Called Excel around 6:15 tonight and by 10:00 our problem was solved. I can't speak highly enough of Adrian, the plumber who came out. He was thoughtful, courteous, meticulous, professional, focused on not only diagnosing and repairing the problem, but also discussing with me every step of the way. He's a truly dedicated customer service technician and expert. And Tanya, the dispatcher, also great. She called me twice before Adrian got here just to keep me informed, and he was here in less than 2 hours. If these 2 professionals are any indication of this company's commitment to excellence, they've just earned a new customer for life.... read more

Well, I believe this is my second review of Excel. Had an exterior sewer pipe collapse on Christmas Eve with 25 people at my home. Excel was able to fix the problem temporarily that evening. A few days later Uri came out, explained the problem (after viewing it with a camera...cheap, faulty plastic connection used - had work done 10 plus years ago by another plumber - which connected my PVC pipe to the original clay pipe close to the street), and gave me a quote. I had already talked to a few of my friends and knew the quote was reasonable. Having used Excel several times in the past (both at my home and my dad's home), I knew they would do a good job. His team came out the next day (permits and utility markings done early that morning), and Alexander and his pleasant team replaced the collapsed sewer line....very relieved!! I would not hesitate to use them. Thank you! read more

fast, affordable service! We used Excel Plumbing for an issue with our water heater leaking. The plumber (George) came quickly (within a few hours), talked through the problem and possible solutions and provided an estimate of the cost. The low end of the estimate was the service fee ($90), which is higher than some but is not automatically charged just for providing an estimate (see my other reviews...) Once I authorized him to start working, he had the problem diagnosed and fixed within 15-20 minutes, including cleaning up the excess water. George was professional, courteous and his work was high quality, including tightening up a bolt that the water heater installer had not tightened. We were very happy with Excel Plumbing and would highly recommend them! read more

Repaired my leaky shower quick and easy and were competitive on price. Thought I may have to get behind the wall to replace the valve body but they were able to replace the carriage no problem. Very helpful, accommodative, and efficient. read more

My management company called Excel out to deal with a clogged soil pipe. They came out at the end of the day which I thought was great as having an unusable toilet is difficult. I gave them my contact info and helped them get things figured out. When I left they were dealing with the unit owner whose toilet was affected. When I came back the next morning there was a literal piece of excrement left on top of the floor drain in the area of the basement where they accessed the clean out. At first I thought it might have backed up after they left but it was too large a piece to have come through the floor drain. Which means they cleaned it out of the stack and left it there! I was horrified and called the management company who called Excel who apparently couldn't send someone so the paid for our regular cleaning guy to come in and disinfect the area. I will never let anyone from Excel set foot on the property again. read more

Have used Excel several times in the last year, in each instance I have been Very happy with the results. The complete Staff from initial phone call (usually at inopportune moments) throughout end of project/repair have been Outstanding. Professional and immediate quality results, friendly Service and exceptional work. Honest quotes and friendly reliable work. Highly recommend to both Homeowners, Renters and Businesses alike. Very impressive company that has that "it" factor of wanting to help you in often stressful situations without taking advantage of you financially. I have used their Service on normal days during business hours and in late night early morning "Emergency" situations even on Holiday weekends. Have Never felt like I was price gouged and have Always been treated Respectfully and Professionally. Any situation Plumbing related they are OUTSTANDING!!! Huge Fan of their company. Do yourself a favor and utilize their services. read more

Quick response company. This company has helped me so many times already! Two times I had a few emergencies. They were able to be at my house & resolve my emergence issues. They also referred me to a good remediation company. I now call them all the time for all my plumbing needs. Thank you Excel! read more

Excel Plumbing earned my five star rating after they quickly replied to my request for service. I am confident that their quick reply is an example of their high quality plumbing work. Unfortunately, my girlfriend's brother-in-law is fixing our plumbing problem. I expect you will be happy you hired Excel Plumbing. Regards, Tom read more

Thanks for a job well done. Luke came in and looked at sink and faucet and saw where water was coming from. We discussed what type of faucet would serve my needs. Because I'm on a fixed income he suggested a Moen because it was similar to the one I had, and the cost was within my budget. He left then returned to install and he even put my cleaning supplies back under the sink! read more

