we bought a washer and dryer 2 months ago from here. Customer service was always good, very nice…read more We had an issue with the washer and a tech went out and fixed it quickly. Recently the dryer stopped working, we called the store since it was still under the warranty. The woman who runs the store was helpful and offerent to give us a new dryer. Delivery was set up and on day of delivery, the guys told us they're not bringing in, that they weren't told to do that. That information wasn't shared with us prior to delivery, we took the door off so the guys can easily bring it in. The guys that delivered said they have to call the store to ask about it but instead drove off without saying anything. I called the store to speak to the woman and express my frustration. She told us that guys had somewhere else to go and wasn't going to pay for them to bring it inside and install. I didn't ask to install but to bring inside since we werent able to and if they didn't want to install, we could do it. Unfortunately she kept saying no they won't do it, she's not their boss, and can't tell them what to do. It was left outside on a rainy day. I explained my issue with that and i don't think it's good customer service especially since we were sold a dryer that only lasted two months. She then proceeded to get defensive and blamed us for breaking the dryer. That was even more frustrating and I told her that I won't be using her store any further and won't be able to give a good review and she then hung up the phone on me. It's a shame because up until today, they were great. The store was nice, had a good selection of items which even used, looked pretty new. I also need to replace our fridge, stove, microwave but will need to look for another store

I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales…read moreprocess started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

I had an installation of several windows completed yesterday. I couldn't have had a better…read moreexperience. The windows, of course, are great. I can already feel the difference in the house. Our installers, Shane & Mike were fantastic. Arrived on time, were very courteous, and went about their job with a fervor. They were obviously very experienced and competent. When they were done, they went over everything with us, and when they left, with the exception of the windows, it was like they were never here, the cleanup was complete. I will be having more windows replaced in the future and, even if I have to wait, I will definitely request Shane & Mike be the installation crew. I must add that the entire situation, from the sales rep, Andrew Pras, the office staff, through to completion was very pleasant, informative and comfortable.

I had previously have Home Depot come in for a quote on changing a pair of broken windows. The…read morequote they provided was 4.5k for a pair of windows Low-E4 SmartSun HeatLock with frame, labor, and no tax included. The windows were made by Andersen. Then the next day I had Renewal By Andersen come to give me a quote and the quote on the same windows and material was approx 8.5k. Same material, same qty, frame, labor, not tax, etc. The seller was trying to up-sell me with features that I didn't need. And he showed me couple of samples trying to show by should we do it with them and that why to choose low-E4 and stuff. He used a heat meter and a heat source and couple of glass material in between to show how the glasses would insulate the heat and lower the bill during the seasons. Then I took the heat meter and walked outside to show that it wont get that hot except when you are near the sun and the seller tried to change the convo to another direction. Then he tried to pressure me to make decision right away to get 5% more in discount. The seller was also trying to persuade me to choose them and not to do more homework after meeting him. I hate those sales tactics, especially having done the homework beforehand... Also, the seller and I went through outside walkthrough and he pointed me that all the vinyls are from heat expansion and dissipation from the wall to the vinyls. In my mind they are more like wear and tear and a change in tape should be able to do the job just fine. And the seller kept up-selling me their services. From that point on, it made me realize they were not honest at all and shouldn't use their services... The next day I called Andersen, which is their parent company and inquired on the sashes and they told me that even though they are their parent company, Renewal By Andersen makes different type of windows and not the same as Andersen. And the seller didn't disclose this but instead said their windows are made by Andersen, and neither they recommended to obtain the sashes replacement. Having explore all the options with all the parties, the best option would be to buy replacement directly from Andersen themselves and if you are handy then do the changes yourselves... Definitely NOT recommend Renewal by Andersen, and would recommend to do your homework thoroughly ahead of time and consult with other alternatives like: Home Depot, Andersen, and other before moving forward. In addition, read other review in Yelp and Google and you will see their underhanded tactics and it is not just me but with most of the customers...
