I would not recommend Events by Sepali to Satan himself. This review is based entirely on my personal experience as a paying client for our May 2025 wedding. I'm sharing it so other couples, especially in the South Asian community, can make an informed decision before trusting this vendor with one of the most important days of their lives. THE SHORT VERSION - If your goal is to: Set your (and your family's) hard-earned wedding savings on fire Add massive stress, confusion, and chaos to what should be a joyful planning process Scramble at the last minute to save your own wedding from someone you paid to help ...then by all means, book Events by Sepali. For everyone else: RUN. TIMELINE & ENGAGEMENT We reached out in early 2025 for day-of coordination for our May wedding. We had already secured our venue and vendors. All we needed was a professional coordinator to pull everything together, manage logistics, and keep the timeline on track. Instead, we got: "Planning calls" that were often late, missed, or rescheduled and NEVER actually productive or involved any planning. Excuses instead of accountability. No clear structure, no detailed plan, and no confidence that anything was actually getting done. UNPRODUCTIVE PLANNING & NO DELIVERABLES Whenever we asked for something concrete, like a finalized timeline or vendor coordination details, we were: Given "homework" that felt like busywork, not meaningful progress Asked for things that weren't urgent priorities Left feeling less confident after each interaction MONTHS went by with: No real timeline No confirmed day-of plan No introductions to any "team" members that were kept being referenced No vendor calls or proactive coordination TWO WEEKS OUT: CRISIS Less than two weeks before our wedding: No vendor introductions (because they were never contacted) No communication with our full vendor team No confirmed day-of staff (because there was no staff) After I privately and respectfully raised serious concerns, we were told that, after an internal "team discussion," it would be best for her to remove herself from our wedding and issue a full refund. This decision came DAYS before our events. THE REFUND THAT NEVER HAPPENED (IN FULL) What followed over the next six months was: Delays and excuses A strange "$1 test" Zelle payment instead of promptly issuing the actual refund Repeated promises with no meaningful follow-through As of writing this review, we still have not received the full refund she agreed to provide. In my opinion, walking away at the eleventh hour and then failing to honor that commitment shows a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. INDUSTRY & COMMUNITY FEEDBACK After this experience, we spoke with other vendors and former clients and heard similar stories: Overpromising and under-delivering Last-minute chaos "Sepali is always the last vendor in, first vendor out" Reliance on loosely assembled, ad hoc help instead of a consistent, trained team We also learned some vendors are hesitant to speak publicly because they rely on referrals. That alone is telling. From our vantage point, the "team" did not appear to be a stable professional staff. We heard about freelancers and even requests to "borrow" staff from other vendors, completely misaligned with what you expect when hiring a professional coordinator for your wedding. THE REAL COST Because of this situation: We had to scramble and hire new, unvetted coordinators, communicate with vendors, and hastily put together a timeline at the last minute at a higher cost. In fact our total costs for the wedding went by 30%, AT LEAST, due to Sepali's action's alone. We endured completely avoidable stress in the days leading up to our events We lost both time and money dealing with someone who, in our experience, did not deliver on promises and did not resolve the situation appropriately And based on my personal experience, think very carefully before trusting this vendor with your wedding We trusted her with our day. She exited at the last minute, did not make things right, and left us to fix the damage ourselves. Couples deserve better. Families deserve better. Your wedding is too important to risk. FINAL VERDICT If you are considering Events by Sepali: Just dont, stop and walk - RUN. You are better off letting an intern or high school volunteer use your big day as a capstone project for free. People like Sepali that cause this much pain to a newly married couple deserve to burn in the reddest fire in hell. read more

Sepali is very unprofessional . Her dismissive attittude harms the moral of employees, causing her staff to feel undervalued and discouraged. This negative atmosphere tehn leads to poor customer satisfaction, since unhappy employees fought to provide good service. In general, the business sufferes because poor management and late compensation. She goes months without paying her employees. Fixing these problems is vital for future growth. read more

