We live in the area and feel so blessed to have this place nearby. We love their tiki masala and garlic naan bread. Everything was delicious

Pinch of spice is the new food cart in the Spring water cart park, formerly known as Cartlandia. We…read moresaw the food truck last time we were in the area. There's not a lot of Indian food trucks so we were very excited to try this new food truck on their menu. They have a variety of options from chicken tikka Rapp to vegetable korma and many other cuisines from India. The two gentleman that waited on us are the owner operators. They were extremely hospitable, and willing to share with us all and answer our questions that we had about the restaurant. We ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Butter chicken and vegetable samosa with garlic naan. The Lamb Rogan was so tender and a literal spice explosion in your mouth . Wow!!!! The heat level was perfect. You can let them know how hot you want it. The Naan came in garlic or cheese. We chose the garlic. Can you say garlicky? It was yummy. If you love naan and you love garlic you'll love this. The butter chicken was smooth, tender and mildly spiced. It was exactly what you would like in the butter chicken. The samosa was very flavorful and packed with vegetables and spices. Honestly, this place trumps all the Indian places we've tried so far. They serve nice size portions they are shareable and the prices are very competitive. This place is a MUST GO EAT spot. If you can go today and tell them I said hello and keep up the good work. Can't wait to go back and try a few other dishes.

I hope it's just getting repaired. Or if you have moved, tell me where you are. I will travel to find you. It's that good!!! Best food in Cartlandia and that's saying a lot. I eat there often.

It would be a good choice for kids who are picky eaters though and just want some noodles. I've seen the momo and it looks great. People seem to like it a lot too, so I'll order that next time I'm willing to try something new. I've always loved momo, just haven't had it from this particular cart and the last several times I tried a new food cart, it didn't go very well.. But the staff are super nice so I want to support their business if possible. Just a heads up if you have a sensitive stomach or are sensitive to fat content - if you get their chai tea with coconut milk, they don't use the kind meant for drinking like you get from a cafe (the kind of coconut milk in a carton). They use canned coconut milk, like you use for cooking, curries, etc., This does make for a creamier and more coconutty drink, but it overwhelmed the chai flavour and gave me a stomach ache most likely due to the high fat content. I'm just not used to drinking 24g fat in one sitting (believe me if I could, I would!). If I'd known they were using canned coconut milk for the dairy alternative, I don't think I would have ordered it. I'm sure the regular chai tea with dairy milk is delicious though, as what I could get out of the spice flavour seemed tasty. I'll update my review next time.

But today, I had the time to swing by and fortunately he was open, but SOLD OUT. Fortunately, he had a few things left over. So I said yes to a mix plate. Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised
