The haircuts are never good it's happened multiple times where i've asked for a medium fade and get a high fade or i'll have some bulk removed and they just end cutting everything and you end up looking stupid because one side is always higher then the other one the px has cut my hair better than stud cuts and it's cheaper this last time i went i asked for a medium fade with an inch taken off the top she completely ignored that and essentially cut off all my hair i might as well just go bald. read more

Fresh cuts for these cuties! Looking extra handsome thanks to our girl Max at Stud Cuts We've been coming here for the last several years & refuse to take them anywhere else!! We tried the kids "Sharkey's cuts" but were not impressed with the staff or the end result of the attempted haircut especially for price. We've also tried another local barber, but kept having the same issue. Needless to say, we only go to Stud Cuts Everyone at Studcuts is great, but we got lucky finding Max in the beginning for the boys because she is so good and so quick. When they were younger they were very wiggly and moved alot, which I was worried would result in a mistake with the buzzer/clippers, but to my delight, Max is a pro. You could tell she's done hundreds and hundreds of all different types of cuts on young kids because she's so efficient, professional, sweet and kind & PATIENT with them. She also does my husband's haircuts as well and they all leave happy everytime. Go check out the shop in downtown Oceanside between Mission and Civic Center. Support local! $25/cut comes with wash, optional (kid's love doing the wash and styling their own hair at the end with the complimentary product samples that our out to try) **Cash only, bring it, otherwise there is an atm inside read more

I lucked out with Lexi. I am not a Marine and was a little concerned but, I was referred to Lexi. Turned out to be a great decision. I have pretty tough hair to cut but, she tackled it and got it done. She took her time and did exactly as I asked. I highly recommend her. read more

Just got my haircut by Miguel. The best fade and overall haircut I've had in a long time. Being in the military I get a lot of haircuts and it still ruins your day when you get a bad one! I'm glad I found a barber worth waiting for! Thank you so much, keep it up brother! read more

Went to get my haircut while walking the farmers market and got my haircut at Stud cuts today The gentleman in the far back did a really good haircut definitely coming back here amazing job. read more

Just went to get a cut , whoever is in the back right corner , he's a Hispanic dude with a tattoo his neck needs to start practicing and learning , I asked for a simple medium low fade (more on the low) I said nothing off the top just less than a quarter inch for the bulk off , and left me with this terrible cut , he cut off the whole top , and did a terrible fade job , I had to ask him to properly fade me , the whole fade is uneven , he started lining me up for no reason , then proceeded to say the cut was $30 , $30 for this terrible cut? The Hispanic ladies cuts for $25 and they know what they were doing , terrible cut so disappointed, I've been going here since 2019 and this pushed me away read more

A true barber shop. Built on top of military cuts and men's haircuts this shop is quick, efficient, and has extended hours that go way beyond what others provide. The free shampooing and free styling products are a nice touch. I got a cut on a Saturday night at 8pm. No other shops were open. I found they have apprenticeships which was cool to support growth in the local economy. read more

terrible barbers. do not come here if youre trying to get a good cut. I asked for a mid fade and the female barber cut my hair so high to the point where I'm considering going bald. read more

I've been coming here for a while usually my haircuts have been 20 plus tip. Today I went and some lady in the front left cut my hair and told me it was 30 and that it's been that price for years. As far as I know the haircuts are 20 and there was even a sign that said it was 20. I didn't feel like arguing and just paid the money. Won't be going back again. Updated: I came home and looked, it's a nice haircut, the shop is good I just don't like getting overcharged by one person. read more

I went in and asked for the front of my hair to be evened out and the back shaved. The back was fine, but the front was cut entirely too short. I said half an inch at most and i went from 4-5 inches of hair to 1. Will not be going back, spent almost $40 on a bad haircut. read more

I have been coming here for a long time. Today I get the white lady in the back right corner of the barbershop. Never been cut by her before, and the whole experience was different from all the other ladies that usually cut my hair. Then she tried to tell me the cut is $30. I usually get $20 haircut and tip $5 which is why I had $25 cash in my hand when I walked in. Then she's annoyed, says she'll honor the price this time. Then as I am walking out she starts to berate the lady that usually cuts my hair cause she's not charging me enough. I drive 45 mins to come here. LOST MY BUSINESS TODAY read more

Update: I was not asking for anyone to get fired. No one has asked me who my barber was in order to take such a drastic option. What kind of management would fire some one without confirming who the barber was? I stand by what I said, I will not be returning. Original Review. Possibly one of the worst cuts I've had. Choppy fade and very uneven. I am not sure if my barber was new to the game, was rushing it, or didn't care. It was my first time coming here, and I won't be returning. Do not recommend coming here. read more

Very welcoming. Great customer service. Clean shop. Very personal and friendly. They care.

