Dont do it. Just dont. Ted comes off as a nice guy, makes promises of guaranteed excellence, but his work is sub-par. I actually asked him if he got his subs in the Home Depot parking lot. I don't think ANY of them were vetted. Extremely messy/sloppy workers.
I dont think any of these workers knows how to use a level.
Where do I begin? Poorly laid tile.(Part of it had to be redone, but actually the entire room should have been redone.). Walls built crooked and crooked tile placed ontop of them! (walls look like they are leaning inward). Doors installed crooked and incorrectly, so they dont even close correctly. (they tried to fix it but they dont know what they are doing, so they still dont seal or close all the way).
Toilets installed wrong. They installed a toilet so close to the wall, even me, a skinny person, was crammed up against the wall, arms pushed against the wall when seated on it. They were able to jerry rig it with a crooked pipe to pull it away from the wall, but this is worrisome.
Walls painted the wrong colors, even though all the cans were labeled WALLS and CEILING. Low skill drywall/painters. They left big seams on the drywall and big globs of mud un-sanded. Looks like a kindergartener did the drywall. One painter actually cleaned his roller full of white paint on the top of my landscape boulders! Spilled paint on my neighbors driveway, (yeah, they just spray painted over it to try to cover it instead of cleaning it.). The actually dripped paint over all of the door hinges and newly laid tile. I spent a weekend scraping it all off!
On one wall, they didnt even fully paint the fresh drywall. There are big patches of raw drywall that never got painted.
They would just throw their steel tools (hammers, screwdrivers, etc) on top of my brand new granite without covering it. Had a (George Brazil)plumber over one day and he was so upset, he said he could barely move around the property there was so much crap everywhere and then he had stepped on a nail.He said "How do you deal with these people? Ive never seen such a sloppy job site".
The job was bid saying it would take 6 weeks. It took more than 6 months.
The electrician who was supposed to change out my panel told me the permits would take 3 months, well its been 8 months and he just never came back. Glad I didnt pay the deposit that I offered to pay. Glad he didnt come back since the rest of the work was so shoddy. read more
