TMS installed a mini-split air conditioning system in my 1,500 square foot cape. The installers…read morewere wonderful and professional, quick and efficient. Unfortunately, the system that we were sold was completely ineffective for our needs. At the end, I feel that the salesperson ripped us off. We were told upfront that the system would be no problem at cooling our house down. Yes, there would be rooms warmer than others, but we understood that. We were told there would be no worries about this doing the job, and that it would "blow away" the window units we were replacing. This was not the case. After discussing our disappointment with the sales person, he changed his tune, condescendingly telling me to "be realistic," and that I can't expect better performance in a cape. Well, why didn't you explain that upfront and give us multiple options and explain the potential risks? Simple: he wanted to make a sale, and did not perform his due diligence. And ultimately, there was a bait and switch. He said we needed a 24,000 BTU unit, but changed it to 18,000 to keep the cost down, assuring me that it would work. I wish we hadn't believed him.

I called this company for a Saturday water heater installation. I provided the brand-new water…read moreheater myself, meaning they only needed to provide the labor. They charged an astronomical flat fee of $2,200 strictly for a few hours of labor--effectively charging me close to $1,000 an hour. To make matters worse, they completely refused to provide an itemized invoice breaking down the charges, masking their inflated prices under a "flat fee." During the installation, the technician was careless and physically damaged my adjacent, separate hot water heater. While he did fix his mistake before leaving, a professional company should not be damaging other working appliances in your home. I emailed the service manager giving them a fair 48 hours to provide an itemized receipt or a partial refund to bring this in line with standard weekend rates, and I was completely ignored. Beware of using this company for emergency or weekend work--they will exploit your situation, refuse to itemize your bill, and damage your property. ********************************************************** UPDATE 9/25/26: After posting my original review and contacting upper management, the office manager reached out to me directly. She was incredibly pleasant, understanding, and professional. We discussed the un-itemized billing and the technician's mistake on site. Management took full accountability and immediately issued a fair partial refund of $1,100 to bring the final cost in line with standard weekend emergency labor. While the initial experience had its issues, I am deeply impressed by this company's integrity and their willingness to make things right with their customers.
