For the most part they enjoyed themselves, but suggested more flip time. My second visit was for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. The birthday party was cool... there was one attendant for the party and the party consisted of at least 12 children. The party attendant pretty much stayed on schedule the entire time. I guess the kids were having a good time, but it seemed to robotic of a party IMO. A birthday party perk...the birthday child draws a name and the child selected wins one free month of classes courtesy of the center. At this particular party, the parent filled out a card and the cards we placed in front of the birthday child and my child card was chosen!! Talk about excited! I cannot wait to use this reward and therefore, I will give a more detailed review of the center. But as of now, so far so good. I did witness a few practices going on during the birthday party and the girls seemed super focused. The center is huge and it includes upstairs and downstairs. There is a small shopping area as well. The air fresh, but the gym did smell a bit like feet... As of now, I would recommend you check this place out. It's located in the industrial area of Chesapeake (Greenbrier area) where other warehouse style buildings are located. Parking is limited. And the center is minutes from Greenbrier Mall and other shopping. Have fun and enjoy life :)

You know the saying, 'monkey see monkey do'? Well, our younger one wanted to do it too. So, we checked what was available for him since he is a bit younger. So because of age, they are in separate classes and can't do it together. No problem there as we figured it could help with their independence, and we even found classes that worked out better for them in the end. We like that parents are given the option to stay, but you don't have to. There is a window on the other side that you can watch your kiddo as they do their class. I really loved that as I could see how my kids went from shy and reserved to outgoing and excited. From what I saw, I wouldn't say either is doing 'gymnastics' lol, but they're having a really fun time, and that's enough for me. We'll continue to keep coming back as long as the kids want to.

This location also hosts camps and other events throughout the year for the little ones, they are extra fee though. Members do get discounts on these extra classes though. They also run limited deals throughout the year such as sign a sibling up and get 25% off or 50% for a second class for current members. My only small gripe is I wish the younger kids classes such as the 2 year olds were a bit lower priced since they aren't really learning any skills, but more so just playing on the equipment.

I frequent this center often and hadn't noticed PDA before, but birthday host told me that it had opened over the summer. The party was well organized with a balloon arch and dance themed decorations (of which I learned they provide). The party table was set up in the front and the kids had free play in the gym/studio that is located in the back. They did a craft and also played games. About halfway, they blew up a bounce house in the gym and more fun was had. It's owned by a sweet family, managed and instructions led by a mom and daughter duo. I believe the mom has experience in cheer and all of the kids in the family was involved in the activities they instruct at the studio in one form or another. They seem to have a packed schedule every weeknight (attached a picture of the schedule) and the prices are very competitive to some of the other studios I have researched! They are very clean and have lots of great classes offered for different age groups. Parking is directly across the street with is convenient. The bathrooms are very clean and have a baby changing table. They are following social distancing precautions for the parents. They have spaced out chairs numbered for parents to wait, only one parents allowed. They have a limited amount of gymnastics apparel for purchase. The young lady at the front desk is always nice. As far as social distancing goes for the children (3-4 year olds), kids will be kids and get in each-others faces, this age group isn't required to wear face masks and it is hard to keep them properly distanced even with the instructors guidance and dividing the children into smaller groups. Hand sanitizer is provided to each child when they enter the building and when they exit. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because my child's main instructor does not appear to have the appropriate training on how to properly interact with children. She does not have the teaching or leadership skills needed for small children. Her patience runs thin and I did not like her tone with the children or the way she spoke to them. I chose to withdraw my child for this very reason.

No warning, no discussion, and no follow up conversation after to see how they could help. What's more, my husband called to further investigate what the issue was and we were told she was 'misbehaving', but they couldn't tell us how. If a 2 year olds big feelings when they are struggling is seen as misbehaving then this is not the place for little kids. Hopefully this experience hasn't scared my daughter off of gymnastics for good. Additionally, this was all done in front of all the other parents, making me feel ashamed and humiliated. A staff member marched out of the office and ranted that she 'needed to be taken away' in front of everyone and with zero compassion. I left in tears. This is not a supportive or safe environment for any parent or young child.

I figured since it was so inexpensive that we would try it out. Honestly because it was so inexpensive, I didn't have very high expectations. They absolutely blew me away though! Teresa is absolutely amazing , and has taught my son so much. They went above and beyond my expectations, and I am so glad we had the opportunity to take this class this summer.
