Excellent beers and food. It's a regular spot for us, we look for their beers when out of town too.

Good good and beverages.... Cavernous and leans more toward the boisterous crowd and larger gatherings

Fun atmosphere and good food. We visited on a Saturday…read moreearly evening and even though it was crowded we had a short wait. They have a good selection of beer and I tried the Grapefruit Shine which I really enjoyed. I had the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich. It was a fried chicken breast on a roll with bacon, cheese and Old Bay aioli. Three of us ordered this and we all thought it was really tasty and my husband enjoyed his Hot Honey Chicken sandwich. But be warned it is messy. So yes food was good so why the four stars instead of five unfortunately it was our service. Even though we ordered our appetizer, a Bavarian pretzel ahead of time it did not come out until our meal. And yes this can be timing from the kitchen. But we hardly saw our server, her section for the evening was so spread out that she was not attentive to us. We will still go back just hoping our service will be better.

And because we are a Responsible Professional Company we were on-site 15 hours early. Imagine my delight when I saw that the receiving building shared a lot with a brewery teehee. Truck stop tacos for dinner? - I think not. Now in other reviews you know how I feel about breweries without food. Not the case here - pizzas, sandos, pretzels, salads, wings. And the beer list?? Multiple sours for me, hazy IPAs for he, and pumpkin flavored beer to usher in autumn. After that huge setup all we got were fries and beer lmao. The point is we COULD HAVE gotten more if we wanted it. Fries were hot and crispy. The pumpkin beer was incredible. And of note, the actual restaurant space was huge. With Rona numbers on the rise, we opted to sit outside on the huge patio. All in all, def worth a visit especially if you're in nearby Assateague or similar attractions and are tired of crabs lol.

We saw the WMDT's news piece on Foodie Friday and it looked and sounded SO good. We've passed by on…read moreway to/from the beach and always say, "we should go in". So we drove 30 minutes from OC last Sunday night, arrived about 6:30 to what seemed like a closed business. No one in the front of the house bar and foe a newcomer, didn't really know where to go. We heard laughter, but didn't know where and looking down another room, looked like it ended at another set of doors. We turned around again and then ran into an older couple leaving who told us, service is slow, they had to hunt down their waiter, but the nachos were good and filling along with avoiding eating outside as the gnats were terrible. Despite that ominous warning, we decided to try it and luckily as we wandered closer to the noise, ran into an employee that acted like a manager. She was eager to please, seat us and tell us that if we minded the bar noise (NFL game with boisterous fans) she'd move us. We didn't mind as it was better to be in a lively bar scene than a dead dining room. Service was definitely slow despite the emptiness of patrons. I decided I wanted to try the featured salmon I saw from the Foodie Friday segment. It sounded and looked so good with a Thai sauce cooked in the wood burning oven supposedly. When it was served it didn't look as I remembered from TV and whatever wonderful flavors the telecaster tasted, was definitely not what I experienced. Basically the salmon was ruined by over indulgence in a salt bath. The vegetable side was lacking anything but onions and a few slices of squash. At least there was a healthy serving of rice, which I thought was good, little sticky, but I'm a huge rice fan anyway you serve it. My husband (the salt king) ordered the Chicken Alfredo. He liked the chicken which tasted like it was cooked on a grill and shredded on top of the pasta. The Alfredo sauce was tasty, but he felt it was overly salty. I did try it after my salty salmon and my taste buds must have been salted out as I didn't notice that comment, but I enjoyed that meal in FLAVOR MUCH better than the salmon dinner. Restroom was appalling! There was NO TP, paper towels strewn all over the floor for some reason. Thank goodness they had paper towels. They do charge different pricing for cash vs credit.

Food, drink and service outstanding on a Wednesday afternoon. Black and Blue pizza off the hook.read more

Went here this past weekend as part of a crab feast/ casino trip . Upon arrival, the establishment…read morefrom outside appears to be big. Once inside the restaurant, the tables are long and very close together. Not too many table are just 4-tops of which means you'll be seated with others most likely . It was a tight squeeze to get up from the tables due to them being so close . They dump all the crabs and corn on your table which leaves lil space to actually eat them. There are three bathroom stalls for a really big restaurant of which causes a long line every time you need to use the bathroom. Now the crabs themselves were a mix of small & mediums but they were really juicy and had a good taste. The servers were pretty cool although they seemed overwhelmed with the large groups of people. Overall the crabs, corn, clam strips, and fried chicken thighs and shrimp were good. I would come back again just not on a trip so I can get a better chance if not being seated with people don't know .

I had first caught wind of Old Mill Crab House about 10 years ago, when a group that included…read moreseveral of my coworkers took a charter to go eat at this location. The next day everybody was talking about how good this place was. They talked about the all you can eat crabs, that same with fried shrimp and chicken that was just out of this world, and it just sounded incredible. I had actually looked it up, and told my wife about it, but it was just to far of a drive without having a day planned around it. We don't really go out to this area, and so after a while it just kind of fell off of our radar. Fortunately for my though, I was invited to a conference at Salisbury University through my employer. I was talking with a friend of mine about the food ion the area, and he brought up a name that I hadn't heard in some time, but it clicked right when he said it. I did my googles and found that we were only 20 minutes from here, and I knew it was now or never. I told 2 of my coworkers about it, and gave them the backstory on how I've been wanting to cone here for years, and they were down. The only thing that came as a drawback was that we had just been given blue crabs at our conference the day before, and I didn't want to sit through another crab picking session, so AYCE wasn't going to be an option for me, but luckily it didn't end up being a problem. When we got here we were seated immediately, that staff was friendly and it smelled amazing as soon as you opened the door. Our sevcer was very accommodating seeing as we had to split the bill 3 ways and she put the alcohol on 3 different checks for us. Anyhow, The food! I got the Snow Crab mini feast, which came with 4 Clusters of Snow Crabs, 1 Piece of Fried Chicken, 1 Ear of Corn, Boat of Fried Shrimp, Boat of Clam Strips, Boat of Hush Puppies. Which was more like 3 pieces of chicken, and shrimp flowing out of the boat. I also got a pitcher of Blue Moon and a Tito's Wildcat which was really good. I could've done without the powdered sugar on top of the hush puppies, but it didn't ruin how good they were. It almost gave off a beignet vibe, they were lighter and fluffier than a lot of the more dense hush puppies I've had, and were still the best hush puppies i've had in a minute. Needless to say I crushed this whole meal, and I was actually considering not even eating the corn. Then I figured I should atleast take a bite, because why not. Best decision ever! I pealed the corn and drizzled melted butter with Old Bay on it, and holy smokes! The best corn i've ever had in my entire, whole, full, complete, total life! Even without the fixings it was sweet and juicy, just good. I would fircking come back from a Corn on the cob mini feast if they had one...lls The only real downside is that on a hot day this place and get pretty stuffy inside. We spoke with our waitress who said the A.C. has a hard time keeping up once the place gets packed, so hopefully thats something they fix in the near future. Definitely glad I got to check in here, and see what all the hype was about, and they delivered! Old Mill Crab House is the TRUTH!!
