I truly thank him for being there throughout the day to make sure all of our hired vendors were on time and on task. He even greeted my guests as they walked in! Pointed them in the right direction when someone was lost, and helped pass sparklers out for our send off at the end of the night. Being an event planner and decorator myself - it was hard to find a venue that pretty much let you have the freedom to decorate and hire outside vendors to get the job done according to my own standards. There, they let us do as we pleased. Everyone hired had to have insurance and show proof. - they do that everywhere else, so it wasn't an issue. I must say, we were assured by Gary's professionalism and courtesy that we were in good hands. Although I work here NOW, the price I paid for the Yacht Club was affordable (even then) for a New Years Eve wedding. I paid less than $5,400 for a wedding with 115guests. That includes food, dessert, liquor, and service. I know it took a while to write this review. But, we want to take a moment to thank Gary and his team at the East Rockaway Yacht Club. Mainly for working with us for what we needed and wanted for our Wedding day. That will never be forgotten. I highly recommend the East Rockaway Yacht Club for ALL events... and no, I'm not saying that because I work there now. I love the way the staff makes you feel like you're at home. It's the comfort.
