I just moved to The Colony and my wife had a minor accident. Not knowing area well, I chose this body shop to get repair done. I filed a claim through Farmers and their initial estimate was around $1,000 + $500 deductible. To make a long story short I paid $1100 + $500 deductible out of my pocket. Avoid Ewing Body Shop in Plano I brought my beautiful Mercedes CLS 400 to Ewing Body Shop in Plano after a minor rear-end incident--a broken taillight and a small dent in the trunk. As first owners and longtime Mercedes-Benz of Plano customers for over 20 years, we expected professionalism and transparency. Instead, the experience was frustrating, costly, and deeply disappointing. After dropping off the vehicle, communication was virtually nonexistent. It took 10 days for their representative, Don, to coordinate with the insurance adjuster. On the 11th day, I received a call--not from Ewing, but from the insurance company--informing me that the car had been deemed a total loss and needed to be towed immediately. I was shocked to learn that Ewing had been charging over $150 per day in storage fees without ever notifying me. Even more troubling, no one from Ewing contacted me about their inflated $13,500 estimate--the basis for the total loss decision. I was never given the chance to seek a second opinion. By the time I found out, my vehicle's title had already been marked as salvaged. When I attempted to retrieve the car, I was told I owed $1,850 in storage fees. The vehicle was returned to me partially disassembled and left outside in the open during poor weather, with no protection. I tried to escalate the issue to Don's manager and even contacted the company's director. Neither responded. This level of indifference shows a clear disregard for accountability and customer property. Ultimately, the insurance company covered the storage fees and gave me the option to retain the car. I took it to a reputable independent body shop, where it was fully repaired for $2,400. The car looks and drives like new. The difference in service and ethics was night and day. Ewing Body Shop seems far more focused on maximizing insurance payouts than providing fair, honest, and transparent service. I strongly urge others--especially loyal Mercedes-Benz clients--to think twice before trusting them with your vehicle. read more

I was in a small accident and needed to have my Mercedes 250 front bumper repaired along with a few other parts. I took it to the dealership body shop on April 8-9, and as of today I still have NO car, May 9th. My estimator/rep. has expressed NO sense of urgency and is extremely laxadaysical and has the personality of a burnt natch stick! I've been given 3-4 dates and still Not ready! My insurance is not happy as well, as I've exhausted ALL car rental monit's allocated per claim! I told him I was NOT paying out of pocket and he's going to management to see if they'll pay the extra car rental fees. I had the worst experience at Ewing. This place does not respect women. Ben, Dan and another guy all tried to bulldoze and dominate me. Neither one of them were helpful, they wanted to talk over me and disrespect my boundarie. Their job is to repair your vehicle and coordinate with your insurance. They tried to bully me. Took my Brabus 600 in for front end repair of a carbon fiber lip. They took forever getting the part to replace. I had to organized the new part because they finally reached out and told me they didn't know who to talk to. Fast forward a month and they're holding my car hostage (Will not release it to me) because they marked up the price of the part THEY DO NOT PRODUCE 55%. I went in and raised hell and had that cut in half and paid my $1000 deductible to get my car back. Upon leaving I realized my car was wayyyyyy down on power. I made this known by calling Dean Barrett. Dean is a very passive aggressive guy and 8/10 times won't answer the phone or call you back, but if you call the front desk he's always available.....weird (CRAP SERVICE) Dean said they didn't do anything to my tune.....but shows a pre and post scan that say different. I took my car to another shop to have the tune reinstalled and found that someone in Ewings shop stole a after market transmission pan and in doing so replaced it with OEM Brand new Mercedes pan and pinched the gasket which leads to leaks. I had to play for a transmission service onto of the tune. My bill for their thievery and dohonesty was an additional $3900 dollars I showed back up to Ewing and spoke with Ed Cain. He reassured me that "nothing like this could ever happen there". But as soon as I showed him the pictures of the brand new parts on my car and then he called my shop he said he would start an investigation. A week later I showed uo due to no communication only for Ed to tell me that there was nothing he could do. They will not reimburse me for what they messed up and stole. My insurance deductible was $1000 My additional repair bill was $3900 The parts stolen were another $926 I was supposed to pay $1000 and be done Instead I paid $5826 NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE THEIVES. Dropped my Lexus off on February 1st 2024 to repair slight body damage on the left side front quarter panel. There was no communication from the service advisor throughout the process. My husband inquired after not hearing from anyone after 3 weeks. The 1st time I received a call (probably because they didn't want to talk to my husband) was Tuesday March 5th (4 1/2 weeks after dropping it off). Advisor said they would try & hoped to have it finished by Friday March 8th. I expressed being dissatisfied with the lack of communication and suspected someone dropped the ball on getting the work done on my car. Friday afternoon another advisor called to say it would not be finished until Monday. On Monday, March 11th , nobody called.....so I had to call them. At 4:40 I left voice mails with both Dean Barrett & Adam Dominguez wanting to see if my car had been finished. Ten minutes later I got notifications (from the Lexus app) that car windows or doors were open! The first time that day I figured someone was attending to my car. About 5:15, 30 minutes after I had asked for a call back from the service advisor & production manager.... the receptionist, Blair called me to let me know I could pick up my car. Forty days later!!!! I have yet to hear back from Dean or Adam! When I came to pick up the car nobody (other than the receptionist) was there. The body damage was repaired and the car was returned clean. However, I discovered wind noise coming from the drivers side door window. I dropped off my car on Tuesday morning, with insisting that my car would not be there more than 1 day. I was able to pick up my car first thing the next morning! So, after 7 weeks I'm hoping all is fixed properly and I will not have to deal with this body shop again. read more

