They used a chainsaw to cut the palms and must not have been able to hold the saw because there is tons of knicks now all over the trees. They left a mess in the yard. They showed up and worked for 3 hours and charged me $1500 which was there day rate. 8 hrs :( When i called to have them come back and finish the job the lead person Bryan told me oh well you paid me. He told me to cancel the check and was being very combative. Because of the proximity to the house and power lines (as well as the tendency of eucalyptus to drop limbs), we decided to remove the tree. We got three bids, and Cutting Edge Tree Service not only came in with the best bid, but Earl said our tree was an "easy day" compared to some of the jobs he's been on. His level of confidence and experience was one of the primary reasons we went with him. Earl himself was on site for the whole removal, and his team fully cleaned up after the job, reducing our cleanup to small twigs and a few wayward wood chips. They also did an amazing job maneuvering their equipment on our sloped lot and driveway, and overall demonstrated great competence and confidence in the work. So, I figured out that I had better call Earl to get an estimate. Bottom Line: No Surprises Earl's price was in line with the other estimates that I had received, if not a little lower. His crew showed up when they said they would and took less time to finish than was estimated. They needed to take down a fence to get better access and they put it back up when they were done. The collateral damage to other plants was exactly as he warned us it might be and they cleaned up after themselves (Other than leaving a lot of the redwood chips for our gardener to use as mulch for the rest of the yard, as he had requested.) I put this job off for a long time because I didn't really want to deal with the hassle and inconvenience. Earl and his team made the process about as easy as it could have been. I had no complaints and would use him again if I needed to.

My neighbor and I just decided on Henderson tree service after a few written estimates. Juan and…read morehis crew removed a 30 foot pepper tree between our property lines without a problem. The stump removal and grinding and subsequent aftermath including the lack of customer service and professionalism on the part of Nancy,the person in charge/owner, is the downfall of this business. First of all, Juan stated the stump would be ground down 8 inches below ground level. After removing the large pile of stump grindings by my neighbor it is revealed that the stump hasn't even been ground below the surface. In addition, the stump grinder has shot two holes through my new vinyl fence and placement of what was once a 30 foot pepper tree in the back of their truck caused further damage to my driveway. Who would pay for that service? Not me. So, I call Henderson tree and speak to Nancy who sounds very put off that I haven't paid. I tell her the stump has not been ground as stated and my driveway is further damaged. After several more calls, I finally get her to reschedule the stump grindIng, and she offers to fix the damaged part of driveway. So over a week later, I call to confirm the work to be done the day before and to offer driveway settlement options based on previous estimates that I received just for the damaged part of the driveway. She flies off the handle and starts ranting and raving about how I am trying to gouge her to replace my entire driveway and its not worth it. She then cancels my next day rescheduled appointment and hangs up abruptly. Good businesses would handle customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner and would do so til customer satisfaction. A good business would want future business from this client as well as future referrals from this client. Bad business is when work is not completed as stated. Bad business lacks professionalism or worse yet is rude. Bad business breeds more of the same and who wants to pay for that. Bad business should not be in business. Now I am off to save others from the same demise. Time to make my complaint to Henderson tree, their insurance company, the Better Business Bureau, the state contractors, and Facebook land.

He does annual fall trimming and yard clean-up; I have two large pine trees in my front yard that get pine needles all over the front yard; his guys clean up everything perfectly!
