I was about to let my 2 year old and 3 year old outside to play when I noticed a man (Aaron Wedemeyer - TREC Professional Inspector #26252) in my yard looking at electrical equipment. He had bypassed a secured gate to get onto the property, didn't have the access code, and never contacted me for permission. After confirming he was not authorized to be on the property, I asked him to leave. Instead, he chose to remain on the property while attempting to obtain authorization to inspect a neighboring unit. As a parent and homeowner, it's unsettling to find a stranger on your property, especially when young children are about to head outside. Access controls and property boundaries exist for a reason. I'd expect a professional inspector to coordinate access and obtain permission before entering a secured property, not enter first and ask questions later (especially in Texas).

Interior, exterior... everything was covered including rooftops. They used tools to measure the ventilation and insulation inside the home, and found all the small imperfections you and I probably would never notice early into our home ownership. You'll probably find out about them later on, though and that would be bad on your end because fixing it at that point may be your liability. You need to find all those little problems in the nooks and crannies now so that they can be resolved before you move into your new home. Jim and Shauna gave us that peace of mind, knowing we got a great checklist of things that needed to be looked at before we were comfortable spending that kind of money on a new home. So I received multiple quotes from various foundation repair companies in and around the Austin area and chose to go with Armadillo Foundation Repair. One company just never called me back and they were a reputable company. Others were quoting me way more than I expected, but Armadillos quote was very fair and he gave me two different options. We took a year from originally getting the quotes to booking the job as me and my husband wanted to get our finances in order before we took on a loan for such a large home improvement project. We chose this company because of their pricing and really great customer service. I'm the type of person who likes to asks a million of questions before I make a decision and John was very polite and thorough with his answers. When it came down to getting the work done, the crew that came out for the job were very polite and cleaned up everything in the end.The project took slightly longer than anticipated but John kept us updated along the way. He did mention before starting that since the house was so unleveled that there make be some cracking or tile lifting. This did occur so make sure you plan for this in case your house does this too. John also informed us that we actually needed less piers than he initially thought and so we decided to have our shed leveled too and it actually brought our overall price down because we were still less on piers than initially quoted for. If he hadn't even mentioned this then I wouldn't have known, but I appreciate his honesty and that's what make s a really great company and why I'd highly recommend this company. It's been a few months now since the work has been done and it's so nice to not step on a slopped floor and even nicer to be able to lock my front door and to not see a large gap above it. They also said they would do a complete system test to make sure to catch all additional issues. I ran the system for the first time today - five days after they left - and I noticed two additional leeks that they did not see or fix. After calling, I was told that I would be responsible for paying for them to come back out and make the repairs (at the cost of 165 an hour). The person I spoke to on the phone was unhelpful and seemed uninterested in making it right. I also received their invoice today and was charged for an install that I was not asked about nor did I authorize. Will definitely go with a different company for any company in the future.

I had my roof done by WDR in 2021 and honestly everything during the install was fantastic. They…read morewere quick, at one point it was going to rain mid-way through the install so they pulled out all the stops and they got my roof done ahead of schedule before it rained. Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! I've never found a company that is this helpful or this responsive.
