Scott and Jane Orthodontics was my last stop. I was charmed from the get-go. They seemed like really smart people who studied from great places and were dedicated to perfection, and their staff was genuinely friendly. The office was beautiful. Of course, the main thing I really look at is the orthodontists' level of qualification and expertise. They seemed to be great in that regard, with Dr. Scott explaining the issues and the recommended treatment in great detail (without over-simplifying like some doctors like to do), and he seemed to have a highly cognizant understanding of my malocclusion. Of course, they're both board certified as well and have graduated from great places. It took me two years. Getting them on was a breeze (minus the spacers - ouch!), as was the removal. Adjustments are very quick, with virtually no wait times. One of the things I loved is how Dr. Scott himself did most of the work, and he only schedules one patient at a time, so you have the doctor's full attention. It's not like those orthodontic chain offices where the doctor triple books and then sees you for a millisecond at the end of the visit. Not at all. Dr. Scott always went into detail when I asked him questions, and too frequently I emailed him questions at odd times, to which he responded graciously and promptly. I really grew to trust him over the two years I had my braces. He is farsighted in his orthodontic vision, and meticulous in his treatment. He's not syrupy-sweet I'm-your-new-best-friend like some doctors are, but he is smart and clinical and wants (and knows) the best for you. He's also super chill - down to earth and very easy to approach. My overjet has now disappeared, and my crowded lower teeth (with one totally hanging out of the arch) have straightened out, with only two upper extractions done for the 12mm overjet. ...as you can imagine, I'm quite a dedicated retainer-wearer. Can't (won't) go back to the horror of crooked teeth. Throughout my treatment, the discomfort I experienced was minimal. Before getting braces, I heard HORROR stories about the pain... but my teeth rarely ever hurt (thank God, I was busy with classes). Perhaps this is just me, but it may also be the doctor's gentle hands and the modern brackets. Amber is the front desk receptionist, and she's awesome - always sunny and upbeat. I think Drs. Scott and Jane thoroughly vet their office members - and they've done well. Staff form the backbone of the office, and the experience is so much better when you have great staff to guide you through it! They have great, upstanding people. The ladies who work with the doctor are super sweet as well. Shout out to them all! I must mention that I was a nightmare in rescheduling - I think I rescheduled each appointment like ten times. They were so sweet about it, and very flexible! Don't be like me, though - stick to your appointment times! :) With this quality, you'd probably expect them to be super expensive. Nope! Their prices are actually on the lower end of Sugar-Land-average. Perhaps you shouldn't judge an office by its amenities, but they do have a lovely office, awesome decor, lots of natural sunlight, complimentary drinks in the waiting room, etc. etc. There are even iPads in the waiting room for the kiddos. TL;DR: Phenomenal office. Top of the line doctors, very caring staff. Super affordable. Great amenities. Nothing not to love! Don't overlook them if you're ever looking for Sugar Land's best orthodontist. That, if you'll take it from Sugar Land's worst patient, would be a mistake. :)

I've been seeing Dr. Hassid for the past year and can't recommend him enough! My first visit with…read morehim, he diagnosed a problem with my tooth that my other previous dentists had missed, possibly for years. This unfortunately led to needing the tooth to be removed, but he was able to guide me through the process and connect me with a wonderful oral surgeon. Throughout the process, it was evident that he was closely communicating with the offices of the various sub-specialists, coordinating my care, and probably spending time outside of his normal clinical hours to do so. Dr. Hassid has a very calm, patient bedside manner. He always takes the time to explain things, in clear, simple and easy-to-understand terms, and makes sure all my questions are answered. I can tell he really cares about his patients. His office staff are also all excellent - extremely courteous, accommodating, and professional. As an example, I had an appointment with him this morning. I received a phone call that one of the staff had called in sick, and my appointment would need to be rescheduled. However, very quickly, Dr. Hassid went ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate me into his schedule today, so that I could still be seen. It definitely wasn't necessary but really showed the level of commitment Dr. Hassid and his team have toward their patients. I think I'll be a patient here for a very long time.

They were extremely thorough with my cleaning, and talked to me in-depth about the condition of my teeth based on various x-rays and photos: what I'm doing right, what I could improve upon, what I might be at risk for, and more. The dentist also talked me through what to look for when buying toothpaste and mouthwash, and provided scientific explanations for which products work best. The new patient/scheduling process is very smooth, as well. I simply filled out the new patient form online, got an email the next day from the office to schedule my appointment (which worked great for me, since I often can't take phone calls during the day), and was ready to go. In 2017, due to an abnormal…read moregrowth rate of my son's mouth/teeth, our pediatric dentist recommended that we start considering orthodontics at an early age of 7. Nervous about starting orthodontic work so young, I consulted a few different orthodontists in the area, and Dr. Khan was the ONLY one that didn't rush me into making a decision to start orthodontic work immediately on my 7 year old. In fact, he suggested that we wait another year and re-evaluate after my son had another year of growth and maturity. I truly appreciated Dr. Khan's honesty with me, and he earned a new patient that day because of it. Fast forward to 2018, and after consulting with Dr. Khan, we decided to begin the process of phase 1 orthodontics. We started with an expander to widen my son's palate and then proceeded to phase 1 braces. One thing that stood out to me during the process was the way Dr. Khan respected my son as the patient. At every visit, he was sure to explain the process to both my son and me, creating a great sense of comfort and trust with my son. We kept the phase 1 braces on for about 6-12 months, and my son has been in a retainer since. He has had very little discomfort and pain from the experience, which is a miracle if you know anything about young children - and I attribute that to the amazing practice that Dr. Khan runs. As a side note, they also offer little incentives for their young patients to keep them motivated which is great (e.g. Khan coins which they collect at every visit and can redeem for toys). Dr. Khan has recommended holding off on phase 2 orthodontics until my son (now 10) has a little more skeletal growth. He is in no rush to get our money, unlike a lot of other practices in the area. He is very knowledgeable about the industry and has built my confidence throughout this entire process. Whenever we have had any issues, whether it be wires coming out during the braces phase or a retainer breaking, Dr. Khan and his staff have handled the issues with the utmost professionalism, promptness, and respect. His staff is also amazing. They are extremely responsive and accommodating. They are prompt in getting us seen, even on their busiest days the wait time is never more than 10-15 minutes. I will continue to recommend Dr. Khan time and time again whenever I see anyone looking for orthodontist recommendations. We feel very blessed to have found such a great orthodontist!

She was so thankful that this office was not trying to sell her on things that she did not need to get done. While they did mention her need for a crown, they did not sell her on any ancillary charges or bogus treatments for her teeth. My mom hates going to the dentist. And she doesn't like the dental field because she feels that they're very pushy and the make up charges or work without very much proof. One thing they don't tell you about orthodontics is that your face shape changes! My face got more narrow and my jaw became a little smaller. I was very pleased seeing the before and after. I recommend Invisalign even if your teeth appear straight because bite changes will result in structural face changes as well! The office is well staffed, emails are replied to quickly, and Dr. Tabakman is very thorough and comes up with a good plan. He will tell you how much time you need and as with all Invisalign providers, there are always refinements. This is not a negative to the office, but it is the drawback to using Invisalign since the trays are predicted 24 months in advance. Your teeth are stronger than the plastic trays so don't expect it to perfectly match to the forecast or what the trays look like! Houston Orthodontic Specialists has good discounts depending on the time of the year. In 2021, I paid 4.5k for 24 months of Invisalign (refiners extended it by 6 months, with no charge). It came with a retainer included in the package.
