I had my first MRI done at Excel Imaging Center and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They took the time to explain the entire process to me in detail before starting, which really helped ease my nerves since it was my first MRI. The technologist checked in with me throughout the exam, made sure I was comfortable, and explained what to expect at each step instead of rushing through it. The office was clean, organized, and ran on time, which I really appreciated. You can tell the staff knows what they're doing and actually cares about patient comfort, not just getting people in and out. My MRI report was sent to me less than 24 hours after my exam and I walked out with a CD. Kids running around uncontrollably. I should have known that I was in the wrong place when one of their employees tried to sweep up spilled water with a broom. Went in for an MRI on my knee. Was seen 45 minutes late from my scheduled appointment. Machine broke during test. Was stoped once, test continued. Stopped again with a minute remaining. An employee came in after a ten minute wait. Was then asked to repeat the procedure. That the machine "overheated" who knows. Was then asked to reschedule. Avoid this place like the plaque. Two hour waste of time. Have had a headache ever since. AVOID EXCEL IMAGING! read more

The facility is nice, super clean and colorfully quaint with a super friendly staff, but they are not suited to accommodate those who are unable to lie on their stomach in the "Superman Pose," like me who has Frozen Shoulders - both are "frozen." Had I known that, I would not have made the appointment and got myself into a pickle; now racing around to find an upright MRI and get a doctor's note for my employer. They DO move very quickly to get you in and out ASAP! So, be prepared: 1) Try to wear clothing that has zero metal on/in it, not even teeny grommets (e.g. leggings and sports bra) If not, you will need to wear a gown(s). 2) All your belongings will be placed into a locker. BTW - I needed 2 MRI's, one for each wrist. Cash price was $400 for each (plus tax, CD and email of results INCLUDED). And if you're military, that price might even be lower! read more

writing this review even if we cancelled our appointment, to commend the effort and kindness Tiny gave us. We were desperately trying to find an emergency MRI that would see my boss on Saturday. Tiny, who was given the backstory (accident, needing MRI on right shoulder due to severe pain etc etc), went beyond and spoke to their radiologist get us booked on Sat AM. Fortunately for my boss (unfortunately for this center) she got called to come in same day by her doctor's referred imaging center as they had a cancellation. While we had not gone to this clinic, I will now keep them in our contact list coz we had a good experience just getting fitted in on a Friday after lunch for a Saturday appointment and it meant a lot that that we felt empathy and care for my boss' recovery. Thus this review. also we were going to pay out of pocket and their rate was fair. just good all around. thanks tiny! read more

This place has a horrible system for appointments. My husband and I both had appointments that were back to back for an MRI at 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM. We arrived at ~2:15 PM and the man who had his appointment scheduled at 2 PM came late. He didn't arrive until ~2:25 PM. They still took him in after he signed the forms. So he was seen at my appointment time (2:30 PM) and they pushed me and my husband's appointments back. However, we had another appointment somewhere else scheduled afterwards. The front desk tried to spin it and said THEY were being accommodating and would reschedule mine and my husband's appointments for another time. I was incredibly annoyed. What they should have done was cancel the man who came almost 30 mins late, instead of pushing everyone's appointments back. I was able to still do my MRI but wasn't seen until 330 PM and didn't finish until 4:30 PM. So we had to reschedule my husbands appointment to another day. It was highly inconvenient. I work in a therapy outpatient clinic, and anytime our clients come more than 15 mins late, we cancel their sessions and see the rest of our clients at their scheduled time. It honestly does not make sense to push everyone's session back. The whole MRI appointment takes almost an hour. I don't understand why they would schedule the MRI appointments every 30 minutes if the whole process takes longer. I would never come here again. Worst possible place for a medical office. They do not know what they are doing. Got there 15 min before appointment. Was told just a few minutes since someone else was being helped. Then I get a run around saying they made a schedule error saying they didn't schedule enough time. How is that my problem and plus this was scheduled 1 month ago. They even confirmed days before, they should have checked it. Just cuz it's inconvenient for them they turned me away. Find another place!!!! read more

I was having to the WORST experience with my medical group until Excel Imaging came to the rescue! Simple things like making an appointment and relaying your insurance information...you'd think they should be easy tasks, right?! Well you and i both know it depends on who you are dealing with. The staff at Excel took my call after hours AND the ultrasound technician called me to affirm all details. I was WOWED by their promptness and courtesy. They booked me at MY earliest convenience and performed the screening smoothly! Very rude to their staff members. I have been here on multiple occasions and they seem to single out one staff member over the others. Very noticeable and needs to be addressed. I initially decided to go to this MRI facility because when I called in, the lady was very nice and patient in answering all of my questions. My main concern was the clarity of the actual images and if my surgeon can clearly see the MRI. I've had cases in the past where my MRI scans come back blurry. This place uses an enclosed tube MRI machine which is the best one. DO NOT ever go take an MRI that has an open design. Those ones will definitely mess up the images due to dust or particles in the air that will make the images difficult to read. read more