Sepali and her team helped us with our three-day Nepali-Hindu wedding in February and I've been trying to come up with the words to describe how INCREDIBLE their coordination and support was ever since! Sepali was the first person we booked during the wedding planning process and she connected us to a whole host of vendors plus venues. We could not have been happier! This network is a solid team of individuals that really care about delivering the best wedding possible! Process: Planning started about a year in advance and throughout the year, I loved our weekly phone calls! We each had our lists of questions and action items to run through with each other and that helped our process move forward. Sepali worked with all of our vendors behind the scenes and had regular conversations with them that she'd update us on during our scheduled calls. She was there for us for all our questions throughout the week and especially as we got closer to our wedding. Closer to our wedding week, Sepali connected with a number of vendors to bring our vision of having a custom Kathmandu/Nepal skyline for our Sangeet to life! She was pivotal in making this happen. During the wedding: Sepali and her team of assistants (shout out to Radhika, Dee, and Neha!) took care of us from A to Z. Literally making sure we were fed (bringing us plates of appetizers and dinner), hydrated, sleeping, taking all the photos we'd wanted to take, and so much more. It was like being taken care of by friends! One of the moments I will be most grateful to them for is during our wedding ceremony, there was a misunderstanding with the priest for bridal/groom entrances and exits. Sepali and her team leapt into action to resolve this and allow me to make a second bridal entrance with my closest friends/family plus dhol which resulted in one of the sweetest memories. I am almost 6 months late writing this review- but better late than never. I am so glad that my husband and I decided to work with Sepali for our wedding! I only booked her for a 3 month planning package but I loved that we had weekly calls (from the minute we booked) to make sure that we were on track with booking our vendors and planning out wedding. She was easy to communicate with, responded to our messages in a timely manner, and always positive & encouraging during stressful times. We were really happy that she also did an amazing job with vendor coordination and our timeline -(in fact-we were ahead of schedule for both our wedding & reception). Although I did not love my bridal attendant for the day (she disappeared on me a few times when I needed my make up touch up or needed her for some things) both my husband and I were super pleased working with her staff Kim! First off, I want to say that Sepali's day of team was quite good. The people actually on the ground, supporting us were attentive and knew what they were doing. We went with the month of coordination option. I'm sure if you go with a more expensive option, Sepali will do a better job for you. I don't think they'll post a review but there seems to be a theme here. Sepali is a great salesperson. She gives a good pitch, and in the early days of planning, when it didn't really matter, she set up weekly calls with us and sent us examples of her previous work that looked really detailed and gave us a good idea of what we needed to do. My biggest gripe is that when it really mattered, the month before the wedding, Sepali stopped responding to messages promptly, didn't seem to actually follow up with vendors and align on details, didn't seem to remember details of our wedding, and just didn't do what she said she was going to do when she said she was going to do it. It was clear she had other clients who were paying her more that took precedence. Example 1. Sepali was supposed to host a meeting with both sets of parents to run through the timeline and details for the wedding day. She hadn't prepped for the meeting at all, despite the fact that we had provided her all the requested info weeks in advance. In fact, she only shared materials that I, the groom, had put together and clearly hadn't even read it all. Imagine paying someone else to do something for you and they share your work and aren't even familiar with it. Example 2. The week of the wedding, the timeline document, which is supposed to be the one source of truth for everything that's supposed to happen that day, which she or her team are supposed to complete, wasn't finished and when she said she finished it, it wasn't correct. I had to get into the document myself to fix it for her. Example 3. She didn't speak with the priest about the specifics of the wedding ceremony. She claimed she knew the priest well and had already spoken to him weeks in advance. A day or two before the wedding, the priest let us know that he hadn't spoken to her at all. I called her to ask her to iron out details and she reassured me that she would, and again claimed that she already had spoken to him. The day of the wedding, the priest tried to make a bunch of last minute changes, including moving the ceremony up by 30 minutes, before all the guests had arrived. This could be the priest going rogue, but to me it is the responsibility of the coordinator to make sure they are aware of the plan for the day and that they make sure all parties involved adhere to the plan. I brought up all these issues with Sepali and she has neither apologized, nor acknowledged that she messed up. read more

