My neighbor and I just decided on Henderson tree service after a few written estimates. Juan and…read morehis crew removed a 30 foot pepper tree between our property lines without a problem. The stump removal and grinding and subsequent aftermath including the lack of customer service and professionalism on the part of Nancy,the person in charge/owner, is the downfall of this business. First of all, Juan stated the stump would be ground down 8 inches below ground level. After removing the large pile of stump grindings by my neighbor it is revealed that the stump hasn't even been ground below the surface. In addition, the stump grinder has shot two holes through my new vinyl fence and placement of what was once a 30 foot pepper tree in the back of their truck caused further damage to my driveway. Who would pay for that service? Not me. So, I call Henderson tree and speak to Nancy who sounds very put off that I haven't paid. I tell her the stump has not been ground as stated and my driveway is further damaged. After several more calls, I finally get her to reschedule the stump grindIng, and she offers to fix the damaged part of driveway. So over a week later, I call to confirm the work to be done the day before and to offer driveway settlement options based on previous estimates that I received just for the damaged part of the driveway. She flies off the handle and starts ranting and raving about how I am trying to gouge her to replace my entire driveway and its not worth it. She then cancels my next day rescheduled appointment and hangs up abruptly. Good businesses would handle customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner and would do so til customer satisfaction. A good business would want future business from this client as well as future referrals from this client. Bad business is when work is not completed as stated. Bad business lacks professionalism or worse yet is rude. Bad business breeds more of the same and who wants to pay for that. Bad business should not be in business. Now I am off to save others from the same demise. Time to make my complaint to Henderson tree, their insurance company, the Better Business Bureau, the state contractors, and Facebook land.

They used a chainsaw to cut the palms and must not have been able to hold the saw because there is tons of knicks now all over the trees. They left a mess in the yard. They showed up and worked for 3 hours and charged me $1500 which was there day rate. 8 hrs :( When i called to have them come back and finish the job the lead person Bryan told me oh well you paid me. He told me to cancel the check and was being very combative. It's like they KNEW that I needed them! Update 2026: One of my HUGE trees fell. I realized that my other 3 trees posed a threat to my house if they fell as well. I still had their number from the first time. I called Mark and he answered knowing my name. He still had my number in his phone! Hi Judi, How can I help?!!! In one day, he and his great crew removed the fallen tree and cut the other trees down to a size that no longer threatens the house and all for a reasonable price for the large amount of work that needed to be done.
