Been going there here and there for years now. Usually everyone is great about cutting my hair, but I must agree with everyone else. I got to get my hair cut by the blonde woman who is on the left of the entrance and she was way too aggressive. She left scars on the back of my neck. It was clearly painful everyone could tell. Not going to leave low rating because overall the business is good it's just that one person. read more

Well the Barber that I saw today was fn horrible I normally love this place but she cut my eye brows and didn't even ask like wtf and well I told her to take 1/3 off the top and she showed me me and I confirmed the length and well she chopped 2/3 off the top like wtf seriously pissed but the eye brows is the biggest thing like why would you think it's OK do just shave part of someone's eye brows off read more

After coming here for some years Blanca and Max are my go to ladies. They give great fades and don't leave you looking like you just got out of boot camp. Depending on the day the wait can be kinda long but they have a good amount of barbers to keep the line moving. Complimentary hair wash afterwards adds a nice touch other places don't offer. read more

Stud Cuts - Barbers Near Me - Oceanside, California

When my husband got stationed at Camp Pendleton, he knew he needed to find a barber shop that he trusted to cut his hair- and do a great job. Stud Cuts was recommended to him by some friends, and it is now a regular occurrence that we see many we know within it's walls! They have very comfy couches that you can come in and sit on while waiting for your haircut, and whoever I see sitting leaving after their haircut always seems impressed and happy with the result. The staff is very friendly, and they know what they are doing. My husband also loves that they will wash out your hair afterwards so he doesn't shed everywhere. I definitely recommend! read more

I drive 40 miles to get my haircut here. Super consistent. Highly recommend. Favorite part of my weekly routine.

Been coming to Stud Cuts for over 4 years now and will continue to come here for my haircut and beard trims. While all the barbers are friendly and professional, I recommend Heesun if at all possible. Her attention to detail and the needs of her client stand out to me. I have never left without a great cut/trim. Her quality is evidenced by the number of clients waiting for her chair. I change my schedule to accommodate her availability. Hee never disappoints!!! read more

After visiting another in-town barber shop the Sunday before, my husband was eager to try another place. This is the 2nd of 2 places recommended to me by fellow Marines & their spouses. We didn't come to this place the weekend before because it is further from our apartment, but it was 100% worth the drive across town! We arrived right as they opened on Sunday. The inside is clean, comfortable, and everyone was very welcoming & friendly. The big TVs and selection of magazines ensures that you won't be bored while you wait - or chat with the fellow patrons. My husband got a high-reg from Sara & says it is the best haircut he's ever gotten since he became a Marine - even better than the folks at Parris Island! Hubby's haircut was $9, and for an extra $2, she straight-razored the lower part of his head - definitely worth the extra cost. Finally, once the barber is done, you can get a free shampoo & moisturizer applied to prevent razor bumps & ensure you don't have any random hairs still clinging to you. Summary: wonderful business who know their stuff - especially Sara! Hubby will be getting his weekly regulation haircuts done here every week from now on :) read more

I've been going here for about 8 years, see Sharon who is located just to the left as you walk in. I'm a repeat customers not just because she does such a great job with my hair but also because I have a rapport with her. I used to get my hair cut weekly while I was a Marine and now I still make the extra drive to come see her. The overall environment of this place has always been a positive one from all the staff even when it's at its busiest on Sunday's. I'm still treated with the kindness and respect that most patrons come to expect. I highly recommend this place for a haircut. read more

I was very close to giving up searching for a good barbershop in town until I stumbled upon this one. Turns out my old barber from San Clemente moved down here since they closed the Stud Cuts in San Clemente. I'm very glad to have found my barber again. Looking for a shop in Oceanside that doesn't just do buzz cuts? Look no further, Stud Cuts is for you. Get a nice fade and a rinse. Get a mohawk or a buzz cut. They do everything. They are widely popular so if you don't mind waiting for your favorite barber then have a seat on a comfy couch and watch the game. The best fade I've ever gotten. Saturdays Sundays are the money making days for the barbers due to marines getting their haircuts the day before work. So avoid the long wait. The best days to come are Thursdays & Fridays. You're gonna want to have a haircut before the weekend anyways so you're fresh when you hit up the ladies! read more

The place is closed until further notice. Hope you read this before going. Don't pay attention to the hours. However when they do open back up I recommend it. Probably about 7.34x better than a px cut. There I said it. read more

