Auto Spot - The car I wanted but was sold before I got there without a heads up

Auto Spot

About what I expected in the way of a dealer, very friendly all the way through but things get a…read morebit rocky when it gets down to business. Autospot was the last stop after searching for the vehicle I wanted. The salesmen/dealer who I'd been in contact with was pleasant on the phone, with his emails and in person. He eagerly talked up the vehicle and answered questions I had about it. So far so good but when now we start negotiating, for the first time I'd seen at a dealer with all the other "fees" the car came out to be almost $1500 more than the list price! Heads up guys you're supposed to decrease the price in order to move the car. Clearly its about money at this point. We go back and forth with the "authorization fee" and "documentation fee" and whatever else he pulled out and settled on a price. Even after that we had to negotiate the inclusion of a replaced windshield that they wanted to charge for! It was badly cracked. They turned around and did it in a couple short hours and we made a deal which was good. The location is right off of Rt. 17 and huddled together with several other dealers which makes the area a bit congested, so if you go -- ask one of the dealers to park in a bay. So is it worth it? I'd say yes. Go ready to haggle and sniff out nonsense they try to get over on. Someone knowledgeable about cars or sales is a plus but just have your wits about you and dont be too quick to answer yes about everything. They have a large selection of preowned cars and they were nice which should be a given but does help the process.

I was scheduled an appointment for a test drive and begged them to not waste my time seeing as I was coming from another state. They promised me the car would be there waiting for me. When I arrived I was given the bad news that the car was sold at 8PM, same time they were closed which disturbed and traumatized me. I had my hopes set so high for the vehicle and to be let down was so disappointing. I wasted hard earned money and fuel to get there and have my wishes diminished in an instant was heartbreaking. They offered to show me other vehicles that might peak my interest but the situation got worse as the more vehicles they showed me I realized they were selling vehicles with issues. Some had oil leaking in the transmission as well as debris as if squirrels or rats were resting there. Some engines had knocking noises and check engine lights on. I couldn't believe they were offering vehicles like this to the public. If you are reading this consider this a heads up and a warning to look for another dealership because this clearly wasn't it. Would never recommend this business to anyone. #PSA #HelpingtheCommunitybuysafely

Royalty Auto Sales - Condition of vehicle received

Shopping for a used car around the 80k to 90k range is a scary ordeal. I found this business from the website cargurus and luckily it was only 10 minutes from the George Washington Bridge which was kind of important because I was coming from Long Island. When I got out there they had a good assortment of vehicles including suv's , luxury sedans, minivans, and lesser expensive cars. I was shopping only for a Cadillac STS under $9,000 and under 90,000 miles. They had one, but it had been sitting on the lot for 7 months. I'm sure they picked it up at auction and while they weren't very negotiable with the price they were accommodating when I asked for some repairs to be done as well as allowing me to take it to a Cadillac dealership 20 minutes away to get a full diagnostic done on it (on my done of course). My salesman Benny worked with me for about a week to facilitate the sale and overall I'm pretty happy with the service I got. The one thing that disappointed me was even though there was no rush, on the first day after the test drive I was asked, "so you wanna to buy the car today?" I explained to them that's not how I do business and over the next week there was no further rush to complete the sale. I'll update in a few months though. ...

The cars they sell are very clean, seem to be in good shape. Just bought a van there only 21000 miles, clean and in good shape. I am happy with it. I had lost my title to my trade-in, and didn't have my ins. cards. The office guys helped me get the docs I needed and I could take the van with me the day of trade-in. Thanks, guys!

By far the best BMW dealership in service center I've ever been too! Highly recommend it if you haven't been to the one in Hackensack on Park Avenue. You can tell by how I'm stuttering and repeating myself how impressed I am with the overall experience and where I was treated in a very difficult situation where my keys were stolen and they're duplicates! They treated me with respect and are prompt and helpful and I'm so excited to be working with them :-)

Do not trust this dealership for new car sales, leases or repairs…read moreI had my lease "bmw certified " by this dealership so they could make $ off my buy out. I had mentioned that I had some issues with my I drive and after they took my money to "certify the car" they told me everything was fine. I brought the car back several time with continued issues with the I drive and they continued to tell me they could not "replicate the problem". After I on multiple occasions insisted there was a problem they "inspected" the I drive in more detail and they said there was no issue and they " cleaned out the device" but everything passed their tests and looked fine. immediately after picking up the car the I drive issue was worse. After returning the car to look into the issue in more detail all of a sudden out on nowhere they then claimed " there was traces of liquid that were not or almosy not visible by the eye" I asked them that there was an issue before being certified , they certified it , then they said there was no problem and then magically there was " signs of liquid that could not be seen by the eye " The dealership is saying to replace the troubled unit is $6,000.00 $ plus even though they certified the unit until there was a problem and then they clam they was no visible signs of "liquid" despite there was never a liquid spill in the vehicle. After trying to find a solution with the dealership they were not accommodating and were rude in me trying to resolve the issue in a mutually beneficial solution where they were not exploiting their loyal BMW customer. Pleas reconsider working with this dealership as I have worked with other NJ dealerships who have been much more accommodating I only wish I had bought the BMW from a more customer focused dealership which appears to be any other BMW dealership in NJ. Avoid this dealership at all coasts as they DO NOT CARE about their customers and only seek to exploits them for their own financial gains. If you reach out I am happy to explain how they lied and exploited my wife an my faith to take our money. Hopefully you take this worming in dealing with park ave so you can go to a different BMW dealership or a more quality premium brand like Mercedes or Audie Avoid this dealer and service center at all coasts !!!!!!!!
