Sheila was my day-of-coordinator for my wedding and I am so glad I went with her! She gives zero judgements because she talks to you like an old friend, but she always provides feedback on how to make your plans/suggestions better and she always looked out for my guests. She was able to work with my venue to get an earlier entry time and she was even able to convince them to set up some rows of chairs for our indoor ceremony! There were so many things that didn't go according to plan, but Sheila was very creative in changing up the timeline to ensure we were on time! To top it off, she made sure my husband and I always had a drink in hand LOL Hire Sheila, you won't regret it!!

Sheila was our wedding planner and we can't say enough good things about her. We had our wedding at the Vineyard at 37 High Holly in North Carolina and it was an absolutely perfect day. Her communication with our vendors was thorough and professional and our vendors said that they loved working with her, too. On the day of we were both very nervous, but Sheila went above and beyond to make sure we were stress free and that we enjoyed the day, which meant so much to us. The whole day flowed so smoothly! We absolutely recommend her services.

My husband and I got married a few months ago (so this review is slightly overdue!), and Sheila was our wedding planner. Summary: Our wedding day was AMAZING! Sheila was a great planner for the following reasons: 1. Planning Process: I hear other's talk about wedding-planning horror stories, and I have to say our wedding planning process was FAR from a horror! Sheila helped simplify options (because there are SO many!), made the perfect recommendations and handled all negotiations and contracts (not my favorite part at all so this was extremely helpful!). 2. Wedding Day = BEAUTIFUL! Everything looked so pretty. Right before I walked down the aisle, I walked through the reception hall. (This was the most discrete way to get to the ceremony location.) I was so focused on getting to the ceremony that it didn't even occur to me that I would be seeing the reception hall in final form. As soon as I walked in, the set up took my breath away. It was such an awesome feeling to be so caught up in my nerves, but then see how beautiful our kings tables, flowers, centerpieces and sweetheart table all looked! It put a big smile on my face right before walking out to see my groom. :) 3. Stress-Free: Sheila kept reminding me as we got closer to the wedding to not stress or worry about anything because she would take care of it. And so, while not worrying about anything a week or two out is probably almost impossible for any bride, I have to say exactly three days from the wedding I literally stopped worrying about everything, ha! Sheila assured me that she'd handle everything, and she did. Things went smoothly on the day of the wedding! 4. FUN! We had SO much fun. I mean, I shouldn't speak for others, but I know I had so much fun! The venue was beautiful; we stayed on schedule; and the vendors were all organized! Everything just came together so well, and Sheila did such an amazing job with making sure this all happened. Our wedding was so beautiful, fun and stress-free. If anyone is considering hiring a wedding or event planner, you should definitely consider hiring Sheila Dizon... In a word, Sheila is AMAZING - and indispensable to helping you organise your perfect event. While the initial cost of a wedding planner may seem high, the benefits you gain from having one are priceless... sanity, peace of mind, and absolute confidence that everything will turn out exactly as you envision. My husband and I hired Sheila to help plan our Vows Renewal celebration in Napa. Having attempted to plan a wedding on my own once before (and suffering a nervous breakdown in the process), I knew the enormity of the task - so 5 years later, with the addition of an active 2 year old to care for, I knew I would need some extra help. I met Sheila randomly at a Wedding Fair, and we clicked instantly - Sheila was friendly, personable, genuine, and I knew right away that I wanted her to help me plan my wedding. At the time of the initial meeting, we hadn't decided on ANYTHING - mainly because my husband and I had such different ideas on everything. That's where Sheila stepped in, as mediator, negotiator, and organizer. Taking into account our taste and budget, she organized all our venue site tours, the tasting, the DJ, the strings, the flowers, my hair and make-up artist, table decorations, tree lanterns, toiletry baskets, wedding favors, the rehearsal, the timeline, AND came with me to all my dress fittings! Sheila was such an invaluable resource during the entire planning process, as she has such a wide network of vendors, and each time I realised I was missing something, Sheila came to my rescue with a list of recommendations. She came to the rehearsal in Napa the night before the wedding, then drove back to San Francisco in order to pick up my flowers early next morning and bring them to Napa. On the day of the wedding, I was so relaxed, as I knew that Sheila and her team would take care of everything, and ensure that all vendors knew where to go, and that everything was in place at the right time. The entire wedding day was perfect, everything ran smoothly, and Sheila was by my side each time I needed her - whether it was to hand me my jacket, re-apply my lipstick, bustle my dress, or change my shoes (I had 3 pairs!). And I forgot to mention that Sheila is GREAT with kids! By around 9:00pm, our 2yr old was tired and cranky, so Sheila took him outside and sang/ rocked him to sleep, so my husband could come back to enjoy the party! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Sheila - she has been our friend, confidant and personal assistant over the last 6 months, and I will certainly miss seeing her so often. As another reviewer stated, she does not set limits on the number of meetings, calls, or emails - she always has time for you, and responds to all messages very promptly. Sheila, it's been such a pleasure working with you - you have my highest recommendations, and I'm so glad I ran into you at that wedding fair back in March! :)

