Love this little food joint in the Durham Food Hall, especially the Pork Belly Crunch Wrap on Tuesdays -- it's so crunchy and juicy! The service is quick, and if you come when they have live music, you can enjoy a free concert while you eat.

I got one of the crunchwraps, and the person I was with got a burrito. We both enjoyed it! Mine was a little bit on the greasy side but that's probably because I ordered the pork belly. Would definitely go back!

My friend and I had dinner here on a Tuesday evening. The worker who took our order and served us was so friendly and our food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The chicken burrito I ordered was pretty good and I especially liked that it had plantains since they added a fun/different texture. I ordered mine without cheese and sour cream (no dairy for me) and thought it was just a bit dry / could've used some sauce, but that might have been due to the lack of cheese/sour cream. Next time I'll ask for extra sauce / avocado to make up for it!

Ex-Voto We decided to go to the Durham Farmer's Market saturday morning (my favorite farmer's market around this area!), which is right by the Durham Food Hall. We were so excited to try the "infamous 1 pound" crunchwraps from Ex-Voto, which is inside the Durham Food Hall. The service was prompt - We waited only about 10 minutes and our name was announced over their speaker. The actual food stand was adorable and had some fun decorations! We got there right at 10am when they open on Saturdays and ordered at the counter. I got the chorizo crunchwrap, my husband got the beef barbacoa crunchwrap, and sides of fire-roasted salsa, chipotle sour cream, and house hot sauce. The chorizo crunchwrap was beautifully greasy and spicy (as you'd expect and hope for with chorizo ) and the chipotle sour cream added that creaminess and helped cool off the spice. The beef barbacoa crunchwrap was less spicy - the barbacoa was so juicy and the pickled onions here added a lovely acidity and sweetness. We added some house hot sauce and chipotle sour cream to this which added that creaminess and spiciness. These crunchwraps are famous for a reason! We will definitely be back for more. *Chorizo Crunchwrap: spiced pork sausage, queso dip, pickled jalapeños, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, & chipotle crema; sealed w/ grilled hoop cheese *Beef Barbacoa Crunchwrap: braised beef, queso dip, pickled jalapeños and onions, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, & avocado salsa; sealed w/ grilled hoop cheese *Fire-Roasted Salsa *House Hot Sauce *Chipotle Sour Cream

Located in the Durham Food Hall & home to the 1lb Crunchwrap! We got the chori-pollo Crunchwrap (Mexican chorizo, roasted chicken, pickled red onion, spicy queso, shredded romaine, pico de gallo, salsa, and a yellow corn tostada in a flour tortilla and cheese). Not mind-blowing to me but it was tasty and I appreciated all the fillings and flavors. We got the avocado salsa added and it was good, 60 cents extra. Ambiance is good, service was fast. 7/10 would recommend!

Ex voto has been my favorite spot for a crunch wrap since 2021. And 3 years later they never disappoint. The chorizo crunch wrap makes taco bell look like a joke. The food is fantastic, service is great and they are super clean. There are other spots in the food hall here but none compare. Ex Voto for life

We got the holy trinity (queso, guac and salsa) for $20. It came with two bags of chips and three large containers. The queso was fabulous. the guacamole needed something like lime/salt- it wasn't like horrible but it was quite mediocre. The salsa on the other hand just tasted like chunky water. absolutely no flavor whatsoever. i wish they had an option for smaller portions as well especially due to the price. it came out really quickly which was a plus. Don't waste your money on anything other than the queso.

We were in Durham for the day and decided to visit the Durham Food Hall since there was a lot a variety and let's be honest, who doesn't love a food hall? The vibe alone is worth it! After perusing all the choices, we happily settled on Ex-Voto after having checked out their menu. And I'm so glad that we did! The service was top notch and I couldn't pass up a crunchwrap! They had me at cheesy crust and this pocket of joy was amazing!! The beef was cooked perfectly and it hit every possible craving you ever had. Their green salsa was out of this world too! And I sopped up my crunch wrap in it too! Can't wait to visit again!

Great choice in food hall in Durham ! My husband got a bowl. He said it was super fresh, and delicious. A little bit of a wait- but it was a weekend at lunchtime! Love that they give you real silverware and glasses to drink from. Classy food hall!!

