Cynthia. Cynthia gave me my hair back. After a disastrous and devastating home treatment Ruined my hair I walked into Everything's Relative in desperation. Layla said "it's not that bad" and then--in the nicest possible way, "oh, I see" and scheduled a consultation with Cynthia for the same day. Cynthia and I talked and talked. She made it clear my damaged (destroyed) hair could not be fixed over night, that it would be a process, probably a longer process than I wanted it be. And it has been a long process. And yet, after every appointment I leave looking better and more hopeful. Today we achieved restored hair. I cried, kinda a lot. Before she was even finished. She did it! Nadira serviced me today with waxing. She was the most gentle, most relatable and calming person I've seen for these services. I was called back to her within a couple minutes of my arrival to my appointment. Her space was clean and relaxing - music playing and beautiful artwork to look at. She managed to wax me and talk effortlessly, making me calm and relaxed. I will definitely return to her. read more

Went for a hair updo and loved it! The people were friendly and it was reasonably priced. I then later, post COVID closure, went for a haircut...again people nice but the hair cut I received wasn't. I'm not blaming the stylist because I wasn't clear on direction but my hair did grow back funny. Will go back for styling...not a cut or trim. read more

I went for a shampoo and haircut, while my daughter had a manicure and pedicure. Staff were great about making a last minute schedule adjustment. Kim did my haircut, and while it came out a tad shorter than I wanted for the occasion at hand, I actually loved it as my preferred summer cut. In fact, it's the best haircut I've had in years. The price is higher than I usually pay but the quality was superior. Also, the salon is lovely- clean, comfortable, friendly. And I value the environmental commitment. I would have been a new client, but Katie at the Oak Lawn location was beyond lackluster and curt when I called to inquire about scheduling with Sandy. I am all about first impressions and if the people answering the phone aren't friendly, I can just imagine what the atmosphere there is like. Proper hair care isn't cheap, and if I'm going to be spending my money and tipping at least 20%, I want the staff (all of them) to be at least polite, friendly, approachable, and helpful. Word of advise to the salon owner, properly train your staff to have great phone etiquette. read more

I had the best facial from Claire. She was so sweet, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She really knows Aveda products and took the time to explain everything to me. When I moved back to Chicago, I thought I would likely never find a salon and stylist as good as my amazing stylist in the lower east side of NYC (if you want a great do... that's where you go!). I was recommended to Tranquility by a girl in the 'hood whose hair I'd complimented, but that didn't work out. My sister lives in the area and had recommended her stylist, Sarah, but I was a little scared to go, because if I didn't like her then my sister might get offended... it's pure drama, mama. Alas, I was desperate for a cut and booked with my sister's stylist. My hair was in a lob, just below my shoulders, and I wanted to bring it up a bit. Something a little more layered and fun... a sassy bob. I brought in a pic of Demi Lovato, which I asked Sarah to mimic. She exceeded my expectations. Not only for the area, but as a stylist in general. My hair looked awesome... truly. I've now gone to her about three times for cuts, and once for a partial balayage. Each time she does a great job and my hair looks fantastic. The price is great and Sarah is as good as anyone you'll find at high-end salons downtown. I discovered Everything's Relative -- Beverly a few years ago, and was attracted to the salon's pro-environmental attitude and being an Aveda certified salon. The stylists are really good too -- they will make great recommendations, are up on the latest styles and trends, and able to provide you with an excellent color as well. The salon works for both women and men, it's definitely top of the line. read more

Thank you Rose!!! I love my hair! She gave me a gorgeous balayage color and cut. I did a lot of yelp research to find a place that I thought could do it well and Rose at Everything's Relative in Beverly far exceeded my hopes and expectations. Everyone was very friendly and all the stylists had beautiful healthy hair. The salon was clean, pretty and the Aveda products always smell wonderful and relaxing. Friendly advice, cash only for tips. They do have an ATM inside but if you want to avoid the ATM fee plan ahead : ) read more
