I enjoyed two rounds of Jack and Ginger, while hubby had two rounds of Bacardi and Coke, and we both found our drinks to be satisfying - just the way we like them, not weak at all! Regarding the atmosphere, there was a group of three next to us (already seated at the bar when we arrived) who became a bit rowdy and disrespectful towards Sabrina by the end of the night, which I found disappointing to witness. I don't recall seeing any security present (it was a Tuesday night), but there should be someone in place to support the staff in handling such situations. While we didn't feel personally unsafe at any point, it's crucial for people to understand that once it's closing time, it's time to respect the staff and not cause any drama. We went for Mother's Day and once seated we started looking at the menu, ordered our mimosas and then ordered our food. 15 minutes after ordering our food a different server comes over to the table & says we don't have chicken and waffles it's not on our menu today(it was) , then she shows us a menu on her phone saying this is the menu for today our manager is updating it on the website now, they changed the menu to a more expensive menu after we already ordered from the first original menu(they also didn't have salmon, or French toast). food was 7/10, drinks not strong 4/10, service 5/10 ambiance 6/10 (only because of the love dj). I love this spot EVO . Their are so many surprises here, the food is actually really really good . The chicharron is just juicy and they give a great portion. I love the churrasco as well. My favorite was the fried chuleta. It was juicy and just mmm mmm good . The staff is great too , lovely people and very professional. The DJs are really good too . They have some great drinks too. We Got late night munchies and randomly picked this restaurant on door dash. I never really order so much in my neighborhood since there isn't that many options, but this establishment won me over. Evo has fallen off drastically. My girlfriend had a birthday brunch yesterday and the experience was garbage. Hubby and I arrived at 2pm and the rest of our party was pretty late but I will say that the staff was understanding, never rushing us. We posed for pics in front of their step and repeat, enjoying the music that was blasting from the speakers while we waited for everyone else. Their brunch starts at 1pm and ends at 6pm so we had plenty of time to make the most of the day. We ordered our apps around 330p and our server brought out carafes of Sangria, Bellinis and Mimosas for the table while we waited for the food. There were around 17 of us and it took 45 min for the apps to start coming out. Mind you, the apps are VERY small. Their wings only consisted of three per order and they were TINY. The fried mac & cheese were three mini dry triangular discs of cheap boxed mac with a mayo/ketchup dipping sauce and some ridiculous parsley oil that dotted the plate. It looked a hot mess but since I was starving, I stole one off of hubby's plate because for some reason my app never came. The server informed us that the kitchen was behind and those of us who didn't receive out apps would get them soon. Over twenty minutes later and I finally received my bacalaito roll which was gross and fishy. I love cod fish fritters but whomever conceived this monstrosity should be shot. It was one super long and skinny egg roll sliced in two with cod fish and eggs inside. It tasted NOTHING like a bacalaito in egg roll form which is what one would expect and again, the dipping sauce was meh. So in total, I waited for over an hour for one nasty fish egg roll that I had no choice but to eat because I'm preggers and by that time, I was dying of hunger. They didn't even want to take our entrée orders until everyone received their apps, despite the fact that it was the kitchen's mistake in the first place that, 1. We received our apps SUPER late, 2. Some of us had to wait even longer to receive our apps after they screwed up our order and 3. Two guests never even received apps at all. We had to insist that they take our entrée orders because we didn't want to have to wait another hour or so for more food to come out. My first choice was their steak and eggs which they were out of. How exactly are they out of an item when they've only been open for three hours? I'm not exactly sure but someone in the kitchen is doing a half assed job with inventory, especially considering that they had THREE large birthday parties reserved for the same day, same time and I'm almost positive that the steak & eggs are one of the top sellers. I mean, they only have a handful of items on their brunch menu so you would think they keep a decent inventory of items. I settled for their Chicken & Waffles and hubby had their Penne a la Vodka w/Chicken,some of which I tasted and it was not good at all. It had a weird taste but when you're starving, you have no choice. Again, my food was one of the last to come out and on top of that, one of my chicken pieces was undercooked. Yes. Salmonella and I'm pregnant. It took another 30 minutes after I complained to get a new dish which was dry chicken this time but at least it was thoroughly cooked