Jenna has been teaching our daughter since she was 3 years old. We have been working with her for a…read moreyear and look forward to continuing to work with her as she has become like family to us. We debated a classroom setting vs 1:1 training - Jenna spent the time to explain the pros and cons of both and gave a very candid and clear explanation of her teaching style and structure. We really resonated with her teaching approach - especially with younger ages - to connect each lesson with the context of that week or day rather than following a rigid curriculum that fosters more memorization rather than comprehension. Keeping a toddler's attention for long periods can obviously be difficult at times - but Jenna was very patient and made sure to switch up the activity to keep interest levels high as much as possible (including incorporating fun crafts, singing videos, etc.). We found learning is optimized when one or more of the parents are also actively involved and both parents learned some basic Chinese in the process as well! We value our relationship with Jenna - not only is she a great educator, but she is also a kind and empathetic human being that we have come to trust and consider part of our family.