There are absolutely no other words to describe Sheila and Event Solutions other than PERFECT. Over the weekend, I got to marry my best friend and everything I envisioned for an intimate destination wedding came alive in front of my eyes. Living in LA and planning to get married in San Francisco was a bit tough. Sheila was highly recommended to me by my wedding venue as an approved vendor. From the day I contacted her until the day of my wedding, there wasn't a single thing she missed. She wasn't just my Wedding Coordinator - she was my Florist, my Caterer, my PERSON every step of the way! From the chairs, the table linens, cake & flowers, colors that I wanted (despite my stress overload) - she calmed me down and made it all happen! No matter how big or small your wedding is, having a coordinator like HER will make you realize how much you need one on such a special day. We were able to RELAX and ENJOY every second of our wedding bliss thanks to Event Solutions and that to me, is what matters most when hiring someone. Sheila is the absolute BEST investment I made as a bride for my wedding. Not only is she extremely organized, incredibly creative, unbelievably talented, but she's also VERY passionate about what she does and it, undoubtably, made working with her that much more amazing. My now husband and I spent a weekend with Sheila about 5 months before our wedding day to visit venues after a major fall out with our first destination (we're from Cincinnati) and she went FAR above and beyond to make sure that 1. we found our perfect venue, 2. we stayed within our budget, and 3. that we got to EXPERIENCE San Fran while we were in town. From there, she was constantly checking in, following up and making sure this moment, our wedding day, was absolutely PERFECT (down to every last detail) and so so so memorable. Her vendor suggestions were ON POINT (and truly genuine suggestions to fit our personalities and wedding expectations) and Sheila also did our bouquets and boutonnieres (because, YES, she's THAT amazing), which were breathtaking! Sheila is a visionary within the realm of event planning and I couldn't be more grateful to have had her be such a special part of our big day. Love you so much, Sheila!

However, a few months before the wedding I was so overwhelmed with all the detail that Brenda offered to meet and she just helped me organized my priorities and made me feel really good about the progress I had made. She did the same 6 weeks later. OMG, so helpful to keep me going and manage the overwhelm. As the date grew nearer, she started leading more to ensure we took care of those horrible details (seating charts, signage, communication with vendors, table set ups, and the timeline, etc). At every moment she was calm, lovely, relatable, fun, reassuring, and extremely competent. The week before the wedding she came over and took ownership of all the "stuff" (candles, ceremony items, decorations, etc). That felt sooo good. She was great at the rehearsal and made sure "all the cats were herded"so we got through the rehearsal and worked out all the details. The day of the wedding? We were so relaxed and didn't think about a single thing. The tables were set exactly as we had discussed, the ambiance was amazing, every little detail she had taken care of. and then she cleaned up and stored everything for us and then brought it back to us a couple of days later. During the wedding, Brenda was a total ninja....I barely saw her at the wedding as she was in the background making it all happen so we could enjoy our guests. A guest even took a picture of her that makes her look like the super hero she is, LOL! You will LOVE working with Brenda. I cannot recommend her more vigorously. She is amazing.

I had a very positive experience working with TDE. It was easy to schedule a free consultation,…read morewhere we first spoke with Otis, and could ask many questions up front before deciding to move forward. Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. I highly recommend TDE and the team that we worked with! Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience.

In our search for the vendors we found My City Hall Wedding which happened to be perfect for us. They provided a full package that included highly rated professionals - from hair/makeup stylist to photo/video. Instead of communicating with 5 different vendors we worked with 1 single point of contact - Tej from My City Hall Wedding. She guided us through everything we would need on our wedding day - hair, makeup, flowers, limo, photo and video. All in one single package. Tej helped me chose a hair and makeup style as well as flowers. And we completed trusted MCHW with their choice of photographer and videographer - look at their website - the images speak for themselves. On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly without a single worry. Our stylist was on time and was great. The florist delivered the flowers to our hotel room. The car was waiting for us, the photographer and videographer met us at the entrance of the City Hall and guided us through the whole process. Can't thank Josef (our photographer) for incredible photos. Alex - the videographer - captured very intimate and personal moments. Can't thank My City Hall Wedding and everyone involved enough. I have heard lots of stressful wedding stories and have been to a few of these myself. That was not our experience.

