They had purchased the RV on Saturday, and by Sunday night, they had no AC. We could tell that they were struggling, and it was over 100 degrees in Memphis. There was no way I was going to be in my RV, cool as a cucumber, and watch them struggle. Tommy was referred to us by Dillon at Southaven RV & Marine. Tommy came out and, seeing the situation, stepped up and replaced their converter on their rig. Tommy knew this couple was struggling financially, and we paid for the repair. Tommy donated his time and didn't charge for installation or a service call. He truly helped people out in a time of need, and if we are ever in Memphis, Tommy is our guy. Head unit could not be replaced so we had to work around that with various components. Their recommended components weren't cheap but the quality was good. I don't know stereos from a hole in the ground but knew I wanted it to sound better than my mediocre factory unit. Tried to get a system to match the Bose ten-speaker system in the higher-trim version of the car I had, but it would have been prohibitively expensive to do the extensive body modifications. When they finished up they told me they didn't install two particular components because they found the system worked fine without them. Appreciated the honesty (and $ savings). When I first tried out the new system in their parking lot I was a bit underwhelmed and got grumpy. The installer could hear the difference but I couldn't. But later discovered it was mainly because the source music recording had rather limited dynamic range to begin with. Soon after on the way home I played some music of higher sonic quality and I could REALLY tell the difference then! Big time! So I felt a little sheepish about how unenthusiastic I was when I first got the car back from them, especially considering how much extra effort it took them to deal with that make/model car. It's been 13 months since then and I'm still happy. (I don't write Yelp reviews until I've lived with the product/service for a while.) Sound system doesn't get ear-shatteringly loud like I expected it should, but at my age perhaps that's for the best. I'd definitely return to them for other work and recommend others to do the same.

I've always been able to fix it myself until now when my motor needed repair. I've always bought my parts from Ladd's. I've looked up prices online and found Ladd's to still be less expensive. Not only that, the parts have always been in stock. I needed brushes for my motor which turned into a $600 repair. I looked for parts online and found them to be inexpensive, but I wasn't sure which part I needed. It turns out that the brushes on my motor are very expensive. Not knowing the part number, I'll just have to take their word for it. They've been square with me before so I think they're honest. They helped me unload when I got there, had it fixed within one week, and they loaded it up on my trailer for me. Not only that, but I got it back clean! They washed it! Thanks Ladd's!
