Had a really bizarre experience at this location in particular - a shame given that Everbowl has such delicious bases and bowls! I arrived one day about 5 minutes before close (which, depending on your perspective, could be annoying of me as a customer, and I own that). The young employee working alone was serving a group of 4 ahead of me and asked why I was coming in so late. I apologized and asked if he was already closes, as his "Open" sign in the window was still lit, and he said no, it's fine. He then proceeded to serve the group ahead of me who ordered build-your-own ("Whatever") bowls, and with every ingredient they asked for, he would sigh and shake his head and ask them why they'd come so late in the day. When they went to pay, he told them emphatically, "Never, EVER come in that late again. Do NOT do that again." They looked understandably shocked. When it was my turn (which was quite a while later as service had been slow), I requested two of the same items - Blue Lagoon bowls. He turned to me with an "are-you-kidding" expression and said, "You want TWO bowls? Can't I just make you one?" While I do feel bad for arriving near closing time, I was still so surprised that I and the other customers were made to feel so unwelcome and at fault. I would have understood - and it would have been more reasonable - if he just said he was closing for the day, rather than chastising his customers. Perhaps he was a new hire, perhaps it was a stressful day, and it happens. The bowls were great, but this encounter has kept me from returning to this location ever since. read more

She processed my order very quickly, and it was very well constructed. The taste of the bowl was very fresh! The quality of the fruit is top tier. I also believe that the fruit to base (açaí) ratio was great! I'll definitely return! I ordered the largest bowl size with a Cactus Drink (not good at all but 100% NOT Everbowl's problem), that totaled to $20- but well worth it! The store was promoting the Pumpkin Vanilla Spice bowl or smoothie at everbowl. Nestled within the beautiful Crescent Hotel, you can easily stop in for a bowl, smoothie or coffee loaded with flavors like Açaí, coconut flake, pumpkin, vanilla and more. Fresh fruits and nuts and grains and seeds are there for the choosing by creating your own mix or you can choose some favorites to easy order at the counter. Indoor and Outdoor seating, lid or no lid, small, medium or large are some simple choices but there is a no cash policy so be prepared with the plastic. The decor has a modern yet natural vibe and on the main wall coming in is the wooden word UNEVOLVE. My fantastic barista Austin explained this encapsulates the mission of everbowl as a company wanting to get back to origins in food using ingredients that are healthy and natural and good for you: evolving away from the processed we've become accustomed to in our daily food intake. I like that! Austin allowed me to sample the bases which tastes like a subtle cross between ice cream and gelato. Bowls are topped with oats and fruit and spices. Business was steady but Austin managed to keep me engaged with samples and small talk so that the entire experience was fun. I of course signed up for their loyalty program for the three days I'm here in Dallas and pulling for them to open a store in South Austin so I can try the never ending combinations of goodness. I got the mango/pitaya/blue bases; and the mango was just a little too sweet for my taste but everything else was great. I was looking for a new acai spot after seeing that the Katy trail location of bowldega had closed down. I would say everbowl is a good alternative that doesn't quite beat bowldega interest acai bowls located in downtown Dallas. First of all the acai base is excellent and the fruit is very fresh but that's about it... it cost $3 more to add ANYTHING to the bowl which is why the manager suggests creating your own bowl from the beginning. That's just not the most convenient as I wouldn't want to pay $11 for a small bowl just because I wanted some peanut butter. The ratio of base to toppings isn't great either as I felt like it was mostly granola filling up the bowl and not even a lot of fruit topping. I am still raising it four starts though as it is a nice location and the manager was super friendly and helpful. read more

Their app is also very glitchy and not user-friendly, and despite advertising a free bowl for signing up for rewards, the code they gave me didn't work. I ordered the Chewy medium bowl with the chewy base, because I love peanut butter! It also came with a bunch of banana and coconut on top. My order was ready within a few minutes. The staff inside were super friendly and kind, and the shop is neat and tidy. Unfortunately, this wasn't an amazing acai bowl. The base was flavorless and icy, which isn't my cup of tea. The rest of the bowl was great and I always appreciate when acai bowl shops don't skimp on the toppings! However, improving the base would take this acai bowl a long way. read more