**UPDATE**: Lisa is now threatening me with LEGAL ACTION, accusing me of "defamation" when I've…read moreonly shared my honest experience on Yelp. I've had no updates from Lisa since our last email on Feb 21 (over a month ago). At that time, she replied she was consulting with "industry experts" and will get back to me. Rather than reaching out to me personally she hired a lawyer to threaten me in the hope I will take my honest review of my experience with Blooming Wed down (photo of legal letter attached). I signed a wedding planning contract with Lisa and found myself needing to terminate it merely two months later. The process has been incredibly stressful and disheartening. Throughout it, I had the opportunity to meet with ~15 wedding planners both domestically and internationally, and gained a lot of insight into the wedding planning industry and contract nuances. I'll start my review with objective observations and end with my personal experience. **Strict Signed Contract** Lisa's contract is one of the strictest planner contracts I've ever seen. It does not have an Act of God clause that protects clients, meaning if anything happens (the venue is destroyed, a hurricane comes, the couple is sick, pandemic round 2...etc) she will not refund for any reason. She did not even give out refunds during COVID. This leaves her clients extremely vulnerable to unforeseen circumstances. **Problematic Payment Structure** This is how Lisa's payment is structured: flat $15k fee or 15% of the total wedding cost, whichever is higher. It's not unheard of for a planner to request payment this way, but it's incredibly uncommon. This arrangement creates a conflict of interest, as it may incentivize steering clients toward pricier options. Also, she requires 50% upfront, while many planners I talked to only required 30%. **Budget Transparency** Lisa's services are not for budget-conscious clients, or even clients who have a budget at all. In the two months she was my planner, she failed to provide any estimated vendor costs and we never talked about my budget. I specifically asked her for a sample cost breakdown of a venue and waited a month for her response. I never received it. All of the other wedding planners I met with sent me a cost breakdown for FREE immediately after the intro call. They did this without being asked to. **Communication Challenges** I've experienced a lack of responsiveness from Lisa during our entire two months together, from our initial interest form (1 week delay) to our most recent email on which she said she would consult about our partial refund request (it has been a month without an update from her). Between her vacations and other wedding clients, I never felt my project was a priority for her. **Personal Experience** I'm deeply disappointed with the services provided by Lisa. Our decision to terminate our contract was difficult. Due to immigration issues, my father can no longer enter the USA in the foreseeable future so my partner and I have to relocate our wedding to a country unfamiliar to Lisa, rendering her services impractical. We signed our contract November 2023, encountered this problem in January 2024, and immediately let Lisa know of our situation. Despite our efforts with Lisa to find a amicable solution and many touch-points with her, my partner and I eventually landed on requesting a partial refund. Lisa refused to refund any portion of the $7.5k , even though it is written into our contract that she has the power to do so AND despite her agreeing verbatim that she did not provide $7.5k worth of service. At this point we have no date (we were considering years 2025/6/7), no venue, no vendors booked. We don't even have a budget breakdown. We have only had one venue tour with Lisa. It's evident that she has only completed a fraction of the work (2% to be exact), yet insists on keeping the full payment. I dislike posting a one-star rating to a small business, but I feel the need to be transparent and caution future clients about Lisa. It is crucial to choose a wedding planner who demonstrates flexibility, understanding, and a willingness to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately, Lisa's refusal to adapt to our situation and the issues outlined above do not align with her premium pricing. For me, Lisa has broken my trust and it feels like theft that she is keeping $7.5k for one hour of work. I urge potential clients to consider these factors carefully before engaging Lisa's services.

Hands down the best decision we made for our…read morewedding - Lisa helped my now-wife and I plan our wedding which took place in the fall of 2023 at Nestldown. Firstly, she knows Nestldown through and through as a venue - it has a bunch of uncommon and often difficult to navigate rules and restrictions. This meant that we didn't have to worry about surprise venue fees or fines, and instead could focus our attention on how we wanted to use the space instead. Lisa set month-by-month goals for us, which meant we were always confident that we were on track and didn't forget about certain things. This made the process so much less stressful for the both of us. She handled communicating with and following up with all of our vendors too - a blessing that can't be understated. Wedding planning is a constant stream of decision-making, which Lisa made so much easier by listening to our wants and needs and suggesting vendors, designs, timelines, hotels, and so much more. She made it so that our responsibility was to choose between a few, generally all great options rather than having to sort through the unlimited amount of choices. As an aside, Lisa has impeccable taste and knew how to execute our vision better than we could have dreamt of. We're still in love with our table settings! We were most impressed by the wedding day itself - Lisa managed all the stress of logistic so we could enjoy the day without a care in the world. Sometimes we could hear time-pressed questions being asked by vendors over the walkie-talkie, and Lisa responding to each of them expertly. None of those logistical challenges ever made it to us - and while with us, she and her team were focused on ensuring we had everything we needed and were having a good time. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and everyone had an amazing time!