This is a really hard review for me to write, and its been a long time coming. overall, our events to the outside probably looked okay, but there were some major things that went wrong. As you could imagine, if you plan your wedding for months (close to a year) and have a vision and that doesn't happen it could be very upsetting. Good things about using this company is that there were multiple phone and zoom meetings before, so if you want facetime with your coordinator ahead of time, this is a good option for you. It was an affordable option, but looking back I probably should have just paid more for another team. I was however happy to see that there were multiple people from the coordinator team I hadn't met before working the wedding, and they were kind and professional. We got the 1 month coordination plan, which is usually sold as the month of your wedding your coordinating team takes over. The month leading up to our wedding was extremely stressful - up until 2 weeks before my wedding I had multiple vendors asking me details about paperwork, the venue and arrival time. There was a confidential document with specific instructions on some of the vendors. It was a confidential document that was not meant to be seen by the vendors and it was emailed out to everyone. This meant 3 days before my wedding while attending my own wedding events, I'm downloading, converting, and editing a PDF and texting multiple vendors to make sure none of the relationships were ruined and all of the vendors were happy. Then we got to our first Friday event - we were super excited about our venue's large windows with a view of the water and sunset. Our diagram submitted to the venue and coordinator team was blatantly ignored, and a backdrop was incorrectly placed across the windows, blocking the best part of the venue. One of the coordinators was super kind and said she could get it taken down and put back up within 20 minutes - I appreciated the effort to get this done but by the time they completed it, it was 50 minutes later, the sun had set, and our event was running behind because we couldn't let anyone into the ballroom. Wedding morning always is going to be filled with nerves which is normal. However, I sent detailed instructions in writing 3 weeks before my wedding with expectations of what should be ready in the bridal suite (bridesmaids gifts laid out, robes steam pressed) and came in wedding morning with absolutely nothing done. Its totally fine if this is not the role of the coordinators or they run out of time - but this was never communicated to me so I did not have a chance to delegate to someone else. Because none of this was ready, my bridesmaid and getting ready photos were rushed, and we were once again off schedule. After all of the morning activities, when it was time to get ready for the processional - I was the one who watched the clock and prompted the coordinator that it was time to start moving to line up for an on-time ceremony. Overall the reception program ran smooth, but a huge aspect of decor was the uplights and overall lighting of the hall. After many months of planning with the team, I thought it was clear the color schemes we wanted (which was in writing) but one of our vendors used the incorrect color scheme. I know this is not the responsibly of the coordinators themselves if another vendor got the color scheme wrong - but I thought I would have someone advocate for my vision that had been discussed for months. On top of that, I was very clear that the chandeliers were to be on 100% of the time, and one of the coordinators turned them off (the whole draw of that ballroom was the chandeliers). After months of planning with one time, I thought they would advocate and execute all of the details, and while some of the details were executed just fine, others were brushed over. I know every wedding will have its ups and downs, and I still have endless positive memories of my wedding weekend. However, there were some pretty big things that went wrong with little apology for those mistakes. I know life happens and all of vendors are human, but after this experience I did unfortunately find other couples who had things go wrong with the same company. There were some members of the coordinating team who I only met for the first time that weekend, and I do thank them for their kindness and doing the best they could with the information that was given to them. read more

They made everything so easy for myself, Harneel and our families esp given fact this was one of the first few Indian weddings at the wedding sites.   My sikh wedding took place in my hometown near Solvang. This meant all my vendors were from out of town/country. As we started planning a year before the wedding Sepali kept me on track of what needs to be done every month and week. We had weekly zoom calls with her personally and she gave the best vendor recommendations! I am so happy Sepali was my wedding planner. She was professional, organized, helpful, kind and hardworking. She did a fantastic job at coordinating and communicating everything. Over the last year, Sepali has basically done everything for my wedding and I could not be more grateful. O-M-G we were SO happy with this, and there were takeout boxes of food in our rooms for after the night! - Most importantly, we ran ON TIME...for an Indian wedding, that NEVER HAPPENS - and actually, the ceremony was done 30 minutes early! I give full credit to Sepali for making sure everything was prepped, people knew where to be, and this gave me a chance to get more photos on the mandap with my family, which was such a pleasant surprise. Sepali and her team were an absolute dream to work with. Long story short she came on board our wedding planning journey in February 2021 after our prior planner fell through. From the beginning, Sepali was proactive at helping us contact vendors and would