Whether you're a Marine, Sailor, Soldier or Airmen (or even a civilian); this place is the best. The girls here are super fun; know exactly what we want, and they don't mess around. I came here the 4 years I was stationed at Pendleton. On a road trip from San Diego to LA I stopped in for a quick clip because I love them so much. If you are planning on coming here on a Sunday, be prepared to wait. It is worth it; but you're not getting in and out quickly! read more

This place is nice and i love the service here. But the price is outrageous. For a simple buzz cut it cost me 13 bucks. If i had hair and needed a real haircut yhen this place would be fine, but i can literally down the street and get a $8.00 haircut that is just as good. I do love there huge room with tv everywhere playing nothing but sports. Also they give you a complimentary rinse at the end. And if your into the straight razor shave they service that but for extra. So if you need a military cut and on a budget then this place is not good place for you. But if you have a $13 haircut budget and like a sports male atmosphere then this is perfect. read more

When you are Marine, finding a good barber is like gold! The first time I got my hair cut at Stud Cuts was in 1995. Since then, I've been stationed in North Carolina, Okinawa, deployed, etc. So, off and on, I've been getting my hair cut there for 18 years. They girls do a phenomenal job. They know how to cut military hair. Flat tops, High reg, Medium reg, Low reg, shave your neck with a straight razor, etc. Then a shampoo after. Good size flat screens for watching while you wait. I think ESPN and all the major sports games run 24/7. Never seen anything else play on them. The ladies all have calenders at their stations. You know when they will and won't be there. Sharon cuts my hair and Mary rides shotgun. Always a pleasure being around them. Even if they are having a bad day, you won't know it. One word of advice, always tip. Don't be a chump. Best barber shop in Oceanside! read more

Been getting my hair cut by Mary now for almost 14 years. I've found that a lot of barbers have a hard time with a good low reg, and she nails it. read more

Prices going up. You never know if you're going to be charged $11, $12, $13, $14, $15, $16 or $17. This is ridiculous. I like the idea of this place, but every barber charges a different price. Today I was charged $15. I cannot believe it. Oh well I hope they know what they're doing. I have decided to change this to a one star review because the lady who cut my hair said that she did not set the prices, but I do not believe that is true because everyone in that place has a different price. They should post their price so you know what you will be paying. read more

This is favorite barbershop in Oceanside if not all in California. Great service, good people. They always get my haircut exactly what I want. Moved alway and this place is still by far my favorite and best barber shop ever. read more

We've been coming to Stud Cuts for almost a year now and have been happy overall with their service! It's always packed and I can see why -- between comfortable seating, a lot of flat screen TVs, and fast service, Stud Cuts is on point!!!!! read more

So Glad San Diego Still Has Barbers! After getting a few really bad fades, I got word this is the place to try. Walking in I realize Stud Cuts might be what I was looking for. Multiple barbers doing more then just Marine cuts. I was always skeptical of barbers in Oceanside, thinking all they do is buzz heads and send people out. Not here! As I was waiting, I noticed a few barbers giving some really good looking fades and cuts. I right away knew this was my spot. Got the best fade I've ever gotten. My barber took her time to tell me how it was cut, and how to ask for it next time. She was really nice and I loved her positive personality. Great haircut at a cheap price. I really could not ask for more. Super pumped I found Stud Cuts. Avoid Sunday. I went in Friday afternoon and it was little wait. read more

My man and his boys love this place. When he was in, they would come to this location or the one in San Clemente on a weekly basis. Now that he's out, we still come to get his haircut here. Sarah, at the Oside location, does an amazing job. He usually gets a fade and a line up, which she always does perfectly. The atmosphere is also chill- they have big couches since there is usually a line, and plenty of magazines to read while waiting. They also have music going and usually a sports channel on. Not to mention, I think that the whole staff are ladies, including the shampoo girls who rinse you out and give you a quick scalp massage. I deff recommend this place for any service men or men in general. read more

Have always liked Stud Cuts. Always a great experience with Britney. Always professional and cuts my hair the way I like it. What I don't like about stud cuts is watching the male barber troll for dates with straight men. And if you are in 29 Palms they also had one there. Not sure if they are still in 29 Palms. read more

Great haircuts, razor fades are available and you get a free hair wash afterwards. Styling products also available.

