We had a queen bed, a small table with two dining chairs, one nightstand, and a small stand with two drawers. There is a basic coffee machine, actually the kind I like as it just makes hot water, some coffee and teabags. Very tiny bathroom will fit one person only with a shower stall - good shower water can get too hot in fact if you are not careful. Good heating which is necessary as temps can be cold during the night even in mid June (daytime is in low 50s when we were here). Not a lot of surface to put stuff on. You have the option of not having housekeeping during the stay which we elected - this way we can spread out a bit more. This is the building closest to registration, store (quite well stocked with snacks and sandwiches etc) restaurant (counter order with mostly sandwiches and burgers and breakfast). One level only, center corridor access, plenty of parking in the back. Well located among trees. Only thing is getting here is 12 miles from the town of Babb and one third of that 12 miles half way in is an extremely dusty unpaved gravel road, the kind you won't won't to keep driving in and out on unless you have to. Which means for the time we are staying here, three nights, we decided not to leave the many glacier area since there are plenty of hiking trails here and several more restaurants in the fancier Many Glacier Hotel - about a mile from Swiftcurrent. Wifi is in the service building only, not in motels and cabins. There is no visitor center here but you can get hiking maps and there is a ranger station between the big hotel and Swiftcurrent. Nell's in the same complex is a counter order seat yourself restaurant. Mostly wraps and sandwiches. We had burger and chicken ceasar wrap. Both average as expected. The wrap skin was really tough so just ate the filling which was tasty enough like a salad. Seating might be a problem at peak times but we were able to find a table. They give you a number and bring the order to you. Orders came pretty fast. Tried breakfast here too which is not bad. As park restaurants go reasonable prices.

I'll add after reading other reviews here, we did have a TV and the window shades worked fine to block light and I appreciated that the toilet and shower were separate from the sink so we could all get ready at the same time. **The cons:** For a place that advertises "community engagement," I was surprised at how little there was to actually encourage it--beyond a shared coffee pot in the lobby, we didn't experience anything that fostered "connection among guests". Unless you count knowing way too much about the habits of the people in the room above us. It sounded like someone was walking and dropping things nonstop. It made it hard to relax or sleep, which was disappointing given that's what we paid to do here. Even after complaining and being told the guests had checked out, they placed someone in that room our last night, despite not being fully booked. Our room also lacked basic functionality--there wasn't a single hook for wet towels, which was an issue with three women sharing the space and is a pretty big miss when I'm paying over $450/night. Staff mentioned they'd heard this complaint before, but clearly hadn't made it a priority to fix. All in all, Wonderstone has potential--it's stylish, cozy, and close to adventure. But for the exorbitant cost, I expected a quieter, more functional experience.

We were in the newer building across the street from the main building and check-in was easy through our cell phone like an AirBnB. Our stay was for four nights and overall pleasant. We liked that our room was right across from the lobby with unlimited coffee/tea, a microwave and a fireplace lounge--it was like an extension of our room. We used this space in the evenings to eat our huckleberry pie. The rooms were spacious and overall comfortable, except the bed mattress being very firm. The biggest complaints about our stay match other reviewers. The doors are very heavy and slam easily, sending the sound down the hallway all night long. We could hear every step the guest upstairs made. Soundproofing was a bit issue but thankfully I brought earplugs. The bathroom was clean and spacious, however, the light is on a sensor so we had to rig up a piece of thick paper with tape over it so it would not turn on in the middle of the night. Lastly, there were no towel hooks in the bathroom which was inconvenient. Staff was friendly, parking was plentiful and the bear spray rental machine at the entrance was convenient. Overall a decent stay.

