I found Evergreen through my yard guy. I needed to trim three trees and remove some branches I had cut from a tree whose branches fell into the street. They did a very good job trimming the trees to a manageable position as well as dispose of the branches. They also cleaned the area very well. It looks as if no one was there. When I needed my monstrous front yard tree removed I took my time to review the different companies along with getting quotes. Evergreen tree services is the one company that had all around great reviews on all the various sites I looked at (& was recommended by several neighbors). Not only was Oscar punctual about getting back to me, he came and quoted me the same day and he beat his competitor quotes by literally hundreds of dollars. I got a letter from my Association that I need to trim my tree in the front yard. So I called these guys in the morning and the owner, Oscar called me back with a quote which I agreed to pay. They were at my house to trim/prune my tree in the afternoon and was done about an hour or so. Everything was cleaned up and nothing left behind. I talked to Oscar and paid to have my tree and roots removed. They removed the tree but they covered dirt over the roots and told me they removed them. I had to pay another company to remove the roots, and when I called Oscar to tell him what happened, no callback. As an attorney if I delivered service like them I would be out of business. I contacted Oscar for an estimate to remove some trees and he was very efficient in responding to my call and scheduled an appt. and came out and gave me a bid/estimate. He was very professional and I told him I would call him if I was interested in having him remove our trees. I contacted him a few days later and he kindly accepted my request and actually gave me a better price than he first quoted me. Very dissatisfied! We received a quote & now that I've got my permit for tree removal, this company isn't setting up an appointment with me. I contacted them October 12th, they responded October 13th, which was great. On the 13th they said they will notify me when they are able to get out to me. To me, that response was very vague. After not hearing anything from them, I contacted them October 22nd and they haven't responded. Not sure what type of company would behave this way, but it's bery unprofessional and irresponsible. read more

I called and spoke to the owner, Oscar, a month ago for an estimate. He came out that afternoon at the agreed upon time and gave me a fair quote to remove seven large Queen Palm trees in my back yard. A few days later I requested that he also trim the large oak tree I have in the front yard. He was scheduled to come out September 11th at 8:00. He and his crew arrived at 8:00 sharp. By noon you would never know anyone was here, except all seven palm trees were gone and the oak tree was nicely trimmed, removing 30% of its bulky canopy. Oscar and his crew were very careful cutting down the palm trees in sections. They were also highly respectful of my property, and after they left there wasn't really any evidence of them being here. They moved our trampoline and swing out of the way to trim the tree, but since it was in the way, they dragged the branches across our new patio and left scrapes and stains that won't come out after several tries. Then they left these things for us to put back. Also, the trees they trimmed look more like they were hacked at on just one side. My husband tried to contact them but got no response. I feel as if I paid $1150 to have a couple trees trimmed unevenly and a huge mess that I will have to pay to get cleaned. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! read more