Took my two boys and their friend to get a haircut. They wanted to chop off all their hair. For the quality and price, definitely wasn't worth it. At one point another hairdresser/barber had to come in and help the lady that was cutting one of my son's hair. I want to so badly go back and have them fix their hair but worried it would only make it worse. The ladies were friendly but quality not what I was expecting from Stud Cuts. read more

Not bad, as a black guy it's hard to get a decent haircut but this is pretty decent. And it's cheap I recommend.

I have honestly got the best haircut from Brit every time I've went there in the last year. I was sent there from a mutual friend to see a barber name Britney and every time she has without a doubt given me the best haircut I've ever had ! Thanks Brittney read more

Everytime I go in there I walk out with the best haircut and the best "bang for my buck"! I normally go home to the 90706 (up north) and get my haircut over there but I always can't find a Barber who can perfectly get it how I want it. It's either too high of a fade, horrible fade, you can still see the lines of the fade, or the price is too high for a weekly hair cut. So I now travel back to Camp Pendleton and on my way, stop by Stud Cuts to get a haircut I know I will surely love and walk out feeling!! Cheers to Stud Cuts for always bringing me back for almost 5 years! Staff are amazing! Manager is amazing! And best of all, the Haircut, free wash and some hair product is on point! It can't be beat! Keep up the great work! read more

I am 100% loyal to Blanca! She's super nice and knows what she's doing!

This place gets you in and out fast without compromising quality. Haircut, hot towel, wash and product all included. Are you kidding me!? Can't believe a place like this exists. read more

After being ignored and skipped over at another shop, I went to Stud Cuts. I was greeted by Christina who was more than happy to cut my undercut. I prefer barber shops over salons for my undercut, cuz lets face it, females in SD don't have short edgy cuts, so most of the time they jack it up. So why not go somewhere where shaved heads a specialty. She did a good job, was fast and super nice. I will be back to see her! read more

It's not just another haircut, It is my hair. Great work! You made me feel comfortable and confident!

Took my husband and son to Britney Slocum and she did the best job on both of them. My husband has curly hair and it's hard for most barbers to get right. Britney did an AMAZING job on his hair. She had a wonderful attitude, very welcoming and kind. We won't go anywhere else now!!! Thank you Britney!!!! read more

I've been coming here since 2004. They never disappoint. Last night, Britney did an amazing job. Max is Awesome, clean, and friendy staff.

$30 for a bad cut, less than 5 mins. The barber did a bad job, hair is almost same before cut. Don't go here

Walked in this morning. Warm comfortable environment. My wife and I just moved to Oceanside so this was my first haircut experience. Great cut, great price. I would recommend Stud Cuts to my friends. read more

I wasn't greeted with a hello or a smile, it was very awkward like I was supposed to know to just sit down. I came here because of the good yelp reviews but what a mistake. The lady who cut my hair seemed pretty nice but unless she has a buzzer as her main tool I don't think she knows how to cut hair. I got a quick hack job and now my fiancé is pissed at how bad my hair looks along with myself. I have about 30 different lengths of hair and it looks like I was laying down while my hair was cut. Atleast I can wear a hat for awhile and wait for it to grow enough to be fixed. Beware, do not go here if you want to keep your hair on the slightly shaggy side. read more

Stud Cuts - Crooked and hacked to pieces - Barbers Near Me - Oceanside, California

The ladies provide great hair cuts for a cheap price. I come in every week for a military regulation haircut, and they have only disappointed me once. The haircut was slightly higher than a medium reg. The experience is very cozy. When you enter, you see a dozen barber chairs. Only women work here, and some of them are really cool to talk with. After your cut, you get a free hair wash and can get free aloe aftershave and hair gel. The hours for this place are very late and cater to the military crowd on a Sunday. I use these guys on the regular unless I am too busy on the weekend. read more

This is the best barber shop in Oceanside. With the Marine base just miles away, there is plenty of good barber shops to choice from. Stud Cuts stands out the best because of the service of ALL of the barbers do a GREAT job. I've been coming here for over a decade and I've bounced from barber to barber. It is so rare that you would see the same barbers there after all these years. I think the average tenure is way over 10 years on average. The Korean barber is my favorite now. She remembers my style, calls me by name, and makes me enjoy the 15 minutes I'm in her chair. Thanks Hee for the shampoo massage as well. CC, Mary, Maxie, Alma, and Bianca, to name a few, are fantastic barbers as well. read more

I'm going with 5 stars on this business. In a military town where barber shops are as common as bars - this place is one of the better ones. I've known about it since way back - and decided on a "new" look to go with my long hair. Low Mohawk it is Since my boyfriend has been going to Valory for years (because his hair is perfect every time he comes home) : I let her do the scalping. Precise and stylish. She's been doing this for many years and the quality of her more shows. I've seen her do perfect 'ramps', crew cuts that look straight out of a 60's beach movie, fades that were even - She's really good , and best of all: can't beat the prices! read more

Love this place love everybody there except the blonde white lady who works on the left side when you walk in. Super aggressive hand and razored my widows peak hair line WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME.