How does a resort minutes outside of a national park have availability during peak season? Oh, let me count the ways. I reserved a group tent site in May 2023 for 2 nights. We talked about the site with the "pond." I mentioned extra people, up to 12 possibly. 4 tents, dogs, extra vehicles including camper vans (Class B). Site 30 is a smallish field with room for dogs to run and a decent amount of people to hangout. (NO POND. That part is false advertising. It's an overflow drainage hole that is now empty and full of debris.) Site 30 is at the end and not surrounded by other sites. It all sounded fine and very possible. We pull in after touring the park all day and the tag says we're in group site 42. I'm already thinking, that's not the right number. Site 42 is supposedly a group tent site and in the middle of other sites. Site 42 doesn't have a single inch of flat space. The parking area is not flat, the tent area is not flat. Keep in mind I originally intended to put 4 tents in the space. No way could this site hold that many tents, vehicles or people that I originally intended to bring. The owner didn't know our numbers had been reduced when we showed up. It's late but we call the office number, and the owner comes to the site. She tells us a larger group also made a reservation and we were BUMPED from 30 and she gave it to them. She tells us we have "giant" vans and usually people don't bring those. Where we parked the vans is where tents should go she said. Again, the space isn't flat enough for tents so we thought we might as well park there. Later on she sees the tents we put up and apparently, they are also "giant." We're travelling with our family. How else do you put 4 or 6 people in a tent unless it's giant? (We'll get to this reasoning.) Did you hear an apology? Yeah, we didn't either. We're pretty frustrated at this point and it's late. Next door to Site 42 are a couple of single tent sites with framed in, FLAT tent areas. Parking is still abysmal, and our vehicles don't fit. We put one van in overflow parking which was actually almost flat. Seriously! Why make overflow parking flat and not the actual site parking areas?!? We set up 1 tent in each space. One van still has to park at an angle on an incline and it doesn't really fit. The mom sleeping in that van didn't do much sleeping at that incline. I didn't get to the party happening in the next sites, yet. Yep, big college-age crowd being super loud until very late also kept our people awake. Kids like this don't drive big camper vans or have big family-size tents. Later we found out from a local, who was nice enough to listen to our story, that this is exactly what TimberWolf is known for: for being the teenage/college hangout site. That's why family-size anything doesn't work at this "resort." The locals rolled their eyes when we mentioned this place and apologized to us that we had to have this experience. Oh! The locals know how to the apologize...the owner, not so much. Next morning, (yes, the story continues) dads and kids are sitting around the campfire finishing up the $6 bucket of wood we purchased the night before. The owner comes around and tells them about the fire restrictions that just went into effect that morning and tells them to put the fire out. She actually tries to tell our dogs to be quite so she could talk. LOL! Does she offer to buy the wood back? NOPE!!! She says, "You had plenty of time to burn the wood last night." No, we didn't because we were moving campsites and trying to get ourselves set up! Does she apologize? NOPE!!! She sent an email, we should have known better. We're camping and vacationing, not reading emails. Was there a sign on the wood pile the night before that said anything about making sure to use it all up that night because of the restrictions the next day? NOPE!!! So, we're quite irritated with all the rude, condescending behavior. (Don't judge all Montanans by this woman. Usually, we're really nice and have awesome customer service.) We also heard comments from another family about their stay being one of the worst experiences they've had. We decide to hit the road and find somewhere else to hangout and camp for another night. The owner finds me and asks me for the # of people, vehicles, dogs, like she's working up a bill. I'm thinking, you're really gonna charge us for this huh? Yep, in addition to my prepayments, she wants more money. When we stop by the office to checkout and find out what she's been up to, she just hands me a receipt and asks for more money. Yes, there were slight discounts. But really, there's no value given at this place. What did I pay for? To be on a hill, get rudely treated, and charged for every little thing.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Some of them even have some of their hand crafted items for sell in the gift/supply shop! The owners have some of their hand crafted pottery available too! Surprisingly, they don't gouge you at all for the supplies available either! That's a huge bonus to me because most places like this seem to do just that! They have rv spots with full hookups and spots with just electric. They also have cabins and a small B&B apparently. Only a few things that could make this park a little better, in my opinion. 1: a little wider spaces. Although, they are all at an angle which makes it feel a bit more open. They are wider than some parks though! 2: a leash free pet area would be awesome. 3: the nightly fee is high enough that I feel like charging for showers is excessive. So future campers know, it's 50 cents for 10 minutes.

Honestly, this was the nicest place we stayed during our vacation out west, and we would love to come back for a week. The cabin was well-provisioned with everything you need, including a fridge, microwave, and TV/DVD (in case it rains?). The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and even romantic. The only drawback for us was that the weather was extremely unseasonably warm, and it took the log cabin a long time to cool down at night (it was in the high 90s and there is no AC). But the ceiling fan did help. Breakfast was delicious. The owner was very friendly and happy to give advice about things to see and do both inside and outside of the park. And the grounds are immaculate. If you want a nice place to stay where you can avoid the noise and crowds, I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at the deluxe chalet for the second and last time this year. Here we go with the tough lesson that took us a second time to learn. The place LOOKS nice all-around. Your first clue that upkeep is not a priority is the second step on the stairs as you walk to the office to check in. It's split almost in half, making getting up the stairs a little dicey. Further on to the deluxe chalet, past lots of nice landscaping, paint is peeling everywhere, and wooden railings seem ideal for splinters. Inside the deluxe chalet, first impressions are nice. It LOOKS attractive. For the second year, the left sink in the full bath linked a LOT on the floor, making it virtually unusable. Though we shared the second sink, the fact that this wasn't fixed from last year seems to speak to the lack of concern for upkeep. There's daily maid service, but it seems to be a minimum. They make the beds, pick up used towels, and empty trash (usually), but they may rely too heavily on the Roomba. The wood floors never seemed clean, to the point where I noticed after walking around barefoot for a while inside, the water under my feet turned black briefly after I started my shower. If you want to sit and relax after a long day at the park, there's satellite TV, but navigating the menus is a mess (probably more DishTV's fault) and the smart TV features on all TVs were maddening to figure out, and never worked once you DID figure them out (partially Vizio's bad design). The wireless internet was reasonable, but note there are two routers with two different passwords. Because why make things simple? The bedrooms LOOK nice (seeing a trend?) but the beds are hard, and the pillows are only a slight step up from the ones airlines used to offer. If you need neck support, you might want to bring your own. Last, there's the overall struggle to be comfortable with the temperature. There's NO air conditioning, so if the outside temp breaks 80, good luck cooling down before nightfall, especially with poor indoor air circulation, even with a ceiling fan in the living room and one in one of the two bedrooms. The afternoon sun BAKES the sun room, and the rest of the time it matches the outdoor temperature, so it might as well be an open-air room. We finally learned the hard way that the premium cost for the deluxe chalet was not worth it for the not-at-all premium and uncomfortable experience. Hopefully this review can save you money, discomfort, and disappointment.

I was late in planning and the only place left I could find near Glacier was a studio at The Evergreen Motel in Corman, just 7 miles from the west entrance to Glacier. To my great surprise I opened the door to my studio to find two queen beds, a very nice sized bathroom and a full kitchen. I mean a full kitchen, full sized fridge, stove, sink, microwave, coffee maker, plates, pots, pans, utensils. Even coffee filters for the coffee maker. I really lucked out finding this place.