After being told my rear ended bumper would be fixed in a week for $1000 took almost 4 weeks and $5000 I was finally called to come pick it up. No other communication. I show up and they refuse to give me my car saying I owe $1000 out of pocket for an accident that was not my fault. They refused to help me with the insurance problem so I did it myself getting an immediate payment to them. I was called by Chad that everything was ok and come back to pick up car. When I showed up again they refused me the car saying it had not been payed though it had. They had no interest in seeing my proof and the receptionist literally called me a liar to my face. After threatening to call the police and screaming I was given the keys with a nice man telling me to never come back. Trust me. I won't. Total bad business practices. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a body shop. I will never use them or anything associated with Ewing again. My car was in for two months for very minor damage. They do not communicate anything with the costume. You have to call many times, leave many voicemails, and emails before you get any word back and they just yet lie about everything. From the service adviser to manage, horrible from top to bottom. Go elsewhere, you'll be very happy you did. Definitely terrible experience for this shop. I had my car in the shop waiting for over 4 months while they keep telling me that the repair is finishing "next week". All the supplements adding up from $6000 to about $24000, which would have not be a problem if they really fixed my car. Right after I got my car back, I found a major scratch under the right skirt of the car which was never there before the repairs. And I found out that the rear and front censors are all messed up. The car's adaptive breaking system fully stopped my car on the road while I was driving 70 mph on highway!!! There was nothing in front of me and the car behind almost killed me!!! I called the shop and they said they will be in touch with me but they never did. I called so many times but eventually gave it up and went to another shop. Terrible customer service and terrible repair quality. No wonder the store has one star on reviews. read more

I dropped my car off on December 19th to receive repairs. I did not receive one call from Chad, my consultant. My husband went to the body shop after 3 weeks because I didn't get a returned phone call after I left a message for Chad. Chad blamed the lack of communication on the receptionist. However, I was assured when I dropped my car off that Chad would be in communication with me every step of the process. When my husband asked Chad why it was taking so long to repair $2500 worth of damage. His response was, "you just dropped you car off at the wrong time of year". My husband asked him to think about what he just said because my husband is also in the car business and it is their responsibility to take care of the customer. Chad agreed. I believed that I would be getting a call from Chad with an update on my car. I had to call them! Fast forward to when I picked my car up. I accidentally left my garage door opener in the car. My husband called the next morning to make sure that they grabbed it for me. He was told by Adam that he would go out to the car and get and for me to ask for him. We suffered massive hail damage and had Ewing Buick do the body work on our Enclave. 4+ new estimates/prices for repair routed through insurance and several weeks later, we picked the SUV up and immediately noticed a rattle. We've never had a rattle before. :/ The service dept could not identify the source, but suggested replacing the struts and control arm bushings with labor rates that ranged from $110 to over $400/hr... and that 'may' fix it. Due to the outrageous labor rates, we were able to have the entire front end suspension: struts, spring, assembly and entire control arms with bushings for the R/L front end for less that Ewing estimated for just the struts and control arm bushings. The rattle persists. Now Ewing has had 3 guys 'hear' the rattle and they insist the other shop introduced the rattle they couldn't hear or identify before. In the first week after picking up our Enclave for that body work... - Have a new rattle that is evident while driving slow in any shopping center parking lot ($1700 spent replacing the front end to not fix the prob) - Had to clean sand out of the center console and floor. They insist they don't know how all the sand got in the car... likely introduced when they cut the roof off the SUV or otherwise had all the glass out on a windy day. - Had to replace the alternator Then this last rain we had the SUV outside the garage and learned that the sunroof is leaking... severely... we have photo and video of the water dripping inside the Enclave. That they admit they introduced when they failed to assemble the sunroof correctly. I am attempting to speak with GM Jeff Gaden to see what we can do to get this resolved. read more

