Pine Top motel - this is one of maybe half dozen motel buildings in Swiftcurrent. Others are…read morecabins. The room is comfy but small although nicer than I expected. We had a queen bed, a small table with two dining chairs, one nightstand, and a small stand with two drawers. There is a basic coffee machine, actually the kind I like as it just makes hot water, some coffee and teabags. Very tiny bathroom will fit one person only with a shower stall - good shower water can get too hot in fact if you are not careful. Good heating which is necessary as temps can be cold during the night even in mid June (daytime is in low 50s when we were here). Not a lot of surface to put stuff on. You have the option of not having housekeeping during the stay which we elected - this way we can spread out a bit more. This is the building closest to registration, store (quite well stocked with snacks and sandwiches etc) restaurant (counter order with mostly sandwiches and burgers and breakfast). One level only, center corridor access, plenty of parking in the back. Well located among trees. Only thing is getting here is 12 miles from the town of Babb and one third of that 12 miles half way in is an extremely dusty unpaved gravel road, the kind you won't won't to keep driving in and out on unless you have to. Which means for the time we are staying here, three nights, we decided not to leave the many glacier area since there are plenty of hiking trails here and several more restaurants in the fancier Many Glacier Hotel - about a mile from Swiftcurrent. Wifi is in the service building only, not in motels and cabins. There is no visitor center here but you can get hiking maps and there is a ranger station between the big hotel and Swiftcurrent. Nell's in the same complex is a counter order seat yourself restaurant. Mostly wraps and sandwiches. We had burger and chicken ceasar wrap. Both average as expected. The wrap skin was really tough so just ate the filling which was tasty enough like a salad. Seating might be a problem at peak times but we were able to find a table. They give you a number and bring the order to you. Orders came pretty fast. Tried breakfast here too which is not bad. As park restaurants go reasonable prices.

There wasn't a sig or anything to suggest it was a hotel, but there were quite a few vehicles in the parking lot and we saw people going in. We stopped in and we relieved to find it was lodging and that they had rooms available. We assumed they had just opened. The decor and atmosphere was very bright, clean, and minimalist. The rooms were spacious and furnished with a couch, dresser, large bed, and more. I was even impressed with the basket full of complimentary snacks, and they were lhealthy ones at that!! We always appreciate a room with a refrigerator and this one didn't disappoint. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.! I loved the stone/rock walk in shower. They do offer a coffee bar in the lobby, which hit the spot before we headed out fir another day of exploring Glacier NP. The staff was nice and welcoming. The only downfall was the flooring and the echoing- which can make sound travel if you have guests who are a bit loud, due to family dynamics, size, etc. Otherwise, a nice stay!

The hotel has wonderful rooms, fluffy white towels and fabulous shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion! The Wonderstone is close to the park and convenient to restaurants, gas stations and other stops. Parking is easy and included in your stay.

They have rv spots with full hookups and spots with just electric. They also have cabins and a small B&B apparently. Only a few things that could make this park a little better, in my opinion. 1: a little wider spaces. Although, they are all at an angle which makes it feel a bit more open. They are wider than some parks though! 2: a leash free pet area would be awesome. 3: the nightly fee is high enough that I feel like charging for showers is excessive. So future campers know, it's 50 cents for 10 minutes.

We brought pizza and beer back to the cabin front porch and enjoy the ambiance of cabin living. Yes, it is right off the highway, so yes, a little noisy, but we seriously couldn't pass up the price! Honestly, this was the nicest place we stayed during our vacation out west, and we would love to come back for a week. The cabin was well-provisioned with everything you need, including a fridge, microwave, and TV/DVD (in case it rains?). The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and even romantic. The only drawback for us was that the weather was extremely unseasonably warm, and it took the log cabin a long time to cool down at night (it was in the high 90s and there is no AC). But the ceiling fan did help. Breakfast was delicious. The owner was very friendly and happy to give advice about things to see and do both inside and outside of the park. And the grounds are immaculate. If you want a nice place to stay where you can avoid the noise and crowds, I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at the deluxe chalet for the second and last time this year. Here we go with the tough lesson that took us a second time to learn. The place LOOKS nice all-around. Your first clue that upkeep is not a priority is the second step on the stairs as you walk to the office to check in. It's split almost in half, making getting up the stairs a little dicey. Further on to the deluxe chalet, past lots of nice landscaping, paint is peeling everywhere, and wooden railings seem ideal for splinters. Inside the deluxe chalet, first impressions are nice. It LOOKS attractive. For the second year, the left sink in the full bath linked a LOT on the floor, making it virtually unusable. Though we shared the second sink, the fact that this wasn't fixed from last year seems to speak to the lack of concern for upkeep. There's daily maid service, but it seems to be a minimum. They make the beds, pick up used towels, and empty trash (usually), but they may rely too heavily on the Roomba. The wood floors never seemed clean, to the point where I noticed after walking around barefoot for a while inside, the water under my feet turned black briefly after I started my shower. If you want to sit and relax after a long day at the park, there's satellite TV, but navigating the menus is a mess (probably more DishTV's fault) and the smart TV features on all TVs were maddening to figure out, and never worked once you DID figure them out (partially Vizio's bad design). The wireless internet was reasonable, but note there are two routers with two different passwords. Because why make things simple? The bedrooms LOOK nice (seeing a trend?) but the beds are hard, and the pillows are only a slight step up from the ones airlines used to offer. If you need neck support, you might want to bring your own. Last, there's the overall struggle to be comfortable with the temperature. There's NO air conditioning, so if the outside temp breaks 80, good luck cooling down before nightfall, especially with poor indoor air circulation, even with a ceiling fan in the living room and one in one of the two bedrooms. The afternoon sun BAKES the sun room, and the rest of the time it matches the outdoor temperature, so it might as well be an open-air room. We finally learned the hard way that the premium cost for the deluxe chalet was not worth it for the not-at-all premium and uncomfortable experience. Hopefully this review can save you money, discomfort, and disappointment.
