I applied for a position Lakeshore Talent had available over a week ago. I was told by a recruiter and Account Manager that I would be interviewing with the company. After waiting a week, I was called and told "The company is not doing anymore interviews and is excited about the other candidates. They want to offer it to one of them." No apology for wasting my time, getting my hopes up, or general care. I could see if this was a cancelled phone screen, but you don't tell someone you will get an interview and not. I have been in recruiting for over 5 years and this is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. This is a huge no-no and red flag. I would not recommend them. I was given false hope and this made the two different people I spoke with and the company look extremely disgraceful. read more

After relocating to Colorado this summer for the the wrong job, I found myself unemployed and 1/2 way across the country from my networking support system. So I did the usual round of Indeed.com, Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, etc... Natalie responded to my resume one day after I sent it to her. This may not sound like a big deal, but after months of feeling as though I've been sending my resumes to email addresses connected to black holes, her call was really nice. She asked me to come in the next day for an interview. The office in the DTC has free parking and is beautifully decorated. When you walk into a new place and your asking someone you don't know to help you find your dream job, it's really comforting when the front desk staff smiles, offers you a drink, and complements your shoes. Natalie met me in the waiting area and showed me to a cozy, professional meeting room. Natalie possesses the innate ability to put anyone at ease. During our interview I felt more like I was meeting with an old friend rather than trying to sell myself to an uninterested corporate employee. Within an hour of leaving the office Natalie sent me an email thanking me for meeting with her and the status of my application. A few days later I met with Melissa who thoroughly prepped me for the high quality job interview Lakeshore was sending me out to the next business day. The hour I spent with Melissa was probably one of the most important hours I've ever spent in my career. She taught me interview tips that took my interview skills from good to amazing. Melissa followed up with me after the interview to let me know the results. My entire experience with Lakeshore was very positive, friendly, and extremely professional. I worked for Lakeshore Staffing, working just four times and using them as a temp agency to get some extra money while looking for permanent work. After finding a permanent part-time position, I filed my separation with them. Shortly after, I received an appeal, saying they wanted to prohibit me from receiving unemployment from them. Since I worked only 4 times for Lakeshore, I wasn't entitled to unemployment (per my unemployment form from the state.) To that end, I had no intention of filing for unemployment from Lakeshore. But they filed the appeal anyway, which will prohibit me from getting any monies from my original place of employment for approximately 10 weeks. I am thrilled to have a new position which I found on my own. I wish I had never worked at Lakeshore at all and I don't recommend that anyone use their services. read more

Great experience the first day. I was able to get a job the first week, but it was temporary work. They are very misleading and have poor communication all around. I liked Rowena, but someone (I decided to be courteous and deleted her name) has been a nightmare to deal with and I would not use their service again. read more

I would 100% recommend this staffing agency over others I've used in the past. They've been wonderful from the beginning from listening to what I'm looking for in a new job to helping me prep for the interview. They placed me in a new job that I am SO happy in within the first week. Anytime I've had questions, they've been quick to respond and are always happy to help. Another plus is that while you're on their payroll, you are paid every week, so it's easy to budget. Lakeshore is a very unprofessional Employment Agency. An agent contacted me about a job that I very interested in. After speaking with her about the job position she discovered she sent me the wrong job posting. She then tried forcing me to interview with a smaller company that I wasn't interested in working for.