Do not come to this body shop, !!! Worst experience ever! My review is 100% authentic and genuine. I dealt with trace conn at Ewing body shop he was very friendly at first when getting my business but after I had a concern and went back for a recheck for my tale lights not being properly aligned with my bumper. My body shop estimator Trace Conn was so disrespectful and rude towards me, I was in complete shock and sadden by such behavior of this employe. He yelled at me and was so rude when explaining to me why he could not fix it. I did not once raise my voice towards him not once, so I did not understand his anger and aggressive behavior towards me, I was so embarrassed by this employee. Customers should not be treated like this after getting over 3k worth of repairs at their shop! Very unprofessional. And un acceptable! However I did not let his rude behavior scare me so I insisted and He finally decided to fix it. And he ask me for my keys which were already in his hands and he jumps in my car and slams the door on my new Mercedes !! Absolutely horrible. He is giving this company a horrible reputation. I will not recommend any of my friends to come here! Please stay away!. I'm so disappointed on how I was treated. Only one of my tale light was correctly aligned with my bumper the other one he said he could not fix. Please take your business elsewhere! They have horrible customer service! If I could give no stars, I would. So frustrated with this shop. Dropped car off 11/28 and told it would take about 2-3 weeks for complete repair. I had to request to speak to rep before leaving car and person looked surprise I made this request. Since when don't they come and speak with you regarding damage/vehicle. I consistently had to follow up myself after getting intermittant emails with no real status on them i.e. "in paint" appeared 2 days after one of my last phone calls asking what is the hold up. Also received a very condesending email from rep telling me the car was hit from outside in and has to be repaired from inside out. I'm not stupid, who's car gets hit from the inside out. Called again yesterday, asked for manager to give call back. No call back, I called yet AGAIN. Said he was "shooting for Friday afternoon". I told him I wanted to speak with some regarding the lack of service I was provided and he said call back tomorrow and speak with the Director. I requested he leave a message for direct to call me, said I would get a call in the morning. It's now 1:30pm and no call. I WILL NEVER recommend this center. I should have gone to Park Place. The best was I heard a radio commercail about how Ewing is family owned and prides on customer service. Someone from the family should check in on how their business is really doing and the lack of service being provided. read more

My sons truck had been while at college. He took it to a local dealer to get the process started. We got the initial estimate and a check from the insurance company. The dealership was very far away so I decided to try to get another estimate and repair at a local shop in Burleson, Tx. I went to Service King and they wanted me to wait 2 weeks (May 8th) just to get an estimate. I decided to try Ewing Body Shop which is about an hour from my home. I was set up to work with Vincent. When I got there he greeted me and looked at my sons truck. He noticed right away the front bumper was bent. It was not on the other dealers estimate. This is easily an extra $2,000 or $3000. Vincent had the paperwork lined up for me and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. He showed me how I would get updates via email and gave me all the information I needed. GREAT JOB!! The Enterprise rental car agents were great to work with. They showed me how to call the other persons insurance company and get a rental set up. The car they gave me was very nice and clean. I rent cars all the time and most are never this clean or set up this fast. Another job well done!! read more
