We were…read moreactually one of those couples who originally planned to elope because we were worried a wedding would be overwhelming, stressful, and filled with hidden costs. Looking back now, choosing Vista Lago was one of the best decisions we made because they made the entire process feel so easy, seamless, and genuinely enjoyable from beginning to end. One of the biggest highlights was having a day-of coordinator INCLUDED in the package. Since she works directly with the venue, she knew absolutely everything top to bottom -- the timeline, vendors, setup, flow of the evening, and every behind-the-scenes detail. We never had to answer questions, solve problems, or stress about what came next because she already had everything handled before we even thought about it. We truly got to be fully present and enjoy our wedding day. The staff also went above and beyond all night long. They continuously brought us hors d'oeuvres, drinks, dinner, and cake so we actually got to enjoy all the amazing food during the wedding. At the end of the night, they carefully packaged all of our leftovers and even saved the top of our cake for us before we left. Those thoughtful details meant so much to us. The venue was beautiful, the service was incredible, the pricing was fair, and there were no surprise fees or last-minute issues. Everything was transparent, organized, and handled with so much care. We felt so taken care of throughout the entire experience and are beyond grateful to the Vista Lago team for giving us such an unforgettable wedding day

This was five years before Miami was even a city. It is the oldest civic group in Miami. Aware of the feeling of isolation that pioneer women could feel in the area Flora wanted a place where women could find fellowship and camaraderie. The club was created with the goal of "community uplift," which was achieved through fundraisers that paid for needs in the community. The club motto was "lend a hand". The promoted literacy and education. Their first project was to raise the money in 1894 for a Sunday school which later became the historic Plymouth Congregational Church. The Woman's club became the social hub of the city holding concerts, parties, and performances. Through the years they supported important causes like preserving the Everglades, a library, a girls ranch, cancer survivors, teaching children to swim, and canine companions.
