The coaches are super encouraging and do a great job guiding you through the slow, controlled movements that make Solidcore so effective. The Mosaic location is also a huge plus. There's ample parking in the garage, and it's free for a few hours, which makes getting in and out stress-free. After class, you're right in the heart of Mosaic District with tons of great spots to grab a smoothie, coffee, or a full meal--perfect for a post-workout reward. Highly recommend this location for both the workout and the convenient, lively atmosphere around it!

I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself. They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either. I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway. Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week. I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym. Awesome location, awesome coaches, and awesome workout :)!

This is my second time trying hot yoga…read more I originally signed up for a week trial with some friends. But of the 7 days I was only able to go for 2 days. As soon as you walk in, they ask you for your name to check in and then direct you to one of the two studios in which the class will be taking place. The studios were very clean and well maintained. There were lights lining the floor around the room. I'm not sure if this was for the holidays or if this was a permanent lighting.... But it was still nice! I loved that the classes were held in the dark... With the just the lighting along the floor. The the two classes I attended were in the evening, candlelight one was R&b music. The other one was rap music. I'm not going to lie, the music with lyrics is very distracting when it comes to yoga! Especially because the music was pretty loud and the yoga instructor did not use a microphone. As soon as Ginuwine "Differences" and Anoop Dogg "Drop it like it's hot" came on, yoga was over for me LOL. I like that they offer locks at the front...for free, but I had my own lock. They can be returned either in the basket in the bathrooms or at the front. They also provide other toiletries and sanitary products. Also, for first timers, they provide a mat for free which is then returned at the end of the class. There's parking surrounding the building but it can get a little tight. Would I return? Sure, absolutely if it fits my schedule!

Plenty of parking, variety of classes and time. I usually go to yoga at the gym now start coming…read morehere more.

For other studios, I often dragged myself to class just to finish a class package, but for BASH I get so excited and pumped to go. It's been about 2 months here and I'm already 30 classes in! BASH is a combo of boxing and high intensity strength training for 45 minutes. Half of us start with floor exercises while the other half is on the bags, and you switch 1 to 2 times, so class really just flies by. The punching bags are filled with water making it easier on joints compared to traditional bags too. The coaches here are all amazing... so energetic, friendly, encouraging, and motivating! I think they have a very good balance of knowing who you are, but not getting into your business (unless you want them to lol); and giving you pointers during class but also providing you plenty of space to just get a good sweat in. I really appreciate that. I also love how they encourage us to give fist bumps...it's such a simple act but really gives you a sense of camaraderie and encouragement!

Super convenient. There is parking just behind the gym if you drive there. I took the Bash, Box and Burn classes. For me the Box class was by far the best. It's extremely hard. Like no joke. It was great. Bash was really good too. Burn wasn't for me. It's more of a yoga class which is just not my thing. It was a little confusing given the brand but whatever. I should've read the details more closely when I signed up for that one. Also I have a wrist injury so couldn't do most of that class anyway. The Bash and Box classes go super fast so if you are unfamiliar with the six basic punches of boxing I would suggest getting a 101 class first just so you don't feel overwhelmed. Because it's so small it feels very community based. If tons of amenities are your thing this may not be the right fit. That said, I appreciated the towels and in the women's room there is a nice selection of toiletries. It also may not be right for anyone who needs adaptions due to injury. The classes just go too fast for that and all of the instructors are very young so maybe not super mindful of older bodies. It is very loud and tight quarters, by design but worth knowing in advance. There are free lockers. It was nice to see a huge diversity of ages, bodies and genders in the clientele. Good vibe.

I am extremely disappointed with how HOTWORX Vienna handles membership cancellations and customer…read moreconcerns. Trying to cancel my membership has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with any fitness studio. I spoke directly with the owner of the facility, and instead of taking accountability or assisting with my request, he repeatedly deflected responsibility by saying that "corporate" makes all the decisions. It felt like a constant game of passing the blame, which is completely unprofessional for someone in an ownership position. Additionally, they intentionally leave out certain information to get you to sign up, and once you have a card on file to pay for the membership, they charge fees and have rules that are hidden in the contract. When asking questions about these fees and membership terms, I was misinformed by multiple employees, including the owner. Furthermore, when signing up they also state you "must" buy THEIR mat and towel (which are insanely expensive, over $100) to use in the sauna, but in overhearing a guest tour during my session, another employee stated "any kind of mat and towel can be used in the sauna, even one off Amazon." I would NOT recommend HOTWORX Vienna to anyone looking for a reliable or honest fitness experience. This kind of misleading practice is disappointing and untrustworthy. Lastly, the facility itself also leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom is consistently unsanitary, and there's often visible sweat on the inside of the sauna glass doors between sessions -- which is unacceptable for a place that markets itself around health and wellness.

There are enough athletes at every level to give you something to aspire to. The coaches are approachable and programming never gets boring. There are sometimes time-caps but they are not strictly enforced if you want to go beyond them. There are areas in the back to do stretching and finish up if you want to. You can also do your own work out there if you don't want to do the class (needs 24/7 access level.) I love the Sunday workout. It is usually more cardio, a bit more relaxed, usually almost full, and everyone just having a great time during and after the exhausting workout. CrossFit Fairfax is truly the church of my family - just a great group of coaches and athletes united in a desire to get and stay physically and mentally healthy. CrossFit Fairfax is very reasonably priced for the area with family and military discounts. There is a 24/7 option that gives you access to the gym anytime on your own ($15/mo extra.)

Jeff and Julie are amongst the best crossfit coaches I've ever had the opportunity to train with. They break down each movement down to its most simple step in order to ensure you complete the movement correctly, helping prevent injury and making you stronger. There are always 2 coaches in every class I've attended, sometimes 3 coaches; this gives you a lot of one on one attention! The box is big with loads of space. When class has a lot of people you still do not feel "crowded." They have a good number of bars at all levels (45, 35, and even 25lbs). The plates are in good shape and in the first 2 months there I've seen new ones come in. Plenty of rack space. Oh and a nice stretch mat! The other athletes are pretty cool people. There are some serious athletes at this box but there are also plenty of regular people and even some children. You decide how hard you want to go. There is no judging or intimidation but lots of POSITIVE reenforcement. I love the 2 "big ass fan" helping keep the place cool. Give this place a try regardless of you experience level.

A lot of the treadmills have out of service signs on them and it takes months to see machines getting fixed. Pool is still out of service for well over 9 months, maybe even a year. Pros: It is convenient for me and I purchased my membership with a great rate. I've been coming here for about 2 years. If I can get the same rate at renewal time, I will keep the membership, but if they double or triple the rate, I will cut ties. Customer service: Not much interaction.
