We had a party yesterday and used Long Island Tent to set up a 20' x 30' three-sided tent with 6…read moreround tables inside, 2 outside and two buffet tables plus chairs and 2 fans. Cristian, Milton & Manuel did the setting up and they were very pleasant and easy to work with and assisted in making good placement decisions. The tent was in fine condition as were the tables and chairs. There was a very windy rainstorm the night before our event and we were concerned the tent would be blown down and everything would be wet. Not only was the tent still in perfect condition but nothing was wet. We would definitely use them again and we recommend them. My only complaint was that they had a large set up before us so they came late. We wish the office had contacted us to let us know that they would be arriving after the given window.

Astatically, everything looked good, however, the tent had holes which allowed water to infiltrate the festivities. Rainwater fell on the cake, cake table, my main table and chairs, the dance floor, the photo staging areas, on guest heads, along with other areas because of the holes in the tent and the poor gutter technology. The two gutter systems collected water but did not funnel the water away from the inside of the tent. The gutters became filled with water, drooping/hang down within the tent. Finally, they overflowed with water inside the tent, disrupting the event. The staff had to push the water up and forward from the gutters by directing the water away from the inside of the tent. Out of the three commercial heaters rented, one connection was faulty and allowed for propane to leak. So, we were not able to use the one heater because it was unsafe. The LED bar lights were not charged properly, nor were we given the cord(s) to charge them up ourselves, which did not allow us to use the light features. I had the following products within my package listed below. I had 100 guests and about 20 staff members. * Two 10 X 30 CLEAR TOP FRAME TENT - $1,100.00 * One 40 X 60 CLEAR TOP FRAME TENT - $2,900.00 * 240 FEET OF CLEAR SIDEWALLS (FULLY ENCLOSED) - $600.00 * Two 30' GUTTER * LIGHTS: BISTRO PACKAGE (EXTENSION CORD NOT INCLUDED) - $520.00 * 10 TABLES: ROUND: 72" LINENS NOT INCLUDED - $120.00 * One TABLES: BANQUET: 96" LINENS NOT INCLUDED - $15.00 * 100 CHAIRS: GARDEN-WHITE WITH PADDED SEAT (DELIVERED STACKED UP) $300.00 * Three HEATER: 80,000 BTU'S COMMERCIAL (PROPANE NOT INCLUDED) - $375.00 * One BAR: LED - $250.00 * TOTAL: $6,713.03 I am not sure why Long Island Tent & Party Rentals did not test the tent to ensure all holes were fixed so water would not get into the tent. I'm not sure why the connectors were not tested for the heaters. And, I am not sure why the cord was not sent with the LED Bar lights to ensure they were adequately charged. I explained to the company my reasoning for getting the tent was because of the dip or drop in the temperature during the night, and the forecasted rain on the day of the event. Nonetheless, I voiced to the company the issues listed above, and I was compensated for the one heater. I felt unheard when I spoke on the lighting issue with the LED bar, and I felt dismissed and gaslit when I brought up the rain getting into the tent through the holes after I spent a total of $6,713.03. I felt devalued.

Sure enough it was so cheaply made it seemed like it would collapse if gently bumped, and it was filthy. We cleaned it thoroughly inside and out in preparation for use, but we were too grossed out to use it. When I returned it and explained that we hadn't used it, that the equipment was dirty and rusty, the lady's excuse was that it was the end of the season. When I explained that we didn't use it because it was gross, and that we would appreciate a refund, she was unapologetic and said "we don't do refunds". Maybe this was an isolated incident regarding the equipment condition, but the customer service is definitely lacking.

I was severely disappointed with my experience due to the price. The quality of the tables and…read morechairs was okay and some a bit dirty but that wasn't my biggest complaint. My engagement party was 9/30/17. I corresponded completely through emails and was quoted a price that included everything I need, even taxes and delivery. All items were named in the email. I was caught off guard when the price went significantly up upon arrival of the tables and chairs. I made multiple phone calls but the office wasn't open and the delivery men had to leave so I paid them and wrote on the contract I was quoted a lower price and told that they could reverse money from the office. After calling non stop all day I finally received a call back and they advised it was the fault of the man who was handling my account and if I wanted the money back it would have to come from his pocket personally because he quoted me wrong. The man called me to apologize and I spoke with him twice but never received my $70 resimbursement. I feel that was incredibly unprofessional way to handle the situation and it was never resolved. For these reasons I don't recommend using the company for cheating me out of the price I was quoted, quality and customer service over all. Many of friends are getting married and hosting parties and I have told them all to stay away.

The photos looked great and fit perfectly inside the party favor snow globes we have all the guest. The snow globe set up was super simple and the gentleman provided the upmost level of professionalism, answered all our questions, helped with last minute needs and did a great job working with the kids. Towards the end of the event, one child in particular was having a hard time, but the globe attendants helped calm him down and ensured the child got his photo taken. Great Job!
