I went here for my boyfriend for the first time and I will say it has its pros and cons. Pros: There was no wait what so ever and the prices were reasonable plus they played some 90s songs which was a fun throwback. Cons: The conversation was a little awkward at best. The barber never introduced himself and while his fade was okay, it wasn't fantastic. The cut was quick and there was no real attention to detail. Been coming here for a couple of years, unfortunately my most recent visit will be my last. I asked for a trim to thin out the top and a #2 on the sides. The cut lasted at most 5 minutes, every time I've been here they've taken their time. The sides of my hair are patchy and noticeably longer in some areas than most. I work in the restaurant industry and had a few guests point it out to me while I was working. Talk about embarrassing. The people are great who work here that is why I am so disappointed. I was a walk-in on a busy Saturday & showed up 20 minutes before they "officially" opened. The owner greeted me, explained they were still in the process of setting up shop for the day - but to have a seat & as soon as a barber was free, I'd be in a chair. I take my son to lots of cheap hair salons, great clicks, Supercuts ( that are close to my house ) and you definitely get what you pay for. The last place I took him the lady cut the sides of his hair and left bangs! Not even what we requested! I think she told me the last time she took training was in the 80s, good god...It was awful! After that experience, I decided to venture out further and took him to Pacific Coast Barber shop to be seen by Jazmin and she worked wonders! First time I walked in their it was because of a reference from a relative about a new shop in town. Decor is modern and the shop is really neat and clean. Was welcomed by Mike, the owner, and took me right away. Conversation was warm and friendly. The vibe is chill and every employee is welcoming and nice. My haircut was very clean and it was very reasonably priced for the services I received. Fast forward about 2 months and 7 more haircuts, I've seen Mike every time. Never waited longer than 40 minutes, and that one time was because I walked in riiiight after someone who was there to see Mike, as well. Didn't have a problem waiting, though, because... we'll, it's a barber shop! Would definitely recommend to anyone, I've seen the other heads get cleaned up by the other barbers and they're all good, as well. Try em out, you won't be disappointed. read more

Warning!! If you are looking for a barber to cut your kids hair, this is not the place to go. Unfortunately I didn't know this until I was there and my 9 year old son was already in the chair getting his hair cut. I'm no prude but the music and videos they were playing were so offensive and vulgar, frankly it was disgusting! Any place that blasts music that repeats the "N" word over and over and cuss word after cuss word is not somewhere I will give my business to. But, then the music became so explicit about sexual acts that it even made me blush I had to ask the person cuttIng my sons hair to please finish up as quickly as possible because the music was so inappropriate for a little kid. She proceeded to tell me in a very snarky tone that she couldn't finish his hair in like 10 minutes. I then stood in front of my son so that his view was blocked from seeing the corresponding music video on TV and that is when the barber got angry and told me she wouldn't finish cutting my sons hair and that their barber shop was NOT for kids and that any other barber shop would be more of the same. I asked what I owed and then walked out and went to Sharkey's Cuts for Kids and they finished up the cut and did a wonderful job. So disgusted that this is my neighborhood barber shop! So for the last 6 months or so I'd been growing my hair longer. No specific goal other than to see if my hair does anything interesting. Anyway after self acceptance that my hair did infact bear strong resemblance to Kramer from Seinfeld and that -said- Kramer from Seinfeld also beared the strong resemblance to a guy being electrocuted and getting their hair caught on fire, I braved a new barbershop. Was also lightweight emitting 'white trash ex grampa in-law' vibes from how my hair looked. Picture Inspector Gadget from the side and throw in unsavory grampa swag. Daisy asked me enough questions to essentially blueprint a new Matthew head and start from scratch with hair that actually had a chance. Daisy the hair whisperer has a big ass brain folks. Traditionally the final form of a dumpster fire always looks like a dumpster that caught on fire but she took my dumpster fire of a haircut and made wine from water. I looked in the mirror and felt like a human being because she did so much more than just damage control. She gave me a hairstyle I've never had and that was the whole point of growing my hair in the first place! Seriously raised my frequency. Everyone was cool there. I wish I caught the names of the other two people. One man and one woman. I have a feeling the man may have been the owner possibly. The hospitality was legit from them all. They have a respectable little barbershop mini bar in there and we had a little toast to good vibes (Jameson). Never had a cool experience like that after a cut either! Recently moved to the area and decided take a chance with this establishment. HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT go to the girl in the second chair. I asked her for a medium skin fade, a 2 on top with the grain and a line up and after about an hour in the chair, she gives me the mirror to check the back. I immediately noticed the fade in the back was uneven and too high I asked her if she could make it even. She asked for help from the guy with the tattoos and after about a 5 min tutorial she went back to work and he walks away. Ten minutes later I get the mirror back and honestly it is even worse than before, at this point extremely frustrated I paid and left. Honestly, I was under the impression that they knew it was a bad haircut, I got the side eye a few times from the two other barbers during my haircut and she was taking so long on the fade that I knew it wasn't going to be the best service. I would recommend training the barbers there on fades and also asking for assistance if they ever need it. If the barbers can not provide quality service then they should not be cutting at any establishment. read more
