At the first appt for alterations, she let me tell her what I thought needed to be fixed first before offering her suggestions. She did this bc something she might see as an issue might not even bother me. Overall, it was a good experience and I'm very happy with the outcome. She made me feel like a queen in my dress and I cannot wait to show it off on my wedding day. *Parking: There's plenty of parking out front, and more in the lot across front the store. It is a very busy lot, and sometimes drivers from the Starbucks drive through gets stuck trying to leave. I go the next morning she does the pinning then I get to the register they start talking in their language and then told me $150. $150?!! is insane for a dress alteration I've been to them before and got charged WAY much less. I told them that was super high and the lady snatched the dress from the counter and whispered "such a waste of time" and starting taking the pins out. Very nasty behavior and rude I will not be going back.

Other…read moreshops, I had to wait for the staff member to hang up the gown (including the train loop) before they would get the next one down for me to wear. Here, Melanie would hand me a new gown as i handed her the old one. She'd let me step into it (instead of micromanaging me and dressing me like a toddler like some other places), she'd clamp/zip me up, I'd come out, show it off, then go back into the changing room and take it off, and rinse & repeat. They have a cute floral backdrop to take pics against as well. They had a nice selection of dresses. Three of my bridesmaids joined me for this trip and they all felt comfortable and that they could be themselves. Some other shops I've been to were stiff or very quiet. Diamonds & Pearls was also the first (and only!) shop to suggest turning off the lights so I could see how the dress would look at night time and in darker settings. They do offer in house alterations as well. The only downside to this place was that they didn't have multiple mirrors to see different angles; it was just the one large mirror per my photo. Overall I really enjoyed working with Melanie! She was in my top 2 of bridal shop attendants I've had. My appointment was 90 minutes and because of how efficient it was, I got to try on a lot of dresses!

Mr. Chung was friendly and professional--he has been in the business for over 45 years! He promptly attended to her (even though she had not made a reservation or called ahead) and to take the measurements, he provided her with shoes because she forgot to bring hers. A week later, which is so fast for this type of gown, she picked it up and it was perfectly hemmed to "floor length." The stitches on the delicate mesh lining are immaculate and both the outer and inner skirts' hems are even all around. So glad to know we have a reliable and skilled tailor to whom we can take our fancier clothes for alterations!
