the sport but he didnt treat me like an idiot, was extremely helpful, talked me out of alot of probably dumb shit i wanted to do to the bike, and all the advice the shop gave me was spot on. They dialed in my suspension (bike performs night and day) and put new tires on. They didnt try to upsell me on anything and actually (once again) talked me out of a few things. George and the staff at ESP are super nice, genuine, they love what they do, and it shows in their work. Its a bit of a drive for me to get to the shop but worth it 100%. If you're a POC I advise you not to come to this place. On entry, I was COMPLETELY ignored- the only person there, by the way. Finally, I asked for assistance- I asked specifically what I needed, was then recommended something else. In the middle of our conversation, the owner walked away from our conversation to take a phone call. Overhearing, the conversation the individual on the phone was asking for the EXACT same thing I needed and was given thorough, helpful advice. Unbelievable. Mind you, the owner never came back to our conversation. As I mentioned, only person at the location, not busy- did I look like I had no money? Was I rude in any way? Gaslighting at its finest. I did nothing wrong. They're either...let's call it, 'judgmental', read between the lines or they were having a bad day. What an utter disappointment. George and his crew are a rarity these days. They are skilled craftsmen with an exceptional customer service attitude. It's obvious that these guys love their jobs. Very clean and meticulous in how they approach their work. Be honest about your riding abilities, weight, and expectations and they will deliver an exceptional result. They also provide fine engine service for single cylinder dirtbikes. I had them tune the forks and shock for my KTM 950 Adventure. After much collaboration with me, George came up with an excellent tune. Though the big Adventure isn't a true "Dirtbike" he managed to find the sweet spot that makes for well handling street manners and very plush offroad ride. Fantastic! read more

I have been taking all my bikes to ESP, from a 125cc scooter, 250cc cruiser and 650cc naked. While they are a suspension/dirt bike shop, they do not discriminate. Every job they have done for me has been fast, high quality and reasonably priced. Everything from rewiring to chain and tire installs and re-tapping engine exhaust mounts has been done to great standards. They are always busy, so if you really need them, be patient. Its a testament to their practice that they almost never have the time to slot in anything on a whim. George is truly helpful and to the point. The shop was recommended by Scott's Performance. I have a Yamaha WR250R dual sport and had a blown front fork seal, which I was unaware of. Note: don't ride your bike with blown seals! The fork oil will get on the front brake pads and there's no brake left that will allow you to apply the correct amount of front/rear pressure, lest you need to modulate the front. Anyhow, not a good idea to lock the rear brakes and give a handful of front brakes in the dirt in a panic situation. It will usually lead to a spill. I can attest first hand - ouch. Fast forward; picked up my bike yesterday and drove back up to Cal City. Rode from my house to Jawbone Station (14 miles) and did a nice late afternoon ride, approx70 mile loop. Night and day difference between stock and the last time the bike had front fork service or factory setup. I was thinking of ditching the bike on Craigslist? The WR is a heavy, underrated bike, even at its best, hello Jenny Craig. I wish that would help. The worse thing is having a heavy bike that has poor suspension. :( Not the case anymore. The bike feels so much more composed, predictable, agile and safer, despite the heft, we're talking 300plus pounds of Japanese Steel. I can brake less and carry the speed greater over the crest and through the rutty stuff. I typically turn off the engine on the steeper downhills and let gravity do its thing, you have to love physics... I typically ride alone off-road, not so smart, so it's important to have a good bike that doesn't give you surprises, the rest is rider error. So George and his workers took care of the seemingly unimportant, the front forks. I have zero regrets about spending the money. I now am keeping the WR250, the bike is actually fun to ride now! Kudos George. Now I need to do something with the stock rear shocks, the fronts feel that good. read more

I brought in my Honda Magna 750 cruiser that was leaking fork oil on the right fork, and they found that it was missing the oil lock piece (bought the bike used and someone must have rebuilt the fork without putting this piece back in). ESP is awesome I have an older KTM green sticker 2-stroke . At most shops if you're not a pro rider or don't know all the latest lingo they treat you like a piece of s*** if you don't have a 2014 or better bike that they can bolt parts onto they hem and ha about how hard thw job is gonna be correct me if I'm wrong but all shops have an hourly rate that is the same for a 1916 motorcycle as it is for a 2016 motorcycle. My bike is a bit of a Frankenstein I thought my shocks were Marzocchi and George spotted them from inside the shop in the parking lot and called out that they were WP 43 s these guys know their s*** he set up my bike got a brand new coil custom-made rebuilt and adjusted the forks and race sag for my fat old ass. I got back into riding after a 15 year hiatus 2 years ago. After 2 years I got pretty good again but after I have the suspension redone I'm riding better than I have in 20 years and the difference riding my bike was night and day I couldn't be happier not to mention my bike was ready the day before he said it would be. read more

Just about no one else touches my KTM exc 350 f except for ESP. I travel from Ventura just to work with this shop. They took this bike that KTM struggled to make California legal and worked it into a solid desert bike that happens to be plated. They even took the time to advise me on which bike to purchase in the first place knowing that I was just getting back to riding after several years away.
