My neck curvature was not normal in any way plus potentially dangerous long term. It led to nerve pain before I committed to the adjustment regimen. My spine was visibly off center with and without an X-ray. As well this led to numbness tingling in my feet jogging simple 5ks. It was bad to say the least. The adjustments provide great immediate results, relieving the spine of its inevitable buildup of tension. Long term the adjustment regimen the Doctors have in place for myself thus far have led to great X-ray results. My neck curvature is significantly more visibly normal and always progressing with positive results. My spine alignment is visibly not off center plus my hips feel good too. I've been committed to an adjustment regimen for a while now, so I only see/feel progress while on it. Obviously someday, if off the adjustment regimen long term, gravity might do its thing de-aligning improvements..however this is just a hypothesis Overall I highly recommend the Doctors and team here for improving people's wellbeing.

I could not walk properly, sit down, lay down, or even stand up correctly. I was referred to visit them from a friend of mine who also said that they helped her get back on track. I called and sent a text message, and immediately they responded and was able to squeeze me in the next day. Dr. Daniel assured me he could help me get back to being pain free and he kept his word. Within a week, I was back to feeling like myself with an active treatment regime. I have experienced in the past chiros quickly adjust you and your off. But not these guys. They really care about your health, concerns, pain and will do what they can to treat you to wellness. They have so many treatment methods to get you feeling well and I'm so grateful I found a spot.

Based on the per visit price he makes a lot more than a surgeon, This always seemed very excessive to me, but when you're desperate you pay up if you can afford to. I assume most chiropractic patients are hurting, and pretty desperate for solutions. I just can't agree with the cost. So did he fix me? NO , but the massages were helpful at the time. Many of his reviews indicate very long term clients. Did anyone actually get cured or just get caught in the long term care program? Buyer beware is my free advice. Time is itself a great healer.

Life-Changing Experience with Dr. Josh: A Must-Read for Those Seeking True Relief…read more I rarely leave reviews, but Dr. Josh has truly changed my life, and I feel compelled to share my experience. After struggling with spina bifida and a self-induced spinal fusion for 20 years, along with countless physical therapy sessions, muscle relaxers, painkillers, and various back massage devices, I finally found relief with Dr. Josh. In just one week, he provided an honest diagnosis of my core issue, which surprisingly had little to do with my back. He identified the root causes related to my mouth breathing and an old ankle injury, simply by observing how I sit. I am now in my third month with Dr. Josh, and for the past 10 out of 12 weeks, I haven't even thought about my back pain. His targeted exercises have made a genuine, visible difference within days. Dr. Josh's understanding of the human body's core issues and his ability to provide precise, effective exercises is unparalleled. If he told me to run through a wall, I would do it without hesitation (of course, using the proper techniques he taught me). I highly recommend Dr. Josh to anyone seeking real, lasting relief. This review is for Dr. Josh Akin (also, Chicago Chiropractic moved its Northfield office to 562…read moreGreen Bay in Kenilworth). I'll start by saying over the past decade, I've been to a few chiropractors with limited benefit and after the first couple appointments, would dread going and wasting the time/money, feeling fairly sure the "treatment" was getting me nowhere. The difference can be summed up by the fact that I look forward to appointments w/ Dr. Akin. I strained my back showing snow in Feb 2021, saw a couple of chiros, a couple PTs, had X-rays and an MRI -- nothing was helping. I coincidentally heard about Dr. Akin from a friend of a friend and started w/ him in March 2022. Our first appointment was enlightening: So many things not even related to my back that he picked up on that had been causing mild discomfort for years; for me, a locked up ankle that was causing tightness on that same hip and pain in the opposite heel and knee. A lot of drs will tell you low back pain is a result of a weak core. While that's true, Dr. Akin's approach to building the core is unlike anything I've done or seen on websites, social media/bloggers, etc. If you've been struggling with back pain for a while and the big box chiros/sport med practices aren't getting you anywhere, you owe it to yourself to call Chicago Chiropractic.

I'm a Believer! Meghan Schmit is a very talented healer. I…read morewas seeing a conventional podiatrist about a bone spur in my heel that caused debilitating pain. My doctor wanted me to get an expensive MRI as a likely prelude to surgery. But I had heard about some great work that Meghan has done and thought that maybe I should investigate her approach before I start down the more conventional path of Western medicine. That was a very, very good decision on my part. I met with Meghan about 10 times over eight weeks for acupuncture on my heel and leg. Each session usually lasted about 45-55 minutes. In that time, Meghan got me back on my feet, pain-free and so much more. Not only did she effectively address the pain but she also prescribed a daily routine of specific stretches to help me get to the root of what caused the spur in the first place. And while we were at it, because I had mentioned feeling congested from allergies, she concocted an herbal tea recipe that completely cleared that up as well. Acupuncture and herbal medicine have been around for over 3,000 years. So I probably shouldn't have been surprised that it was so effective. What did NOT surprise me though was how thoughtful and careful and creative Meghan Schmit was in diagnosing my situation and expertly delivering the appropriate remedies. That was exactly what I was told to expect and she delivered the goods. Meghan takes her profession very seriously. And she is very, very good at it. I only wish there was a rating higher than five stars. --PH (63 y.o. male)
