Midstate's follow up and service after the install is poor though. And the quality of the install itself was average. Midstate provides fair value overall considering the local competition. Just do not expect proactive service or any extra effort beyond the basic. Would be nice to receive reminders for annual maintenance. Would be nice to have someone call to schedule six month maintenance prepaid in service agreement. Just know its on you to track and make contact with them or risk the warranty on your equipment not being honored.

Mack Heating & Cooling installed our system in 2016 and we have always had great service until recently. I paid for the Yearly Service Agreement in 2023. A technician visited on 02/07/2023 and did everything except he was "unable to run heat mode at this time." It was noted on the invoice the technician "Will need to stop back by to verify refrigerant levels and initiate defrost mode" they never did! Honestly I forget all about until I received a call from MACK, I wanted to check my records so I let it go to voice mail. A week later (03/29/2024) Mack called again asking if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement and when I pointed out that they never returned to complete the previous service call all she said was "That's on us". She made no mention of sending a tech out, only asking if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement. She repeated "That's on us" several times but never tried to resolve the issue. Invoice Number 13140-1 Edited to reply to response ... Yes you did call and leave voice mail messages. They were to see if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement. No one ever called to schedule the return visit to "verify refrigerant levels and initiate defrost mode" ... and you still haven't completed the service for which I already paid you to do! Our AC stopped blowing cold air yesterday evening after the heavy thunderstorm. It was late…read morealready but I found Hvac Solutions Heating and Air takes calls for 24 hours. I gave them a call. Will picked up my call and asked for details how the AC stopped and what we did for the solutions. Probably while he was asking questions us over the phone, he was already diagnosing what went wrong on our AC and how to fix it . He offered to come first in the following morning and headed straight to the outside box of the AC. He fixed our AC within 30 min. We appreciate Will responded to my call even after the normal business hours and was available to come very quickly and diagnose before seeing the AC. The price (the diagnostic fee) was decent compared to the other AC repair company I called.