I called to get a quote to replace a hot water heater and got a competitive price quoted to me over the phone followed by them showing up in person to inspect the condition of my current connections to my current water heater and finalize a firm quote and installation time. The price ended up matching the over the phone quote and the next day Luke and Luke arrived and replaced my water heater. They were fast, thorough and professional - would use again. read more

I did not end up using Excel but I was happy with their communication and the bid was a competitive rate. The Tech that showed up was thorough and respectful. Wore a mask and shoe coverings. I would recommend this company based on my experience. read more

Had to replace our toilet. Excel did the job and quickly. They also made recommendations on the kind of toilet we bought. They are very nice people that I wouldn't hesitate to call again. I highly recommend them. read more

Ronnie did a great job, came over to see what was going on with my sewer and possibly may found what the issue maybe but unsure yet but guided me to another dept within his company. Ronnie was very informative, helping, and knowledgeable in his craft. read more

we had a gas leak on our cooktop, Luke K did a great job repairing quickly and working around a cabinet obstruction.

They came quickly. The job was successfully completed. However, the cost was a little over the top for unclogging a drain with a chemical. I've had actual routing done with another company (who I would have used, but they couldn't come for a couple days) who charged me half the price of what I was charged by Excel. read more

Since buying my home I have been having a problem with not having enough hot water, I had numerous plumbing companies come out and all told me it was related to water heater (which was relatively new and I wasn't going to replace it!). Eventually Excel came out and determined that the lines were crossed inside the wall. They were able to quickly rectify the problem with minimum damage to the drywall and even had a contractor come out to patch up the wall at no extra charge. Their plumbers were always on time, clean, courteous, knowledgeable and fairly priced. I recommend Excel Plumbing to everyone I know, and will continue to use them myself. read more

Was told over the phone when I made my appointment that someone would be at our home between 9 am and 12 pm and would call when they were on their way. Okay, great, I've got some running around to do for work, I can just head home when they call. Receive a call and a voicemail at 9:15 that I don't check for 15 minutes as I'm driving. It's the dispatcher telling me my plumber is at my house now. I call back to see if they're still available and the very rude guy named Tom on the customer service line says "Well, you didn't call back so I had to tell him to leave." The lack of respect for my time as a (potential, now not at all) customer was astounding and I cancelled my appointment. I'll do business with some other company that respects that people don't always have time to wait around for them. read more

Quick, efficient and good price. We had a tub that would not drain, as it turns out there were marbles that got in there accidentally. Would have never figured this out without excel Plumbing. Thanks . I highly recommend read more

I had two experiences and they were both great. I got an estimate for a spiget which I approved. The plumber found a lot of things obstructing the direct path outside for the pipes. It took him a while longer than expected but he got the job done and he didn't increase his estimate even though it turned out to be much more challenging. Very happy with the work and effort put into completing the job. read more

Luke showed up on time, covered his feet, wore a mask and then proceeded to adjust what we thought was a broken shower head at no cost explaining patiently what he did and what we need to do going forward to make sure it works properly. He was a very nice guy who knew his work. We are new to the area and now Excel Plumbing is our definite go to for all things plumbing in our home. read more

I'm back again. I referred my mother to Excel Plumbing and once again they came through with exceptional work. Plumber's name is Anthony C. Very professional, explained everything that is needed and was fast. Excellent quality work with reasonable pricing.. I had Brian O. from Excel unclog my kitchen sink and the whole process went great--such a relief to have a sink again, ahh! Brian came when they said he would, diagnosed, got to work, fixed it, gave me some good advice on how to avoid similar problems in the future, and even explained what causes a situation like mine. I would use them again in a flash (hopefully I won't have to soon though). I called to make my appointment and that process went swimmingly as well. read more

Needed a replacement of my tankless water heater. Excel sent Luke within 24 hours. Received 3 different quotes and excel was the most reasonable with details including labor and materials. The install happened within a week. Luke was awesome! He is knowledgeable and efficient. He didn't give me a run around. He respected my home with booties and mask. He made sure that I understood the water heater the install and how to troubleshoot. Would absolutely recommend again. Ask for Luke! read more

