It all started back in 2011 when on the hunt for a "real job" after graduating college in 2010. I…read morewas ready to rid the late nights and smell of beer from my clothes from working in restaurants, and set foot into a career. Enter JKent. After being referred here from a friend, I was blown away by the following things: STAFF: Upon entering their offices (which are on the corner of 5th and Downing), I was greeted by a friendly face who told me how the typical process works in signing up with the agency. Fill out paperwork, enter various resume history into database, meet with a recruiter and wait for the opportunities to come in! After the first half was completed, I met with Karen - the Vice President. She was friendly, intelligent and is well versed in this industry. Karen asked me a few routine questions - career desires, job aspects, and salary before shaking my hand and saying she'd be in touch! COMMUNICATION: After about a week without hearing a word, I followed up with Karen, who promptly returned my email saying she had a potential opportunity for me. Karen and her colleagues constantly reached out to me throughout various job placements to ensure I was happy and offered insight on the job market and potential for growth. She was easily reachable and made the process seamless. She and her team continue to be this way - even know! JOB PLACEMENTS: Such a variety - based on your job history, salary expectations, location and duties! Because I solely wanted my foot in the door, I hopped on every opportunity that came my way - including a product tester! ha! Ultimately, I landed two great jobs, one of which I am still with today! Because the majority of job placements are temp-to-hire, I was able to see if the company was a "good fit" for me, as well as for them, which made for a better experience. EMPOWERMENT: JKent Staffing was started by a passionate woman, who continues uphold her core values to this day - and inspire other women! In joining the agency, I felt the recruiters and staff were so encouraging and helpful! As hard as finding the right job can be, Jkent made it easy and interesting!!

Aimhire found me a temporary position, which I accepted, with the understanding that the position was nearby and would last approximately 3 months or more. Not only was the position an hour away, but it only lasted 6 days. When I discussed the issue with the recruiter she didn't seem to care, she just responded saying that now I had something to put on my resume. How do you put a job where you spent 6 days on a resume??? Additionally, I had to significantly cut back on hours at my other job to take this opportunity. I was not able to get all of my shifts back after my temp job was over. Through this process Aimhire cost me both time and money; I would never recommend this agency to anyone. My word of advice to anyone who uses this company, be careful and have a backup plan! Aimhire will do what it takes to staff a position but at the cost of its employees.
