***This review is created during the covid pandemic***…read more My 7 yo has been going here for 2 years now. He's started as a very spirited, strong headed kid which had led to some issues in school. Master Lee didn't kill his spirit but redirected it into something productive. My son has been more disciplined and more respectful since he started doing tae kwon do at Master Lee's. It gave him a purpose and he looks forward to advancing to the next belt level. I really like how he is being taught that he needs to work hard for what he wants. When the coronavirus pandemic started, I was really worried that his routine will be disrupted but Master Lee was quick to adapt to the changes imposed by the pandemic. They did online classes for his weekly lessons. My son did his belt testing yesterday at Master Lee's and it was just the 4 of us there. There were hand sanitizers everywhere and all of us wore masks. My son finished and got his advanced green belt. He came home happy and excited and proud of his work. Thank you, Master Lee and Ms. Set!

My 9 year old is very focused, very determined; where as my 6 year old has trouble with focus and attention. Grand Master Lee and his family are fantastic. They are kind, understanding, funny and playful. The masters are focused, respectful and hardworking. The environment is centered around principles of respect, hard work, discipline, the value of others and love of country; with a dash of indoor soccer and a heap of laughter. GrandMaster was the coach for the US Olympic Team for ten years. I believe with his experience, teaching style and love for his sport, there is no better a person to have as a leader, coach and mentor to young persons. The US Taekwondo Center is a family oriented and family run business.

Not only are they learning strong karate skills, but their confidence, focus, and discipline have improved so much. One of the biggest differences we've noticed is in school. The lessons they've learned in class about respect, listening carefully, and staying focused have really carried over into the classroom. Their teacher has even commented on how much they're excelling and how much more confident and attentive they've become. It's amazing to see how the skills from karate translate into everyday life. Master C is patient, encouraging, and truly wonderful positive role model to these young kids!!! All the instructors keep the classes fun and engaging while still teaching structure and responsibility. My child looks forward to every class and is always excited to show and tell master c the good work he's done outside of the studio! The studio is clean, safe, welcoming, and has such a positive, supportive atmosphere. It really feels like a community. We couldn't be happier with our experience thus far and highly recommend this studio to any parents looking to give their child a strong foundation both on and off the mat!

We…read morewere concerned with being too old to learn and a little self-conscious about being in class with a bunch of kids--that didn't last long. We were immediately accepted and welcomed into a close-knit group of individuals (both adults and kids) that just want to have fun, get in shape, and practice taekwondo. Master Kim and Master Lee are great teachers, always making the class fun yet challenging. We look forward to every class and always leave proud of what we accomplish. We're testing for our orange belts this month! Anyone--especially adults--that think, "man, that looks like fun," but are letting doubts hold them back--don't. Come into a class and give it a try! You'll be glad you did.

We absolutely love this academy! Taekwondo has helped shape our Sophie into such a confident,…read moredisciplined, and determined young girl. It has been amazing watching her grow, not only in her skills, but in the way she carries herself and believes in herself. One of the things I appreciate most is Mr. Baker. He doesn't just teach Taekwondo, he incorporates real-life lessons that the kids can carry with them outside of the academy. He teaches them about respect, confidence, perseverance, accountability, and how to handle challenges in life. As a parent, that means so much to me. I love watching the class every week! Our kiddo genuinely looks up to him and loves being part of this academy. I'm so grateful for the positive impact it has had on her and for the confidence and life lessons she continues to gain along the way.

What started as an activity has truly become her passion. Mr. Baker is extremely knowledgeable and intentional in the way he teaches. He creates an environment built on trust, respect, and high expectations. He is firm with his students, but that's part of what makes his instruction so impactful. Life isn't all sugar cookies and rainbows, and he understands that he's not just teaching kicks and forms--he's helping shape character, resilience, discipline, and confidence. I've watched my daughter grow in focus, accountability, perseverance, and self-belief. She walks a little taller now, carries herself with more confidence, and takes pride in her progress. I am so grateful she has found something she truly loves and a mentor who is preparing her not just for the next belt, but for the real world. Highly recommend to any family looking for more than just a sport--this academy builds strong kids from the inside out.