Excel has been used by our condo management company, for issues in our building, so I gave them a call to try and schedule an appointment for a leaky bathtub. Although there is plenty of street parking on my block, I was told they needed a guaranteed parking spot or they wouldn't come out. What kind of bougie nonsense is that? read more

MAX from Excel Plumbing is a "Plumbing Professional-Expert" who is extremely knowledgeable, detailed and methodical! This is the first time I've used Excel Plumbing. Prior I've used DRF for 14. DRF installed an injector pump on the lower level and never sealed the lid. Gasses have been floating for years, however I never knew and thought it was my damn cat! NOT! Max came in and assessed the issue and rectified it immediately. That said, and due to his professionalism and being so knowledgeable, I'm going to schedule to have all 4 toilets, shut off valve, etc... all replaced. The BEST service. Dear Excel Plumbing Owner, Max did an outstanding professional job. I sure hope you take care of him how he took care of me regarding my plumbing issues. He is an absolute asset to your company. Thanks again! read more

These guys came out fast for an emergency frozen pipe burst. I thought cost was high, and they lowered it to my satisfaction

Needed a new toilet shut-off valve and flush valve. $455 to replace a water supply valve and flush valve in a toilet represents an enormous rip-off. The parts installed are worth less than $50 at retail and the actual labor was all of a few minutes. More time was spent trying to sell me a new toilet than actual time to do the repair. And I had to correct the installation of the flush valve so that the toilet properly flushes. My guess is that the price paid was around double the actual value of the time and materials plus profit. I am disgusted with Excel and would not recommend to anyone to use them, certainly not for a home plumbing repair. I sent a complaint by email but didn't hear back. On the plus side they arrived when they said they would. read more

I would recommend this plumbing company to anyone in need. They arrived promptly and were very efficient!

Lynden with Excel is our new go-to for any plumbing issues! He came out to check an increasingly-leaky shower, and was able to identify and explain the issue clearly and promptly. Unfortunately, we had not picked up all of the right parts and hardware to fix the problem, and he was willing to add me back into his busy schedule later in the week to come back and get things fixed up. Not only was he prompt, kind and courteous, but he was flexible around my working-from-home schedule and was very sweet with our new puppy. He also recommended a service provider (Chicago Water and Fire Restoration) to look into the water spot we noticed under where the shower is, and the direct referral got us a 5% discount with CWAFR! We will definitely be calling Excel Plumbing, and requesting Lynden, for any future plumbing issues. read more

Dan was AWESOME!! I'm one of those people that likes to be social with anyone coming by to help ME out by fixing an issue at my place, and Dan was super conversational, and precise, and professional. Excel Plumbing - Plumbing Near Me - Wheeling, Illinois

I woke up on Thursday of last week and realized that I had no hot water. After reading positives reviews on Yelp, I called Excel Plumbing. They said they would have somebody to my house by 10am to assess the situation, and Leon B. showed up right on time. He tried to re-start my hot water heater but when that didn't work he gave me a reasonable quote to replace it that afternoon. By 1:30pm Adrian and Vince arrived with my new hot water and we were operational by about 4pm. Leon was a pleasure to meet - - knowledgeable and friendly. Likewise, Adrian and Vince were hardworking, professional and a pleasure to meet. The next day I got a call from Maureen at Excel to make sure everything was still working ok. I was very impressed by Excel Plumbing. They are big enough that they have the staff and inventory to handle an emergency, but small enough to offer a personal touch. A very positive experience and the next time I need plumbing help I will definitely call Excel Plumbing read more

I really appreciated Excel's quick service and they immediately fixed the issue we had with our toilet and underground pipe issue. They also followed up with a call a few days later to make sure everything was working. It was a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and I think overall, it was a great job. They also came when they said they would. I would use Excel again. read more

Been putting off a plumbing issue for over a year because I hate dealing with stuff I don't understand. One of the two sinks in my kitchen didn't drain. So I just always used the other one. Excel quoted me $250 for what they thought was wrong. Luke came out the next day exactly on time. Was able to fix the issue in less than an hour. Explained what was going on. How to prevent it from happening again. Best news, it cost only $95 because the problem wasn't as big as they thought. Not many plumbers that would have been honest about something I had no idea about!!! Will definitely hire them again. Although hopefully I won't have any plumbing issues soon! read more
