I returned for a touch up from a different barber but he wasn't able to correct it. If I was to speculate, my barber seemed distracted by a conversation that was happening on my right side where the hair was left uneven. It's an observation not a claim. This was before a vacation. Once I got home, I went to a different shop and they immediately saw and fixed the issue. This shop has a great reputation so I think might've been an off day.

The folks over at "Evolved" Barbershop mean every single word they say and they stand by all of them, which on the night my 9 yr old boy and Ishowed up was quite a few of them. Seriously though, (and I do not have names nor would I share if I did), the dude at the front stall, as you enter, was very engaging and hilarious. From the moment we walked in his commentary was cordial, comical and engaging! I'm one of those dudes who is not overly fond of "small" talk. I am not a jerk about it and if you ask me some meaningless question, or point out some pointless fact such as, "Boy, it sure is getting chilly lately". I will respond to you, but I am not happy about it! I just like to keep the peace, ya know!? Now, to his actual haircut//"stylist". it was Fantastic/ She was Amazing! For $30, she threw some "rizz" on my boy! (At the age of 53, I have absolutely no clue if that word was just used properly or not?! OK...well, now I feel would be a good time to conclude this review! Please know, and with 100% seriousness, our lady in the 2nd Booth from the front door was great! She was awesome at making my shy, always trying too hard to be cool, and quite picky, 9 year old feel great, comfortable and and with a newfound confidence. I suppose that is what a new look, expertly created, can do for you! I forgot to mention that she was quick, as well! We walked in (no appt) around 6:30pm pn a Tuesday night and there was only one other customer in the joint. During our 20 min or so, that guy finished and another guy entered and was promptly greeted and taken care of by the young man near the back. After roughly 17-20 minutes, my lil dood shook off the excess strands of cut hair and walked out of EVOLVED with a whole lot more "rizz" and you cannot place a price tag on that! My son's hair has NEVER looked better and I mean that!!! That is why we will be returning to EVOLVED every 3-4 weeks as we go forward!

I made the mistake of letting another barber (Edgar) line up my beard once when Ronnie wasn't there, and I walked out looking like a Lego pirate. Unfortunately, the actual vibe was... aggressively not that. I went in a couple weeks ago and it was weirdly quiet and unwelcoming. Aside from maybe one guy, nobody really talked to me or even seemed particularly interested in acknowledging that I existed. Then there was Edgar. Edgar was apparently there to protect the silence at all costs. The man basically grunted at me and seemed completely uninterested in having a conversation. On top of that, he smelled like he had either just left the bar or had been partying until sunrise and decided the barbershop was the next stop. I'm all for a chill environment, but there's a difference between "laid-back" and "did I accidentally walk into a barbershop during a hostage situation?" I went in the first time with an open mind. My second time, he got me damn near perfect, I say it like that, because anyone who knows about your relationship with a barber knows it's going to take at least 5 cuts to get things dialed in. UPDATE 11/20/2025 Ok, so I would like to keep my above statement as a fact, but I can't. I measured my hair two weeks later and found that she cut the left side 3/4 inches to 1 inch shorter than the right side. So, I don't know if this is due to the fact that my head is not perfectly round, my hair line us unevenly receding, if this due to something that all the barbers from the coast of Oside and the barbers a few miles from that area are trying to convey to me and each other, but yeah.... She even faded the left side more than the right when it came to moving around the crown's edge...