Every time I go to Stud Cuts I get unbelievable service! The barbers are nice, respectful, and in my humble opinion, the best barbers on this side of California! Specifically, Patricia knows how to put a perfect line on my not so perfect forehead. They always are festive for birthdays, holidays, and any day. As a military serviceman, I appreciate all they do for my brothers and sisters in arms. Their prices are reasonable and their employees are personable. Anytime I get the opportunity, I make sure to make it all the way down the Stud Cuts, to get my fresh cut. read more

Stud Cuts - Best Barber in OSide - Barbers Near Me - Oceanside, California

Awesome staff and they all know who you are after coming in a few times. My marine buddies got me going here in 2001. I never keep my hair to military style, but they do civilian hair cuts just as good as the expensive places. I usually pay only $10-12 for my cut. They even trim my beard. I go every two weeks to get my fix. DONT GO ON ON SUNDAYS. Really busy with active duty guys getting their cut for the upcoming week. No kids hair cuts on Sunday's either. No appointment needed, they usually get to you in under 15 minutes of waiting. Sometimes no wait at all. Check out Mary and Sharon. Been going to those girls for years. You get a free wash too and they have all the styling gels right next to the sinks. They also have sports games playing on the huge tv's hanging from the walls and lots of comfortable couches while you wait. 5 stars all the way! -Bill read more

Hands down the best barber shop there is. Staff is professional and offers timely service. All of the barbers are really good, but Sharon and Mary (first two chairs on the left as you walk in) are hands down the best barbers I've had in the past 20 years. The service here is not just great for adults or military, they also do great work on children as well. read more

Great haircut. In town on vacation and needed a military cut. I usually cut my own, it's pretty short, but it's always good to treat yourself every once in a while. They're open late, I walked in around 5:30 and sat right down, I only wish I had caught the barbers name - she was great! 1 1/2 on top with a high fade & razor cut, you CANNOT beat this. I only wish I was going to be in town long enough to need another cut. Thanks Stud Cuts! read more

This place does a great job for a good price. The barbers are always polite and they have sports to watch. The wait is usually long, but besides that, this is my "go-to" barber shop. I especially like the hair wash at the end and complimentary hair products to look sharp before walking out the door. read more

Got my haircut here earlier today because I was visiting the store next door to them and thought why not. It's a nice clean place and there was no wait at all. Sharon and Mary have been cutting my hair for 15+ years. No better work, no better conversations. These girls and the rest of the crew are exactly what Oceanside needs for customer relations. I cannot recommend them more!! The parking leaves something to be desired, but that's Oceanside. Great prices, 100% great haircuts every. Single. Time. Recommend this place above all others in Downtown O'side!! read more

This is a review I'd been meaning to write and time got the best of me. However, for the type of business they are the review is needed... In a town where there's military men everywhere you turn a good barber is required with all those weekly haircuts. However, most Marines are either married or have girlfriends and have to accompany their men to get a weekly haircut. My husband used to come here and he said it was awesome. with time some of those friendly ladies became RUDE.... They like to gossip and sometimes sit there moving their mouths but not their hands. My Husband found two people he liked going to and well he made it a point to only go to them since they did a good job and were nice to everyone. Then came a hot day and we went in on Sunday like every week and it was too hot to stay in the car. we only had our daughter at the time and she is so well behaved you wouldn't notice her. As we walked in a girl at the door was giving tickets. As they use a number system to control who's next. However, my husband put his ticket down and waited for the person he wanted only to get yelled at by some crazy blond with short hair saying he had to go to whoever was available. ( my husbands reaction "the F*** I Do) you don't tell your guest they can't get their haircut by who they want. Then since it was a Sunday it was busy yet we always walk in as there is sometimes a seat inside. Well my daughter and I got yelled at by the same crazy lady. NO PEOPLE SKILLS WHAT SO EVER! I was pregnant at the time and I just wanted to sit for a bit. I walked out and told my husband I didn't like that place. For our luck the two awesome ladies opened a new place and he now goes there along with his friends. And guess what we are welcomed every time and my two girls now love them. It's worth the drive down the street to Knuckleheads. read more

Best barbershop in North County. Tried over a dozen places. These ladies know what they're doing. Cut exactly how you want it. Offer straight razor and shampoo. Been going here since 2005. Wouldn't go anywhere else in SoCal. read more

I have only been to Stud Cuts twice but on both occasions I waited less than like 3 minutes before i was called on. The employees here do a great job and obviously are skilled in military haircuts since Camp Pendleton is like 2 miles away. A fade runs you $9 and they even offer a straight razor shave for $2 more. I personally enjoy a straight razor shave and find it worth the extra 2 bones. They'll ask you if you want to shampoo your hair and you might as well go for it because its gratis! (free) read more