My friend and I visited Durham food hall on a weekday evening. The ambiance was very dim and empty inside the hall. There weren't many customers when we arrived, but we were luckily able to order right away. I ordered the beef barbacoa Crunchwrap which was delicious! I loved the crusted cheese on the outside and the strong flavors of the wrap. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Crunchwrap supreme but BETTER. Ex-Voto made all my Crunchwrap dreams come true with this one. I'd heard great things but finally got the chance to try it myself when we visited the Durham Food Hall. They have various flavors and ingredients but I went with their classic which had spicy chorizo, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and their homemade sauce all wrap up in a tortilla, grilled on the flattop and topped with crispy crunchy melty cheese. This was their mini version which was perfect for a quick snack. Their large version is a behemoth and both are such a great value for the price! The owners are creative and kind so you feel great supporting such a neat small business!

Went to Ex Voto for a late lunch today and from the experience I had about a year ago to today a lot has changed and not in a good way. First, the service was very lackluster with the staff not being very warming and kind. I asked about their tacos, as they were around a year ago, but unfortunately I was told with a little jab that they are no longer on the menu. So, I decided after reviewing their menu to get the seven layer bowl. The bowl comes with a heaping amount of rice, beans, guacamole, Pico de gallo, and cheese--wow, so much food! Unfortunately the quality just was not there. It had an odd after taste that I did not enjoy and it was a little on the salty side. I couldn't finish my food and after spending $17 it made me very sad that I will now have to spend more money to get full. Three stars for the amount of food you receive for what you pay. You definitely get two or three meals out of your leftovers. But, the quality is not there. Also, they put an automatic charge for a living wage for their staff, which I found to be awesome!

    Chicken Crunchwrap

I ordered a chicken crunchwrap and it was very good. My husband (vegetarian) however ordered a vegetarian burrito and was served a chicken plantain burrito. After one bite he realized there was chicken in his mouth and spit it out and went to the counter to correct the issue. And then he was gaslit about his own order telling him "no, you ordered the chicken plantain". They ended up remaking it and we had a nice time after, DFH was very fun and lively. Also I am not anti-tipping, but they did include the 10% "you pay my employees so I don't have to" charge up front which was fine but then felt very icky given the way the burrito mix up was handled Would likely go back if I was at DFH but will be double, triple checking my receipt next time

Yummmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!…read more This food is so good. I ordered on-line and picked it up at the Durham Farmers Market. The food was all frozen which was great for packing up and taking home to Buffalo. I made the enchiladas the same day and the rest came home with me. The squash and poblano enchiladas were amazing. There're smothered in a creamy cashew based white sauce and stuff with seasoned saucy butternut squash, chopped poblanos, and navy beans. They were excellent and my non-vegan sister who has very high flavor standards thought so as well. The love of my life, who can be picky at times, tasted them as well and thought they were good. When I got back home I tried the pastel de yuca stuffed with black beans and rice. I put it in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 300 degrees and it was perfect. The instructions were for oven or microwave, but I think I made the right choice. It was big and tasty though I did steal some of the slaw that goes with the papusas for a little crunch and brightness. I also got tamales and the aforementioned papusas, but I they're still in the freezer. HIGHLY recommend. You can get it hot at the farmers market but if you want 100 things like I did, order ahead and either get it delivered for $5 or choose a pick-up site.

The best pandemic take-out/delivery, plant-based, latin food ever…read more I've always been a fan of Silvana's food since even back in the day when it was just a farmer's market hidden gem (I guess it still kinda is). Not sure why I took so long to write a review, but I think this pandemic reminded me why her food is so good: her food is highly affordable, highly nutritious, freezes very well, and most of all it's DELICIOUS. For people who need suggestions or are just starting out on Latin plant-based food, I think this is a good selection to start with: Taco Kit: Super delicious and easy to put together. The key is warming up a tortilla properly (don't eat with cold tortillas!). The salsa is sooo good and I think the barbacoa filling would delight even meat lovers. Mushrooms & Kale Polenta Lasagna: The best. This is like the dish you bring to a party and 1 year later people will still be talking about it. Tamales: They are amazing. The fillings are great, but sriracha is my personal fav. The masa surrounding the fillings is flavorful (sometimes I like to sprinkle extra salt on mine). Also, tamales made with banana leaves aren't the easiest thing to find. Roasted plantains: Simple and delicious! Sometimes other places make this and they cook it to where it almost becomes mush. This has body to it. You can also torch this and caramelize the sugars more. YUM! Yucca Gnocchi with lemon cauliflower sauce: I've always been a fan of this dish. So delicious. What's super cool is that yucca has a lower glycemic index than potato, so this is perfect for gnocchi lovers who want to cut down on potatoes. Enjoy! [written while eating a tamale]
