Rum Brook Market - Green Mountain Coffee

Rum Brook Market

This little deli is a local treasure in a rural area. It is very conveniently located in the aptly…read morenamed Rum Brook Plaza between a gas station, Helen's Place (open for lunch and dinner), and a small brookside park. At lunchtime, the parking lot is like a beehive with cars and trucks of people working in the area pulling in and back out with freshly made sandwiches, salads (not green salads, but the kind made with real mayonnaise), and those huge dill pickles that used to stand around in barrels at old time delis. There are individual servings of desserts in a refrigerator, a smattering of fresh produce, fresh breads, snacks, beverages (including beer and wine, and there is even a tiny wine alcove), ice cream, birthday candles and other things you might need once in a while but can't seem to lay your hands on. In the mornings, there are house-made breakfast sandwiches in a warmer so people can grab and go. The people work hard and are kind and friendly. We stopped in on Memorial Day - along with everyone else in the area - to pick up potato salad, seafood salad, and macaroni salad, and they were prepared! It was all hands on deck at the deli, shelves were stocked, and there were extra checkout clerks. Whether it's at the unofficial kickoff to summer or on snowy day, the fine folks at Rum Brook Market are there to make your day just that much more satisfying.

I mentioned it to the girl, who already was clearly ready to go home... we walk back to show her the price it's being advertised, takes my dessert, puts it back, and says "well that's the price in the register, there's nothing I can do for you" extremely rude. I get it was right before closing, but there was no need for the miserable attitude. was passing through NH- glad I WONT be back. Working in customer service? Have a better attitude.

The Jiffy Mart on Hanover Street in Lebanon New Hampshire is a dumpster fire. There is a clerk…read morethere named Dwayne. He is really rude. I went into the store one day and was trying to buy some alcohol, a pizza and some chips. I had 8 things total. I got to the counter he said they have no bags. Subway is in the same store, so I walked over and got some bags from them. He went on to preach to me why i do not need a bag. How I could carry these items under this arm and the others under my other arm. I said something about it to his manager and they gave me a 20-dollar gift card for free. To make up for it. Then Dwayne started more shit telling me I took it too far by talking to his manager. He started running his mouth to me about my weight. I told his manager about that too. I went in another night and was at the counter trying to purchase alcohol. As soon as I got to the counter he left and went outside and decided to change all of the trashes around the gas pumps making me wait about 20 minutes. I spoke with his manager. I went in another night and was purchasing a 12 pack of coolers light. Cans in a box with a handle. Because we had our previous encounter with me not getting bags, he decided to be sarcastic about it and put the 12 pack of cans in a flimsy white bag. It would easily rip and would serve no purpose. I said OK man this is just sarcasm. He told me he was not going to serve me at all and denied me the sale. I spoke with his manager. She told me if I didn't like dealing with it just don't come in the store when he's here. Eventually I started calling the managers, manager. I called Exxon Mobil who owns the place. I made a report with them and told them everything. So, I decided to boycott the store. Thats not how you talk to and treat people, especially customers. I have not been in there in months. I went in the other night and Dwayne told me I was not allowed in the store. I said well nobody has ever told me I am not allowed in the store. So I spoke with his manager the next day. She told me I told you not to come in here. I said no you told me that I should not come in while Dwayne is working. She didn't want to deal with disciplining her associate. So, it's easier for her to blame me and tell me not to come in. Also, they are short staffed so if he quits, she will have to cover his shifts. So, it's easier for her to blame me. There is a difference between you are not allowed in the store and you should just not come in while he is working. Even that is bullshit. Discipline your associate. So, the manager told me over the phone, ok I'm telling you not to come in the store. So, I called Exxon Mobil again and they told me I have done nothing wrong, and I can absolutely go in the store. So, i called the store and told the manager that. The next day i called down there to make sure the headquarters had communicated to her that I can go in. She told me if I kept calling the store she would have her security guy deal with me. So, i called Exxon Mobil again and made a report about that. I also Called The Lebanon NH Police Department and told them everything that had happened. This is a bad manager covering for a bad associate trying to Ban me from the store because Dwayne has no customer service skills. Lebanon NH Police Department told me I was not trespassed from the store, and they made a note of what's going on there. I made a report with Exxon Mobil too. The people at Exxon Mobil have received several reports from me and they told me on the phone this isn't my fault, and this is on their end, and they will be dealing with it.

They informed me that is not a state law, so they don't have to enforce it or live by it. Beware that this is not a very safe place to go. As a staff is not concerned about mask usage.