even attend meetings/review contracts to make sure we asked all the right questions/didn't forget anything. There are not enough words to describe the experience I had working with Sepali for my wedding. My to-be husband was overseas at the time of the prep, classic groom move. And my wedding being the first one in the state, my parents hadn't a clue on how to process it all, and my in-laws being Hispanic were also clueless on Indian weddings and the lengthy, detail process it involved. Sepali was my guardian angel sent to rescue us all and the only person who made me feel like I am the bride-to-be and got me excited for the wedding. Until I met Sepali, I was ready to postpone it all and wait until Chris (my hubby) came home to help. She guided me through every step, encouraged me to look into things I hadn't thought about. She is very meticulous, observant, punctual, definitely very detail oriented, easy to get along with and most importantly patient with all age groups. Her patience and ever smiling face brings such joy to work with her.Budget was very important for our wedding, so I appreciate her for working with our needs and never being pushy for her personal interests. Her priority is definitely the bride and the groom, their wishes and then the family's wishes.We hired Sepali for garba, wedding and reception and every event was right on schedule. For wedding, initially we thought we won't have time for lunch and would have to head back to the hotel to get ready for reception but to my surprise, we were 30 minutes ahead of schedule which gave us enough time to meet the guests and eat. Our decorator had apparently forgotten to leave the centerpieces we had requested for a luncheon which I noticed as the baraat is walking into the mandap. I started to panic and told one of Sepali's team member who was my bridal assistant. Right away both are communicating to the vendor, while managing other vendors, baraat, dj and onsite staff and made sure the vendor came back and brought the centerpieces. Thededication her and her team have shown is just beyond my expectations. Even during the reception there were some plans left to the day of how we felt, and she never hesitated on anything and remembered everything we had talked about. I was to sing during the reception, but my voice was so out that I decided not to. It was something we hadvaguely talked about, but she had made a note of it so after the speeches when we sat down, she came and asked if I was still up to it, something that I know I hadn't thought about. Furthermore,the décor when I entered the venue was not to my expectations and what we had discussed with the decorator. We were very much looking forward to the reception of all events and when I saw the disaster, I just could not hold back the tears. I feel blessed to have had been surrounded by Sep and her team, my photographer, videographer, the DJ who all came through and tried to do all they could to make it look as good as possible in the time we had. I could not have asked for a better team.Moreover, to our surprise she and her team somehow managed to have champagne, cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries in our suite upon our return after everything was over and we had no idea how it got there. And they also packed all our food from wedding and reception w/o our knowledge that we were pleasantly surprised to find in our fridge the next morning. And thank God she did because we certainly devoured it all :) These are the qualities that makes you want to have Sepali for your events. In 2021, it was time for my brother's wedding and my sis-in-law right away reached out to Sepali. Unfortunately, she wasn't available at the time, but God had other plans. Luckily, we hadn't booked anyone else and Sepali came through for us. I know I was already at ease with all the wedding plans because we knew now we have nothing to worry about For future, I would not mind having my events based on Sepali's availability and schedule just so we can have the worry-free, fun-filled events :) Lastly, my sincerest apologies to Sep and her hard-working team for taking so long to do this review that you and your team very well deserved. Hands down the best salsa's I've ever had. I've tried many different flavors and they're all fantastic. The spice and salt levels can also be adjusted upon request which makes it even better. Trust me, all you have to do is do taste comparison between store bought salsa's and a salsa prepared by Sep and you'll be convinced! These salsa's also make for truly unique and thoughtful gifts. After tasting the habanero salsa, I am finding myself searching the house for ANYTHING to eat with it so that I am not eating salsa alone by the spoonful. This salsa is the best! I ran out of tortilla chips and I just had some salsa with papad, a wafer-thin indian crisp, and my mouth did its own happy dance. I bought cilantro chutney and roasted garlic a week ago and I am so ready to go back and buy more! It is just soo great, you cant not love it! First of all, the salsa tasted soooo fresh! You can see/taste/smell the ingredients in the sauce and feel the healthiness! I also love that the cilantro Chutney has a kick to it (I think it is from Serrano pepper?) Also, my parents are visiting from China, they love the sauces. My husband grew up in the OC, he loves the sauces. We use it as dipping sauce, noodle sauce, sandwich spread, anything really!