and a likely microwaved Waffle. Another guest ordered the Penne w/Shrimp and after they started bringing out everyone's food the kitchen finally realised that they ran out of pasta and the guest had to choose something else which meant she waited even longer for her food. The sad part is that the manager would not come to the tables unless we asked the server to send her. It was like she was ducking us and didn't want to deal with the complaints. My girlfriend's sister set everything up for the day and felt we were not in a position to complain because we were late to start but they accommodated us and allowed us to keep our reservation and the entire meal was a sh*t show. My girlfriend's elderly father never even received his entrée and someone had to share their with him. I think the manager took of the price of one person which I think was not enough. They never even gave us dessert. My girlfriend had a birthday cake but our brunch included a choice of two desserts and they never even offered but the staff was asking for pieces of cake. Really. Most of the staff was drinking, smoking hookah and hanging out while we're waiting for our food that wasn't prepared properly and some of which never even made it out to our table. The only upside was that the DJ was decent so great going, DJ7ONE8 for at least keeping us dancing. So we were charged almost full price for two missing appetizers, a missing entrée and no dessert which was supposed to be included with brunch. Don't eat here. Go elsewhere. Bronx Burger House, Bronx Public, Silhouette and a host of other establishments would have served us better with a true party atmosphere, way better service and food that actually tastes good...plus AYCD. read more

I get up again to get my girlfriend away from these people and a second man Pushes me so hard to the ground that my wig and hat fell off my head when I got up for the third time I run over to the commotion and I had to beg the man to get his hands off my girlfriend . once he let her go they all ran back inside and I called police. This feels like a hate crime I'm not sure if they did this because we are lesbian women and they don't like the LGBTQ Community , I'm not sure if this was because they had a long night and wanted to go home , or if they were intoxicated because the staff was drinking on the job . This is a rating for the lounge only. I didn't see any food served. My friends and I arrived around 2:00 AM on a Sunday morning. It was $5 per person for entry. Not bad. The lounge was a decent size. DJ in the front on a stage, bar next to that and then an outdoor space at the back. We ordered some drinks. Decent prices. Nothing crazy. The music was good. A mix of reggae, soca, salsa and bachata. Very few people danced or mingled with one another. People seemed to stick closer with those who they knew. Hookah was available. Can't say I would return because it's far from my house. First and absolute LAST time! I went to the lounge for brunch on Sunday with my Zumba team. We were the first to arrive and had reservations for 1pm. First off, the busboy was not properly dressed and was wearing black sweatpants and a dingy white undershirt. Who does that??? Our brunch comes with unlimited sangria and mimosas. Why on earth would you think that offering more alcohol to a group who has already been drinking for two hours would make things right? What we needed was our food to absorb all the alcohol that we drank while waiting for our food! So, i ordered the rice with shrimp... Now unless you are fishing in the ocean for the shrimp, there is no reason why we are waiting that long for food when we were your ONLY reservation! Two of our girls cancelled their orders due to the wait. Half us us took our food to go. Terrible experience. We (my two friends and I ) went last Saturday around like 10pm it was empty about less then 10 customers, some left within the 30mins we were there. Once we walked in the bottle girl let us know the booths(which is the only seating they have for more than two people) were only for bottle service, so we can choose to sit at the bar or the small table. So went to the bar the bartender then let us know we can't sit there so we debated if we want to stay because there was bad communication, which we did we all order drinks and food we asked the bartender if we could sit at the table in the corner back she said yes mind you there is three of us and it empty in the place. So my friend pulled up a chair at the table so that she could sit but then a manger came and took the chair from my friend telling her she can't sit. I could have understood if it was busy but it wasn't and we were in the back of the " establishment" and the manger could have be more respectful in saying you can't sit there,we cancel the order of food and just finished our drinks and left. For food I had the Chicken Kabob which was delish. After eating one I asked the bartender if I could get the other to go. She must of thought I said I was done because I never got the to go bag. There's a DJ that played a mix of hip hop, old school, and spanish music *mostly spanish towards the end of the night*. All in all it served its purpose.
