I made an appointment to get my 2024 GMC Canyon fixed under warranty. I took it in at 9:10 am for a…read more9:30 appointment. I was told around 2 hours. 3 hours later I went to check on it and they had not even started on it yet. 6-1/2 hours later I called and they couldn't find anyone to talk to me and after being on hold for a very long time, I asked for the manager or the owner. I was told they'd have to find him and he'd call me back. He called and said it's not done and that there were multiple updates that it needed and each one has to be done individually and that's what's taking so long. UPDATE: They called after 5 PM and said it was ready. I picked it up and now the speed limit register on the dash doesn't work. It worked before, but not now. Also the paperwork said it only had one update done for the radio, not multiple updates like the service manager told me. I now have to take it back again for the problem they created or find another dealer that can actually fix it without breaking something else or telling me there were multiple updates when there was only one. I wish there was a competent service department where I could take my truck to get it repaired. This one is NOT it. This is not the first time I've had major problems with them. The man asked what we needed. We advised we were just stopping to look he then made up an excuse about leaving a license plate on a car that he had to come back and get.... he had the plate in his hand when he jumped out of the still moving car!!!!!! I have never been so insulted and terrified in my life. How dare you set your dog to attack us!!!!! RUN from this place! This is NO way to conduct business and had your attack dog made contact with any one of us, I assure you that the woman with the nasty scowl on her face would have had far more to be concerned with!!!!! The service department lied and said that 3 parts failed and I would need to replace all at the cost of $2200. (Module, fuel pump and high pressure pump). Well I'm glad I didn't, all I need to replace was the fuel pump which the part at their cost was $800+, I got it from a parts store for $300ish a replaced myself. Saved $1800 by not falling for their bs. They figured they had me by the b*lls since I was 600 miles away from home and tried to get me. Scammers. This is the type of service department that gives dealerships bad reputations. I was ready to pay for a pump, but to tell me it was both pumps and a module when infact it wasn't is disgusting and I feel bad for everyone who ever uses this service department as I fear they're all being hustled, even if it's for an extra $50.
