If I could give them a zero, trust me - I would…read more The store personnel are rude and unhelpful. I purchased an item that needed to be unlocked (understandable). As people in Home Depot walked by I asked for help - they either said it wasn't their area or said they didn't know the combination. I got a person's attention that was working near the self checkout. She started to help me and a woman employee that was bs'ing with another employee stopped her and told her to page "hardware" - I waited another 10 minutes and finally went to that woman and asked her if she was going to help. Why I am writing this - on the way to the store my GPS said they were rated 2.7 (I didn't even know people wrote Yelp reviews on Home Depot). So I mentioned to the woman "I now see why you are rated low on Yelp." Her response - not me! I am not rated low I have been here 20 years. If Home Depot employs this woman for 20 years, it's obvious why they are a 2.7 on Yelp!.

I'm not sure who planned the layout of this particular store, but it makes very little sense to me. For instance, why would blue Loctite, used on screws, be eight aisles away in the middle of the paint department, instead of next to the screws? The people in different departments always offer to help, and actually are quite helpful when you engage them. I'll never forget the guy who shamed me in to fixing my leaky outdoor faucet when I came in looking for a cap to "winterize" it (read: prevent a massive icicle from forming on the side of my house... again...). I'd be lying if I said he wasn't right. More often than not, they have everything I've come for, which is pretty nice. They've never given me a hard time about returning things, and with the Lowe's credit card, you get 5% back on everything. Since their prices are as good or better than many places (e.g. bottled water, fertilizer, salt for water softeners, some cleaning products), I've found that shifting some purchases over to Lowe's is a nice way to maximize savings.

What I DON'T think is fair is that ABC Warehouse charges 39.99 for delivery when every other place I looked into offers free delivery. Bonus tip: Kurt Bair was our salesperson and if you enjoy the freebies they usually give you (on one occasion we were given a nice roasting pan, another gift was a set of dishware and glasses and another time a very nice DVD collection) then choose a DIFFERENT salesperson. He gave us a set of plastic spoons with a value of $2.88.

Within 2 weeks it started warping and creaking, The installers tried to repair it by firing tons of unsightly nails into it. It got worse. The installers eventually concluded that the flooring material was defective and would report this to LL Flooring. Then there was a journey of stalling, passing between departments, sending videos, snapshots of my nest showing that I never went over 50% humidity for a whole year. etc. etc. no real review of the data I sent occurred, just a standard answer " it must be the humidity" I proved it wasn't. I am about sue the company when they went chapter 11 in August 2024. This allows the company to downsize to 90 out of 300 stores. But also, not pay their creditors and screw all customers out of warranty. The company will still be the same after chapter 11, my advice, stay will clear of this company. Research them, they have a history of not honoring their warranties.

Under no circumstances did these three outstanding employees twist my arm, expose my secret identity as the Big Fat Man at Christmas time nor beg me to give them a decent report to suck up to their Boss. When I walked into Ferguson, I knew I was in plumbing Heaven. Kevin jumped at the chance after looking at my photo to solve my plumbing dilemma. With Paul and Ken working as a harmonious team, they tried many plumbing directions to problem solve and actually come up with a perfect viable solution. They convinced me happily that my original request was difficult to solve with braided water lines and connectors. But my good faith in Kevin and the others allowed me to take a second look and agree to their ideas and by golly, it worked. The shut off valves I needed in place would truly work.
