Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.

There are three different choices for seating. A hightop near the bar, regular tables at the bar, sitting at the bar, or sitting at a regular umbrella table by the pool. I guess that makes four options. I chose a high top. The menus are already on the tables and I was quickly seated and greeted by my waitress who asked what I wanted to drink and I ordered a club soda with lime. Yeah variety of good options for appetizers and meals ranging from a hummus salad to burgers to tacos and three kinds of fries including regular potato fries, sweet potato fries, and yucca fries. I opted for the shrimp tacos with a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy and quite yummy. The tacos were not great but not awful and came with a green sauce that was pretty tasty. The tacos are included in the order so it made for a decent sized meal. I was surprised when I received the check to find out that they had charged me six dollars for my club soda. Every restaurant I have ever been to has never charge me for a club soda. So they not only charged me for it but charged me twice because I got a refill. When I pointed this out to the waitress she said it is categorized as a soda but after some discussion she removed one of the charges. So I still had to pay three dollars for a club soda. If you're in the hotel and looking for some quick bite that are a decent meal or hanging out by the pool this is a worthwhile option.

Came for brunch for my weekly date outing with my gentlemen caller and had bottomless brunch. Unlimited food from the menu for $35 with unlimited mimosas for $25 extra? YES PLEASE! Good food, amazing art (available for purchase) and good music is the perfect combination. My favorite dishes overall was the dynamite shrimp, bananas foster waffles, and breakfast tacos. My favorite flavor mimosas were the mango punch and passion fruit passion (I think? I'm tipsy) flavors. You get to choose two flavors and the waiter brings the champagne and fill your flute to the brim cuz they understand. The. Assignment. (I wish I could remember my waitress's name cuz she was handling 3 tables like a pro). My honey loved the shrimp and grits dish so much he ordered it twice and he had the Cajun chicken pizza (tried that and it was bussin') as well as the churro waffles. I left with a full belly and happy face. The only dish I didn't like was the Tempura Corn Pancakes. No dice. I was too full to finish my banana foster waffles but I would have demolished them with a bigger stomach. They have a taco station that you do have to get up to make your tacos yourself but I was way too lazy to do all that. Parking was complimentary valet and also hella convenient as well. 10/10 experience.

Inside, the decor is very welcoming and warming. I sat at the bar in some very comfy bar seats. Chatted with the bartender a bit about the signature drinks and decided on the Campfire. This was a take on the popular smoked old fashioned. Instead of the smoke in the drink, it's served beside the drink, hence giving one a sense of sitting by a campfire. The drink was made with brown butter washed bourbon which gave the drink a nice velvety texture. I ordered the double fried wings with traditional hot sauce. It's nice that they come with celery and carrots with the choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing. I was disappointed in the wings because they were far from double fried. They should have been extra, extra crispy and they were just average. Went back the next night and had the Pork Belly Skewers and they were excellent. They had a spicy bulgogi glaze and were cooked perfectly. All in all, a good place. I will go back on my next trip to Orlando.

Both were above average when you take into account $30 for the steak and $22 for the salad. This place is expensive. I wasn't drinking, nor was my wife. However, everyone else that did get drinks said they were great. Again, you will wince at the price of $18 for a mixed drink more than likely. I'm a fan of Taffer because he basically invented NFL Sunday Ticket and his show on Spike is fun. I am glad I got to experience going there once. One issue I have a massive problem with is their policy on gratuity for large parties. Mandatory gratuity? Makes sense. Making that mandatory gratuity 20%? Pushing it, but okay. Calculating that mandatory gratuity on the post-tax total? That's greed. I will not be returning based on this alone. They even have the gall to ask for an ADDITIONAL tip after that.

When I was running late, driving north after work from South Florida I had a 1st primary objective, make it in time to grab one martini at Swizzle. I was making ok time but when I got into the lobby I knew I only had 15 minutes to spare. And there was a long line to check in. When I finally checked in I only had minutes left. I walked up the busy evening bar with little to no hope. And yet one of the busy bartenders saw me and said they had last call already, but they would get me for one. Halleluiah. One martini later and I was ready to wander to our room. The Swizzle is retro, brightly lit, and especially friendly. Looking forward to stopping in again soon.