Today we had a very tall palm removed and two mature sequoias thinned and topped. The palm was growing in a tight spot right beside power lines, our garage, a glass-walled greenhouse, and the neighbor's house, and the sequoias are part of some delicate landscape with several raised garden beds. Though our impression of Oscar was a strong one when he came to do the bid, we were a little uneasy about things due to the location of the work. All concerns proved pointless once we saw Oscar and his team swing into action. There were big trucks, heavy equipment, and a crew of 6, and it was super impressive how efficiently and skillfully they worked together. They were systematic and steady dropping the palm piece by piece with total precision. No shattered greenhouse, electrocution, or damage to surrounding buildings. : ) Every one of the huge sequoia limbs cut by the climber were roped and carefully lowered in exactly the right place, and after everything was finished, it was like they had never been here. Not a bit of damage to landscape or the garden, all the branches / palm fronds / etc hauled away and chipped, grass and driveway swept and blown... absolute respect for our property and clearly a conscientious work ethic. I should also add that they had to remove a piece of fencing to dig out the palm stump, and this too was done carefully and put back just as it was before, and they didn't try to charge extra. I did not post any reviews after the job was done in September 25, 2017 since there was some issues and I just wanted to see how responsible they would be to their performance. My wife called Evergreen tree to do some tree pruning and stump removal for us. Oscar was very professional and very polite. However, when the crew did the job, they damaged our irrigation lines at a couple of locations. With us not being very much familiar with our newly moved in house, we trusted the crew when they told us that there were one or two locations that the irrigation lines were damaged that they fixed it. I was at work on that day and came home for five minutes to see how the crew was doing. I asked them if they possibly hit the drainage line from our backyard to the curbside. They said no and added that the irrigation line was close to the fence. The next day, I checked the four irrigation lines (zones) that are laid inside the stump removal area. Zone 4 was completely off. My wife called Oscar. He very professionally handled the call. He said his crew had fixed the damaged lines. I sent a text message to him and explained to him that there were four zones that they should have checked them all. I added, it appeared that when his crew repaired that damaged area they did not pay attention and a lot of dirt entered the irrigation line for that zone. Oscar kindly sent somebody to fix the issue. He purged the line and the line became active but he broke a valve on the irrigation control that started leaking significantly whenever irrigation for zone 4 started working. This time I asked my gardener to replace the valve to stop the cycle fixing something and damaging another thing. On that winter (Dec 2017 through Feb 2018), we noticed that the lawn near the stump removal area was getting saturated. I did not pay attention to that until this winter that we had more rainfalls than the previous years. Now, it appears that the drainage line is damaged too. And gain today, April 14 2019, I noticed that right close to one of removed stump area, water was shooting out. I dug the area and I found out that water was shooting out from one of their repair areas (a coupler). I also found the cut piece of the pvc pipe. I will attach pictures of both cut piece and the repaired portion if I can figure out how I can do that. They did a very poor and irresponsible job by cutting 2.5 inches of the pvc pipe and using a 2.5 inch piece (coupler) to repair it. They did a very lousy work on our property and I am very disappointed about not watching them the entire time when they were working on my property. The only positive thing in dealing with Evergreen was Oscar's politeness which did not help end the failure of their repairs. read more

I was having trouble deciding which service to choose to have 2 trees trimmed in my backyard, however, Evergreen Tree Service made it very easy for me. They are registered with BBB and have excellent reviews with an A+ score. They also provided their license and insurance upon request without any problems. In addition, they had the best quote of all services whom provided estimates. They were prompt with arrival and very courteous & friendly. Respectful to the property and displayed effective and efficient work. There was a fig tree that was very messy with a nasty mess on the sidewalk and a huge tree that had leaves everywhere. I was surprised how quickly they were done. They cleaned the sidewalk and all of the leaves, even pulling up some of the weeds in my yard. I was impressed with their work. I would definitely recommend this company. I felt guilty paying them what they requested because they deserved more. I wish I did have more to give them because I would have. Trimmed tree in yard behind us last year and let large limb fall on light post. in our back yard and broke it off at the ground. Did not notify us of the incident, Got owners name from neighbor behind us. Called him. took him 3 days to respond.Stated he would not repair post to its original condition and left. Called him 2 times after that and he was extremely rude each time. We have gotten 2 estimates to fix it. Each was $200.00. Have had no further contact with him. You would hope a business that relies on word of mouth would be more honest than this man. read more

Found Evergreen Tree Service very fair in price and with excellent service. Have a 60' plus Oak tree in the corner of my front yard which needed extensive trimming and also hung over part of my neighbor's house. Got an estimate on Tuesday and tree work completed on Thursday. Trimmed 3/4 of the tree and took care of the huge limb over my neighbor's house. They showed up at 10am and gone job complete 3 1/2 hours later. Weeks later the tree has new growth and should grow in just fine. I've even recommended Evergreen to someone looking for tree service. A very good tree service. read more
