Jiffy Mart - A convenient pile of cups a lids for every dirty infested pig to touch and grope before you get there.

More often than not you'll get one of the cranky women that work there. They'll talk to you like their goal is to make sure you never come back. I'm a local and get coffee and gas there every single day. I think the staff really makes the experience there horrible but it's the closest place Ivan get coffee and gas in one place on the way to work in Lebanon NH. To make matters worse you can no longer fill your personal coffee mug. You are required to use one of their paper cups. The kids for these possibly infected cups are stored upside down in a pile also with no protection. Apparently not using your own cup and using one the public had groped is supposed to stop the spread of the Corona virus. Yesterday I saw a guy try to get a coffee cup from the pile. Several cups stuck together so he pulled the extra two cups off and placed them back on the pile for the next person to use. He did the same with the lids this time separating them by peeling them apart by placing his fingers INSIDE the lid and pulling them apart. The ones he put his fingers in returned to the pile for future use. I refused to get coffee there yesterday. Today I went in with a plan. I was going in and taking the very bottom cup and fill my own cup using their bottom cup which,by logic probably a safe bet. I informed the young lady what I'd be doing just so she was aware I was not using/filling my own cup. I was told my cup wasn't even allowed in the store and I needed to get it out. I looked at her for a second trying to figure out how a person/company thus dumb could survive in this world. I heard another woman screaming at me from the back half which is some sort of restaurant. ( when open their food is obviously frozen, and possibly microwaved, is bland and is served by a service staff that does not understand the meaning of customer service) the lady yelling at me was about 5'6" dark curly hair and glasses. She is one of the worse customer service people I have ever seen. She is yelling from the restaurant across the store telling me to get out. I can't be in the store with my cup. The distance between us might have been about 100feet and I could hear her clearly. She is screaming across a busy store filled with customers who know me and here she is embarrassing me because she doesn't care about customer service. She only cares about her power and putting people in their place. I've decided I'd rather go to two separate places for coffee and gas in the morning. It'll make it so I have to get up earlier but it's better than starting my day having to listen to the craziness from the staff at this Jiffy Mart. Heads up I did try to contact customer service for Jiffy Mart company. The coffee cup rule is company wide. They refused to listen to any type of reasoning or logic concerning the cups and refused to acknowledge the incredibly horrible customer service I'd received. 1 Star is really 1 Star to many. If I could reach the world with this review I'd tell everyone to stay away. The chances of you getting any type of service, let alone good customer service is slim to none

We stopped here on April 8th on our way back to Woodstock following seeing the eclipse in Newport…read more We had already been on the road about six hours (should have only been about an hour or so, but TRAFFIC!!) Our entire group was exhausted, looking for a snack and restroom. The place was mobbed with people doing the same thing, as this place is right off the highway. We got out of the car, it was a few minutes before 10:00pm and a woman who works there was yelling at the long line of cars trying to get gas that she was cutting the pumps off at 10! "We close at 10!". She nearly caused a riot with the crowd that seemed mostly calm. Inside there's a line 20 people deep for the restroom and she's yelling everybody has to get out at 10! Someone tells her the website says it's 24 hrs! She yells back that it hasn't been 24 hrs in years. (So change the website!). This was a once in a lifetime solar eclipse. Everyone else in the area was prepared for the influx if people but not Jiffy Mart and this rude woman. She proceeds to scream that she's been there since 6am and she's shutting the place down. I bet her boss and the owners are real thrilled that she threw thousands of dollars down the drain and nearly caused a riot!! The worst part of it all was when she's kicking people out and trying to lock the door, two elderly Veterans tried to get in to use the restroom. She's telling them they are closed. People were still inside and they were begging! "Do you know what's going on out here?' She says, "Yeah, Alot of traffic." And slams the door on them. The highlight of my trip was watching this rude woman throw out two vets who needed to use the facilities! Way to go Mobil Gas. Way to go Jiffy Mart. If I could give you no stars I would. And judging from the other reviews completely unrelated to the epic eclipse, you need to reevaluate your staff. Because they are treating your regulars the same way. Hope you are very happy about losing all the money this woman cost you on April 8th

It seems a little odd to write a review for a gas station. After all, aren't they all…read moreinterchangeable -- like McDonalds? Not in this case. As my 12 year old has noted, Vermont gas stations are a breed of their own. Many seem to carry local products, freshly made food, wine, craft beers and all sorts of other goodness. This Mobil is truly exceptional on this front, a great gift for travelers everywhere. Staff are unfailingly kind and hospitable. Let me repeat that: The STAFF ARE WONDERFUL, especially the beautiful, cheerful woman working on Christmas Eve!!! If there were some sort of award for loveliest employee ever, she would easily win. There's a huge variety of fermented, probiotic pickles; maple syrup + maple products; delectable deviled eggs; portable, locally-made jerky; wine; Lawson's and other locally brewed craft beer; candy and small toys; batteries; Advil and allergy medicine; windshield wiper fluid; and when it's not almost closing time on Christmas Eve, some frou frou, way-better-than-they-have-to-be-for-a-gas-station finds like pizza, chicken tenders, fried ravioli, prepared and made-to-order sandwiches, hot dogs and bratwurst, soups and stews, cookies and whoopie pies from a local bakery. On Christmas Eve, local grocery stores locked their doors by 5:45 p.m. for a 6 p.m. close, so we were unable to pick up some staples when we arrived at exactly 5:45 p.m. This Mobil came to the rescue and we stocked up on some basics (local craft brews, wine, eggnog, milk, delectable deviled eggs, locally-made cheddar + Babybel cheese... which go nicely in little pockets for skiing). These helped make our dinner a celebration rather than just another meal. So very, very grateful for this place.
