So in the summer, instead of sucking in air from the inside of the house, it would be be sucking in 100F air from outside, making the AC inefficient. He took the time to drive to the store to get sealant to fix the leaks inside the intake box, and spent an hour applying the sealant himself. Did not ask for any extra money, did not complain, had a great attitude, and really wanted to make sure that he gave 150% effort to the customer. Then he re-tested the system and the system passed this time showing barely any leakage. Gave us the report and the paperwork needed for the building inspector. If you do your own HVAC upgrade without a city permit, you think you save money by not having to spend money on HERS testing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When it comes to spending money, I'm cheap. I didn't realize that Jason's job is to make sure that the extra money you spend on upgrading your ducts/AC equipment to more efficient equipment is not in vain due to leaks in your ducts A+++ experience with using this company for HERS testing, and will recommend to others to use this company.

The owners Shawn was so incredibly helpful & knowledgeable. He came to inspect our property the next day. We pulled our permits as "owner builder" which was a hard project, but got through it pretty well. However, I had trouble understanding what this report was all about. Shawn totally gave me the rundown on how it worked, sharing so much information with me so I was able to comprehend what was needed. We had a lil hiccup with our report, it required our plans to be modified, which he took the extra steps to help us overcome. The technician did a reasonable job examining our mini-split ceiling register and the outside compressor. The technician was pleasant and courteous. The online certification website where you acquire your permit certificate for download was fast and easy to use, it also costs $50. Mini-split permit certs are definitely easy money. I'd give five stars if it were around $200-$250.

They got me in quickly and I had signed up for a more expensive test, but they let me know that I didn't need that and charge me for the lower report. The install went ok, everyone was professional…read more But now in May of 2026 I have had a few problems with the mini split units they installed, and getting them out to look at or fix them has been not been pleasant, they need to "order parts", they make appoints to come inspect the system and suddenly they are on other jobs. They rarely answer the phone or return messages. I would avoid them in the future if you are going to depend on them for any kind of service for your installed units Update: Turns out the units were faulty because of my dusty house, a through cleaning of the pumps fixed the issue!(Which they did with no charge to me)
